I was looking to update my AJAX Control toolkit. Currently I have version 3.0.30930.0[URL]But now I am in two minds to do the upgrade after looking at some of the reviews on the page.Under notes it says- Pages using controls from AJAX Control Tookit .NET 3.5 must use the ToolkitScriptManager, rather than the ASP.NET ScriptManager.
1. Is it a big change to change my project to use ToolkitScriptManager?2. Does this imply only to AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 3.5 only? Please guide me with your ideas about this update. We do not want to run into even bigger problems by updating to a newer version.
the reason i posted this question is that i just added ajax toolkit in my visual studio 2005 and i installed ajax web extension version 1; downloaded from microsoft website named "ASPAJAXExtSetup" but when i added ajax object in my web form i ve gotten this error: "Error 1: Indirect reference is being made to assembly System.Web.Extensions version 220.127.116.11, which contains 'AjaxControlToolkit.CalendarExtender'. This Project references a prior version of System.Web.Extensions version 1.0.61025.0. To use 'AjaxControlToolkit.CalendarExtender', you must replace the reference to System.Web.Extensions with version 18.104.22.168 or higher. C:inetpubwwwrootAJAXEnabledWebSite1Default.aspx 1 1 C:...AJAXEnabledWebSite1"
is there any option to upgrade ajax web extension version 1 to upper without installing visual studio 2008 and .net 3.5? or any other solution?
There's great documentation on how to install the Ajax ToolKit using a new project, but I can't find documentation to upgrade an existing project that uses an old version of the toolkit to a new version of the Ajax toolkit.
Here's what I did: 1.) Deleted folders (ar - zh-CHT) from the bin directory 2.) Deleted AjaxControlToolKit.dll & AjaxControlToolKit.pdb from the bin directory 3.) Removed the Ajax Control Toolkit from my tool bar in VS 4.) Deleted the reference to AjaxControlToolKit in my project references 5.) Copied files from AjaxControlToolKitWebFormsRelease into my bin folder in my project 6.) Added references to the new AjaxControlToolKit and System.Web.Ajax dlls (from my project's bin folder). 7.) Added the Ajax Library to my Toolbar in Visual Studio (2008) 8.) Replaced my script managers with the new one from the Ajax Library toolbar 9.) Updated my Web.config file with the new bindingRedirect:
I can't update panels to work after upgrading Ajax from an early version to the latest version at http://www.asp.net/ajax/downloads/.
I tried removing the AJAX extensions from Visual studio completely and reinstalling everything from the new version but now I seem to only have the Ajax toolkit and ONE Ajax extension, the scriptmanager. Update panels are no where to be found now.
I have a solution I'm working on in VS2010 Professional, using ASP.NET 4.0 with the AJAX Toolkit. This has been working fine, but when I started it up today, I got the runtime exception shown above. This exception occurs on any page with a control from the toolkit.Sometimes when I load a page, I get an exception "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Windows, Version=22.214.171.124, Culture=neutral, ublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." If I then reload the page (without making any changes), I then get the exception shown in the subject line.I tried dragging an AJAX Toolkit control from the toolbox onto a page, and then deleting it, and that worked - once. The next time I tried the page (or any other), I got the exception again. Dragging a control out didn't help this time.
I am Getting the following error using the Numeric UpDown Control from Ajax Control Toolkit. Assembly 'AjaxControlToolkit, Version=3.0.30512.20315, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=28f01b0e84b6d53e' contains a Web resource with name 'AjaxControlToolkit.NumericUpDown.NumericUpDownBehavior.debug.js', but does not contain an embedded resource with name 'AjaxControlToolkit.NumericUpDown.NumericUpDownBehavior.debug.js'.
I am tring to use Jquery autocomplete into my asp.net 2.0 application, I have all necessary file in place, I tried to worked on , but it seems like this is not working, can some one tell me that is asp.net 2.0 application without using AJAX toolkit works with Jquery autocomplete or it does not work?Note: this is plain asp.net 2.0 web application, it is not using AJAX.
Can I use the latest AJAX Control Toolkit on a .net 2.0 project which will be deployed to a server with framework 2.0 only? If not, where can I download the latest AJAX Control Toolkit for framework 2.0?
At present we are using <ajax:TabContainer> to load tabs. I have 5 user controls inside <ajax:TabPanel>.
The problem is that all the data on these 5 pages gets loaded at once and increases the loading time as well as it is very hard to debug. Can we do lazy loading uisng TabContainer control? so that only the data of the current tab is loaded and when we click on the other tab then that's control data gets loaded.
I am trying to use tab control with Ajax toolkit. I want to use my master page which is plain page and I want to show the tab function of gridview. I want to give the tab control only the gridview page partically on master page. If it is possible, I am going to put other gridview at this page. That means tab control ONLY gridview. Is it possible?
I used vs 2005 for development and i download ajax for develop some website . My problem is now i planed to shift vs 2008 . So am i want to download ajax tool kit for develop ajax enabled website. If yes please let me know the url for down load ajax for vs 2008 .
I have just started working with ASP.NET 3.5 and am very far into a big application which used the Tab Container control as well as other Ajax controls. I need to use the AsynchFileUpload control so I downloaded and installed the AJAX Toolkit version 3.0.30930.0. I created a new project and imported all pages but now when I run the applicationion debugging no longer works correctly. Also when I look at the BIN folder in the Solution Explorer instead of the just the AjaxCOntrolTooolkit.dll and AjaxControlToolkit.pdb there are 16 other folders named ar, cs, de, es, etc... and inside each of these is a AjaxControlTooolkit.resources.dll. I'm not sure if I messed up when I loaded the new toolkit or if I'm just missing something. Any help would be very helpful. I've read through a lot of pages and no one else seems to be having this problem. In a nutshell I need to know exaclty how to install the most recent toolkit to Visual Studio 2008 and still have what was working in my app still work and be able to add the new control.
I've got an issue where I'm unable to view Ajax controls within the Visual Studio toolbox section What makes this issue even more bizzare is that I'm able to view the controls of the .dll (AjaxControlToolkit.dll) in a test website. I can see Visual Studio iterate through the controls and add them to the tab in one project and absolutely nothing in the other. I've already checked to see if another tab has my controls and done multiple Toolbox resets. Obviously, I need consistency with this and for me to be able to easily add controls to my target website...Does anyone know why one VS2008 project displays controls correctly in one place but not in another project?
using Editor control of ajax toolkit control is uneditable.I know its reason but do not know how to solve that.In the top of the html page we have this text
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
written whenever we open a aspx page. But due to some reason i do not have to use that text, so i have deleted that. That's why my editor is uneditable. When i take those text that editor is editable. So, how that editor can be editable without taking those text ?
Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'undefined' is null or not an object
And it worked fine with the ajaxcontroltoolkit 3.01.Now on 3.5 i gives problems.Ok this is a reported bug so the solution(supposedly) is this:http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/workitem/26785. how do i compile the project.try to run the AjaxControlToolkit.VS2008.sln and errors pop out form everywhere.
I did not think the first post went through. I followed the instructions and created the new tab, located the dll file and thought I was adding the controls. Instead, the new tab disapeared. When I try to add it again, I get the message: "The Tab "Ajax ToolKit" already exists" but it if it does exist, it is not visible.
I 'm learning ajax and have created some pages and practiced using the ajax controls. I'm using visual studio 2007 on a windows xp machine with .net 3.5 . The site I'm practicing with is the ajax sample web site that I've downloaded. I'm just adding pages to this site as practice. Using a tag prefix of ajaxToolkit
I'm newbie. I'm from VietNamese.I have a little problem with my project.I used HoverMenu control to display Popup (dynamic data) when mouse over. The result be good. using ASP.NET and AJAX for a couple of years now, but have never used the SEO Toolkit that MS has produced until today.I ran this tool on a site that we have setup for our local scout group [URL] and have got over 40 errors thrown up with the error of: "The page contains multiple canonical formats."
This is happening because somewhere the crawlers are picking up a link to pages with the following (or similar) Querystrings appended to them: ?_TSM_HiddenField_=ctl00_scrAll_HiddenField&_TSM_CombinedScripts_=%3b%3bAjaxControlToolkit%2c+Version%3d3.5.40412.0%2c+Culture%3dneutral%2c+PublicKeyToken%3d28f01b0e84b6d53e%3aen-US%3a1547e793-5b7e-48fe-8490-03a375b13a33%3ade1feab2%3af9cec9bc%3aa67c2700%3af2c8e708%3a8613aea7%3a3202a5a2%3aab09e3fe%3a87104b7c%3abe6fb298
Now this is really baffling me, as I can see this url in a script block added as an SRC by the AJAX framework, but not a link itself (an A href).I am using .NET 3.5, with Masterpages. I have tried removing the Toolkit script manager from my masterpage, but I still get the canonical problem. I have also tried setting the canonical html link tag to every page, but I still get the same problem.Has anyone else seen or experienced this themselves with AJAX enabled pages?
We have an application that is already deployed in the production environment. And currently it is using Dundas evaluation version. We tried updating it to the licensed version by simply pasting the dll file. but we got the error message as "The file has not been pre-compiled and cannot be requested".
how can i update a visual studio 2008 build in version 9.0.2 to version 9.0.3? i want to update my visual studio pro so that i can install silverlight 2. because when i install silverlight 2 it requires version 9.0.3.
I have 2005 installed. I want to add AJAX EXTENSIONS to it. How to do that from where i can donwload AJAX TOOLKIT FOR 2.0 framework. Tell me one thing more, Extensions that will be installed by AJAX TOOLKIT are same as that are provided in VS 2008?
I'm getting started with ASP.NET AJAX, the first thing is that I can't what the different available versions of AJAX are and what is the relationship between them. In one hand... we have the server side controls (UpdatePanel, UpdateProgress, Timer, and so on). Bi the other hand... there is suposed to be a client library, based on MicrosoftAjax.js, MicrosoftAjaxWebForms.js and MicrosoftAjaxTimer.js. I'm reading this book from 2009, and it talks about those libraries, but I don't know where to download them. Finally... it appears to be an AJAX Cotrol Toolkit, that seems to be a collection of AJAX controls. ┐Wich of those libraries (no beta versions please) should I use to develop AJAX on the client side with microsoft ASP.NET technologies?
