As most posts recommend, I have tried a hmt embed objects that can display a Flash swf splash logo. But it shows a "Video cannot be downloaded" message.
Is there a clean, plain ASP.NET AJAX control to display a Flash swf splash logo without that irksome message?
I have set up a number of sub domains and when for example, a user enters their sub domain x.example.co.uk I want their avatar / logo to load. So in essence, the code will detect the sub domain url and load their logo. I want this to work for muiltiple sub domains. It doesn't appear to be too complex, however I have no clue as to what code would be required to get this in place. I am assuming it would call on the css...
i am doing a project in asp.net...i want to retrieve image and logo from database and then pass image and logo as argument in a function but the problem is in retreiving the image from database[i.e the retreived image from db should be in image data-type]...
I'm running into an issue which has me going in circles with the references I've been able to find online. I have an application which is using client certificate authentication (with a removable token). It works well as long as a user doesn't leave their computer. If the token is pulled and any timer events fire on the page causing a postback the application loses its authentication and ends up at an error page.
I've seen some sites which use a mix of (presumably) forms authentication and windows authentication so that the network authentication only has to happen one time and then a token is built which the session relies on for future requests. I had hoped to use something similar to this so that when a new user enters the application they are redirected to a secure page which will request the client certificate (same principal as windows authentication) and then create the token before sending the user back to their requested page. So far no luck with this.
If I try to setup a subfolder in my website with a different authenication scheme from the root ("windows" vs "forms") I'm given an error in Visual Studio about requiring a separate application in IIS for this to be valid. Working in a development environment this is not practical. Every other technique I've run across which tries to force one page (or folder) to use a windows credential is leaving me with an empty identity object.
Has anyone come up with a way of using a mix of authentication methods to reach the goal I have and still work inside of Visual Studio for development activities?

I am making a menu to display departments and sub departments. Each department has a corresponding pop-up menu to display the sub departments. The menu is built dynamically with values from the database. I'm using nested repeaters and the AJAX HoverMenuExtender. The problem is that when the page loads or is refreshed all of the sub departments are visible for a second or so underneath their respective subdepartments. In other words, for just a second the page is rendered as if the HoverMenuExtender was not there.

Modal Popup user control (its a message box) on top of a modal popup with javascript that maintains postback on a scrollable div all inside of an update panel causes my page to flash on postback of the user control. If any one of the peices (user control, modal popup, javascript) are missing everything works fine. The javascript is maintaing scrollback on a scrollable listview on the page. A modalpopup is shown on top of this main page that is for report parameters. The user control is used for validation and is displayed if a parameter is invalid. I know this may not be the best design, but it can't really change unless its a minor change. Heres the js if anyone wants to see popup or styles let me know.
//Begin methods to maintain or reset scroll position during postback. var controlIds = []; var scrollTops = []; //Register a control to maintain its scroll position on postbacks. function MaintainPostback(controlId) { controlIds.push(controlId); } //Find the div/control id in the controlIds array and set its scroll position to 0. function ResetControlScrollTop(controlId) { var index = 0; while (index < controlIds.length) { if (controlId == controlIds[index]) { scrollTops[index] = 0; return; } index++; } }............
