AJAX :: HTML Editor Custom Popup Button Text Is Not Visible?
Aug 8, 2010
I want to customize Ajax HTML Editor's insert link function so I derived a custom button from OkCancelPopupButton and related popup from OkCancelAttachedTemplatePopup, but the button texts don't appear. See picture below (CÃm: URL, MegjelenÅ‘ szöveg: Display text).
I have an Editor control on my page and the user can go in use it hit save and that all works.
In another part of the page I have a simple dropdown to select a note and view it. When you push view it loads the text which was entered in via the editor control.
If the user used an order or unordered list. The text shows up but not the list part.
So if they did this:
Example ThisAnd this
What is displaying is
Example This And This
Without the bullets. Same for the numbers.
I have it going to a literal control which should render the html, but it doesn't.
I am using Ajax Toolkit's Html Editor in my application. When I select a text and convert it to a url by giving a link in the url popup, the url popup takes only a maximum of 255 characters. Whereas a URL can actually be upto 2048 characters. I would like to know if there is any way of changing the maxlength of the url popup.
I've got a custom class for the HTML Editor which adds specific buttons, however I can't figure out how to add specific font names and sizes to the FONTS and FONT SIZE boxes using the code below. I've figured out that simply adding the drop downs for the FONTS and FONT SIZES isn't enough. Once they're added, the specific have to be added.
YES, I have tried adding them using the FONTS and FONTSIZES properties in the HTML markup but after extensive research have determined that it can only be done via code.
I am trying to write a customized Ajax HTML editor control and since noone knows how to resolve the problems I am having with including my source file SimpleEditor.cs inside my asp.net web application (refer to thread: [URL] I would like to know if I can compile the custom control into a .dll file and then somehow try using that inside my project. To start with I am creating a very simple editor with very little changes. Once I get it to work then I can move forward with putting in the rest of the customization. By the way in case anyone is interested I am trying to accomplish two things with my custom editor.
1 I want to reduce the buttons to just a few basic buttons.
2. I want to add a custom button to allow the user to insert a picture.
Below is the code I have in my SimpleEditor.cs file:
How do you capture the text that is typed in an AJAX HTML editor that includes all of the formatting of the text so the text could be printed out exactly has it was put in.Example: Capture the text along with all the markup and store it in a database so it could be output again with all the formatting. This website does that, people put it in and then somehow it's displayed later.
I'm working with the AJax HTML Editor control and was wondering how to set the default text size. Out of the box it is set to default (10pt) I would like to set that to 12pt.
how to style/position the pop up that appears when the 'new link' button is clicked. the pop up at the moment is showing at the far right of the screen - nowhere near the editor.
A previous post mentioned that this was a problem with a div with the style of position:relative - I do not have this, so this is not causing the problem.
i need to create a html editor for use to every page to update the web page content. By right, the html editor only can seen by administrator. So , i should create a custom web part/user control to update different table of database or create a custom editor zone better? how can we do it just like the share point html editor web part?
I'm also trying to implement a custom button on the toolbar, and have it working, sort of. I took the sample code and modified it so I only insert one button, to insert an image from a list in a database. I renamed the class from the original to CustomHTMLEditor and removed a few of the properties and methods I won't be needing. All this works 99%. The control is shown in the design and in my web page and the inserting of the image all works 100%, but there is an error in the designer : Unknown server tag 'customEditors:CustomHTMLEditor'.
Because of this, I cannot reference the control in code at all and thus not get the Content when the page is posted back.
I am using ajax html editor to write a text. I can view it without having problem but I am incapeble of storing it in a Ms Access database. which type do I need to use for this? I tried memo and OleObject type and both didn't work. I used the blow code for that.
I want to authenticate a user using model popup extender. So I wrote a program to do this. Everything OK when user enter the correct details. But user enters the wrong detail, it should shows in a lablel in a popup panel. It shows; but the problem is it close the popup . But I want to keep the popup if the user enters the wrong details. How can I do this?
As the subject may be a bit vauge as i found it hard summing up what i was after when searching on google here is an example of what i mean:
