I am not getting expected output from the above code, get the proper output?
One of my sql/ado INSERT commands is not working and I think it might have something to do with the following error I get: "Expected ')' WtrHydInspection.aspx Line:1 Code:0 Char:22" The page runs OK, the error just shows up as a little error icon in the bottom left. I have gone through every page of code that has something to do with the execution, searched for all the parentheses, both left and right, and I can't find a missing one (Regardless if it has something to do with the INSERT not working. I think I should find out what it is and fix it)
I have a weird issue. I loaded a page using "LoadMyPageController" and there is an ajax_submit_button1 which can be used submit the page. Also there is another ajax_submit_button2 to print the page. This button submits the view model of the page as a whole to the "PrintController" which has a "PrintData" action.
Now when I hit the "ajax_submit_button2", my PrintController.PrintData is not invoked. Instead when I check my fiddler tool the request is made as [URL] which is an invalid URL. I have contructed my ajax_submit_button2 in such a way that it should invoke [URL] But I don't know why LoadMyPage controller is present in my URL. By any chance does asp .net MVC decides that it will take a default controller on its own if it can't find the controller action for any reason. The code is a kind of tightly coupled so can't post it. I want to know if anyone experienced a problem like this.

I'm trying to get a CompareValidator to work but having a few problems. If the submit button does not run a function it works fine, but the validator does not work if there is a function attached to the button.
Here's the code.
Sub myGo(sender As Object, e As EventArgs)
response.redirect("http://www.google.co.uk")
End Sub
and
<form runat="server">
<asp:TextBox id="txt1" runat="server" /> = <asp:TextBox id="txt2" runat="server" /> <asp:Button OnClick="myGo" Text="not working with onclick" runat="server" /> <asp:Button Text="working button" runat="server" />
<br />
<asp:CompareValidator EnableClientScript="false" id="compval" Display="dynamic" ControlToValidate="txt1" ControlToCompare="txt2" Type="String" Text="Validation Failed!" runat="server" />
</form>

I have a reporting module (C# asp.net) that uses dynamic controls to represent the varying parameters of the selected reports.The dynamic controls build and display fine (XML stored in SQL Server 2008 and XSLT for the transform into HTML).My problem is that I have a drop down list(not dynamically created) that contains the report names as text and the report id's as the value. This DDL posts back when its selected index changes. When the DDL posts back, a session and viewstate variable containing the selected report id is populated. I want to read this variable and use it to generate the dynamic parameter controls.
View 1 RepliesI have the following Extension Method
Imports System.Runtime.CompilerServices
Namespace Extensions
Public Module IntegerExtensions
<Extension()>
Public Function ToCommaDeliminatedNumber(ByVal int As Integer) As String
Dim _input As String = int.ToString
Select Case int
Case Is > 99999 : Return _input.Remove(_input.Length - 3) & "k"
Case Is > 9999 : Return Math.Round(Double.Parse(int / 1000), 1).ToString & "k"
Case Is > 999 : Return String.Format("{0:N0}", int)
Case Else : Return _input
End Select
End Function
End Module
End Namespace
And in one of my classes I'm using user.Reputation.ToCommaDeliminatedNumber I am importing the Extensions Namespace into the Class, but the error I'm getting is...'ToCommaDeliminatedNumber' is not a member of 'Integer?'. I do have other Extension Methods for Strings and Dates that work exactly as expected... I'm just at a loss on this one.
I keep getting the error ') expected' and 'Invalid expression )' on the following code:

I'm using roundedcorner extender for panel.following is code,

For the life of me, I can't figure out what the problem is with this:
tempData= from a in dx.SomeTable select a;
string searchField="ItemName";
string searchString="BoxPkg";
object[] parameters=new object[]{searchField,searchString};
tempData = tempData.Where("@0 like @1", parameters);
I get this error " {"Expression of type 'Boolean' expected"} "

View 1 RepliesI'm using the CustomValidation Function to call my javascript but for some reason I'm not getting the * to indicate the error to the user. I keep getting a Function expected Error, so what is wrong with my javascript that's causing this error and why aren't I receiving the * notification?
Javascript:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
function checkAGITotal()
{
var a = document.getElementById('<%= NumberInHouseholdTxtbox.clientid %>').value;
var b = document.getElementById('<%= AGITotalTxtbox.clientid %>').value;
if (a == "1" && b <= "27247" || a == "2" && b <= "35630" || a == "3" && b <= "44014" || a == "4" && b <= "52397" || a == "5" && b <= "60781" || +
a == "6" && b <= "69164" || a == "7" && b <= "70736" || a == "8" && b <= "74020" || a == "9" && b <= "81500" || a == "10" && b <= "88980" || +
a == "11" && b <= "96460" || a == "12" && b <= "103940")
return true;
else

I have a procedure that is used on a search page.. im trying to provide a highlevel resultset which you can then click on a record to view all records associated with it.
My expectation is to return 5 columns.. the ID and Date is what i want to group on.. so that if there are 10 records for ID=5 and Date=10/25/2010 then in my results i would have 1 record. Once im done with the page, you can then click on that line in the gridview to view the 10 records for that id. Does that make sense?
I have the following query, but for the criteria i entered, im getting back 3 records instead of just 2 since there is a differnet reboot count, BUT i really still just need overall data. so it should be only 1 record and seen below is what is returned and what is expected..
[Code]....
Here are the 3 records..
Currently returned
id Event Date Mount Errors Reboot Count J1939
225 11/01/2010 0 11 0
225 11/01/2010 0 11 0
225 11/01/2010 0 12 0
Expected returned
id Event Date Mount Errors Reboot Count J1939
225 11/01/2010 0 34 0

I've got a few ComboBoxes on a page which worked fine before. I can't recall making any changes to the form but now I get an "Object Expected" javascript error when the page loads and the comboxes don't load/work.
On debugging from IE, the highlighted error is in MicrosoftAjax.js in the piece of code
var a=g?new h(g):new h
I am facing an interesting issue related to user control validation. I have a strongly typed user control with address entity. I have also created the address entity metadata class with validation definitions. This user control is basically to search and get the address based on the pincode user input. Pincode field is part of the user control and I have defined the required field and regexp validator for pincode field in the address metatdata class.
Now the user control is partially rendered in the customer page where I want to validate the pincode field in the customer page when the user clicks the search button in the user control.But the strange thing is the validation is not working as expected when I click the search button but when I bind the form collection to the entity using update module, I am getting an error. Can anyone help me what all I need to consider in the control ascx page and in the customer aspx page and in the controller?
I have an .aspx page that contains an <asp:Login> web control. For authentication, I have another class (MyMembershipProvider) that inherits System.Web.Security.MembershipProvider class.The login process is working fine - i.e. username/password is properly authenticated by the MyMembershipProvider object.
My question is in regards to setting System.Web.SessionState.HttpSessionState.Session variables.After a user has been successfully authenticated (by the MyMembershipProvider class), I would like to create custom Session vars for that user.Initially, I thought I would be able to set the Session variables in the <asp:Login> control's LoggedIn event handler - something like this:
protected void LoginUser_LoggedIn(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//Get the UserName of the authenticated user
string userName = Thread.CurrentPrincipal.Identity.Name;[code].....
I have a web page that allows a user to view a pdf and print pdf. The print pdf is a copy of the display pdf and i am using ItextSharp to inject the javascript to allow auto printing. I have a method that allows a user to upload a pdf and it calls this method below to copy the display copy into a pdf. Both pdf's are then saved in the database. However , when a user goes to click on the print button on my web page they receive the following error "expected a dict object". below is my code that adds in the auto print, which works fine for me but not on my clients site.
I am doing anything wrong that could be corrupting the file. The original pdf content is passed in as a Binary Object. Also i am using ASP.NET MVC2.
MemoryStream originalPdf = new MemoryStream(Content.BinaryData);
MemoryStream updatedPdf = new MemoryStream();
updatedPdf.Write(Content.BinaryData,0, Content.BinaryData.Length);[code]....
I have a drop down list that is populated with customer IDs. When I write to the db a value of 11 is written for the customer ID 13 when it is chosen from the drop down . I thought this was because I was using the SelectedIndex and how it is 0 based like an array. In the drop down list I choose 13. Id 2 is missing from the drop down list because that record was deleted. I thought these two things together explained the two digit discrepancy with the what i got when I used the Selected Index property. I then decided to use the SelectedValue property which should give me 13 when I choose 13 in the drop down list.
The same thing happens when I use the SelectedValue property. I used the SelectedValue property and chose 13 in the drop down list. This also gave me 11 as the value that was written to the db. This makes no sense to me. If I chose 13 in the drop down then 13 should have been written to the db when using the SelectedValue.
I'm using a Sql Data Source temporarily to populate this with the CustID.
