AJAX :: Cascading Dropdown Reset SelectedIndex Or Selectedvalue?

I searched the forum for several days now , but can't find an answer to my problem.
I have 4 Ajax Cascading DropDown named,
ddlCatalogueName > ddlMainGroup > ddlSubGroup > ddlPageNumbers ,
I am passing the values obtained from ddlSubGroup and ddlPageNumbers to a datasource as parameter (Actually to a pageddata ) , on which i create a DataList.
The page is working fine actually but the problem is like the following,</p>
Considering that all dropdown are selected as following :
When i change ddlSubGroup to another one , ddlPageNumbers is populated depending on the number of items divided by 20 ( The datalist is paged by 20 items per time)
then i change the ddlSubGroup(RUBBER PARTS in this example for example to BodyParts , so the dropdown values becomes like :

At this point Body PARTS also has page numbers like 1,2,3,4 etc but, it still remains as 2 , however i need the page number to reset back to 1.
Is there any way to do this , and where should i place the code exactly ( which event ) ?

I think this needs to be a sticky since this is not solved anywhere that I have been looking... I have been googling this for a while now and came across the answer by shear luck and a simple typo when I was writing the code...
Problem: I have 2 dropdown lists...
ddllist1 and ddlist2... Both are code-behind populated via a sql DB.
they are cascading lists via the ajax control.
I am trying to dynamically populate them with values from a DB for edit reasons.
When I try to get them populated I kept getting the error...
"dropdownlist has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items"
Solution:
1) get the values from the DB or from where ever...
2) create a sql select to get the values from the ddl db
3) set the ID of the first DDL control to cddcontrol1.SelectedValue = id (this is a number)
4) set the value of the DDL to the string value ddlist2.SelectedValue = value (this is a string)

I have a repeater with a DropDownList in it. I set the datasource of this list in the itembound event en set the selectedindex. When I debug the selectedindex is set, but when the page is done loading for all the item the default item is selected.

I want to reset all the value when I am changing the tab.
In my case I have two tab. I want when I change the tab then the all previous tab value should be cleared. For refference I have tried with activetabchnged in .cs page but when I am changing the tab its not encountered.
In every page I have four cascaded dropdown.

Suppose parent dropdown is car (Values are car1, car2, car3)and its child is color(for car1 R Y G B, For car2 R Yand for car3 G B).Now on selection of car2 R and Y will appear and select R, then again made the change on car and select car3 then again select is comiing with G and B and select B.
Now if I select again in car, car1 then the child is populating with the values of car1 but it takes the B as a default value as it was previously selected and also present for car1 too.This case is only happen. on select of child value which is availble for both parent selection.

I am using Cascading Dropdown nad would be populating the values of the second dropdown from the session thats created when the page load.With the initial page load, the cascading dropdown works fine. But when I change the selection for the first one, the session values are not retained.

I am new to Ajax Control Toolkit, with the help of online tutorials I had created a cascading dropdown list in asp.net and tested it on my local machine. For this dropdown list data source would be an xml file (which is saved on my local machine c drive). I haven't encountered any issues until I deploy the precompiled web site on to IIS 7. When I open the web site from IIS I would see the two dropdown boxes on the web page with an error "Method error 500". I believe this error occured due to incorrect xml file
path provided on IIS. I had copied xml and xsd files into IIS server C drive but it did not help out and then I created a network map and placed the xml and xsd files in that shared folder tried to access that path from web service, it's working on local machine but not on IIS. It would be great, if any one could explain me the solution.

I want to populate the cascading Dropdown values without Promttext.
Scenario is .If a single value is retrived from the database then I think no need to populate the promt text. It may populate only that value and call the next function from the inside of it. Can it be possible using web methods.

I have 3 cascading dropdowns in a user control. I am trying to clear off the values of the dropdowns on the click of the clear or cancel button on the page. I am setting the value as selected index as 0 but the last dropdown never gets disabled. How do i achieve that. Is there a way that i can set only the first dropdown and the rest of the dropdowns get disabled.
