Populate Menucontrol From Mysql Db?

i want to populate my menucontrol with data from my mysql db. It seems hard to find anything on the net that is not in C# and mssql.
I actually want to have all my parentnodes and childnodes in one table, but i have found an example where they use 2 tables, 1 holding the parentnodes and 1 for the childnodes, so i try this way first. It was written in C# and MsSql but i have tried to convert it. Here is my code so far. The result is that the my page is blank, no errors or anything, but the menu won't show?What have i done wrong?

I have a menucontrol (<asp:Menu ID="Menu1" runat="server" Orientation="Horizontal">) that i want to populate with data from my mysql database. I want to populate both parentnodes and childnodes. The code below works great with a treeview but i want to get it to work on menucontrol.
This code gets the parentnodes but not the childnodes. The code that is commented away is copied from my treeview page and i is needed to populate the childnodes in my treeview with populateOnDemand.. I know you i can't use that with menucontrols, so how do i populate a menucontrol with my childnodes?

I have searched a while for a good solution for this, but i have only found solutions with XML files and mssql.
I have 2 tables. Table parent holds the parent nodes and table child holds the childnodes related to the parentnodes.
Table parent looks like this: pID as integer (pk), parentName as varchar
Table child looks like this: cID as integer (pk), parentID as integer, childName as varchar
I want to populate the treeview with data from these tables! How can i do that?

The problem I have is that I've got a simple ASP.NET page. On it, I have a dropdownlist that is calling values from a MySQL table.
When I select a value from the list, I want to create/update a GridView.
I've created the code, which works if I hard code the parameter, but I want to use the DataValueField from the drop down list.
Is this possible?

I have a page 3 datacontrols (in order, datalist->grid->listview, the selection from one feeds into the next) works perfectly locally, using dot net connector for mysql. My webhost uses ODBC, and I had to remove [ ] from the select statements in my code and put the table names. I removed the [ ] 's and my page runs, and my 1st/datalist control shows but now my "selected value" of my datalist, doesn't populate my grid control. I imagine theres another peculiarity with the way odbc handles parameters. Here is my original, for my grid:

I have a master page with a Menu Control I have added 3 Sub items to the Web.SiteMap they appear in the correct place on the form.
Now need to set the properties for the SubMenu Items... Except when I goto...

i have created menus using menucontrol (populated using database) its showing me menu items properly.now menu items goes out of screen (viewing area of the screen)i want to wrap that menu items means if the menu items goes out of the screen it will automatically shows the remaining menu items to the next line... and i have taken menucontrol in span tag..

Why does a very simple script which inserts 26,000 records into a mysql database (myisam, no transactions) take 13 seconds in the php implementation, and then 35-50 seconds using mono+mysql connector? I thought asp.net was faster than php? Could the problem be the mono mysql connector is "platform independent", so the performance just stinks? or does asp.net suffer more overhead than php when it comes to executing each query? Aren't there any native linux binaries for mysql connector for mono that may be faster?

I have used ASD.NET code using SQL Database for Transaction operation successfully. By changing the Database Code to interface with MYSQL an Error occurs. If I remove the Transaction Code from within the the application, it works OK by displaying the MYSQL data (Read Only) in the layout of the application. I am using Mysql Essential-4.1.22-win32 and MYSQL Connector ODBC-3.51.2. My objective is to EDIT the MYSQL Data.

I'm thinking the problem here is with my SQL Syntax, but I'm not sure and need a fresh pair of eyes to check it out. This is the code I'm using to connect to and then insert into the DB:

I am trying to get an RSS feed on my website from a MySQL database (using VB.Net). I've been using [URL] as a starting pioint.
So far I have:
rss.aspx......
[Code]....
rss.aspx.vb.....
[Code]....
My problem is that it displays a completely blank page! No error, no text, nothing. I've tried just using the code to create a static XML file (without connecting to the database) and it still doesn't work.
Is there something that I am doing wrong or should i do it in a completely different way?

I just moved to a new 2008 64 Bit Server. We are using MySQL, now also the 64 Bit version. Now I found out that there is a 64 Bit ODCB Driver, but not an 64 Bit Net/Connector.
Is that an issue or is the .NET Connector by default 32 and 64 Bit?

My local computer is 64 bit but the downloads for the .Net mySql connector found here:[URL]are 32 bit. I installed the 32 bit file however, whenever I try to input any new connector information after the 1st keystroke the box disappears. So I'm assuming that it has more to do with my machine being 64 bit rather than 32. Is there a 64 bit version of this connector?
UPDATE:
It is the Add a Connection box.
After I enter anything into any of the textboxes the above box just disappears.

I am trying to get a simple prototype using ASP.NET S#arp-architecture (Sharp architecture) to run on a shared hosting site. This site runs in medium trust, which appears to give problems with this framework. At first I went off on a wild goose chase with the mySQL.data.dll, but the latest version already supports partially trusted callers. The only way I found up until now is this blogpost, which basically describes re-compiling everything from the ground up, starting with the various Castle components. Is this the only way to get this to work, and more importantly, does this actually work?
I have had some good experiences with S#arp-architecture, and since I only have a few days to build this prototype, I figured S#arp-architecture would be a good match. So, my options are to stick with SA, or on the other end of the spectrum to hand-roll an MVC/NH/mySQL application.

I've installed the Components from the links below. But I still can't find any SQL references when I try to add them? I'm wondering if anyone would know the reason for this?
