I use the tabpanel and place it in a usercontrol. but the text in the tab header are cut off when opened in IE6 and IE7. in mozilla this is working properly. i am loading this usercontrol in a webpart so i can add it in any page in my site.

i have a javascript color picker i can get it working fine in a aspx page, but i am unable to get it working in a usercontrol inside a update panel. I have tried using the following but i still cannot get it to workm the js file can be viewed at [URL]

I am having trouble wiht my AJAX collapsible Panel Extender. I have the CPE opening a panel that contains the Table of Contents of a document being displayed on the page. A user clicks on the link for a certain part of the document, the event triggers a C# function that gets the file that particular section is contained in an displays the section. Right now you have to, of course, click on the TitlePanel to open and to close the CPE. What I want to do is have it close automatically whenever a link inside the content panel has been clicked. I have tried placing this.cpeTOC.Collapsed=true; in the functiion that gets the files but it does not work. I have also tried the autocollapse property of the CPE and it just collapses whenever someone moves thier mouse from the titlepanel.

Using ASP.NET 3.5 / C#. Have a page with a UpdatePanel, and a UserControl inside the UpdatePanel. When calling ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(this, typeof(UpdatePanel), Guid.NewGuid().ToString(), script, false); the script appears to fire (have tried it with a JS alert), but the resulting script also disappears immediately afterword. I am trying to create a JS function via the script, and it is not in the Page Source after the Page is rendered. i have tried many variationsRegisterClientScriptBlock with no luck.
View 8 RepliesI've a ASP.Net page (Default.aspx) which will load UserControl (ucontrol.ascx) dynamically into an UpdatePanel. By using UpdatePanel, we believe we're able to prevent the entire page to be posted-back.
My problem is, within the UserControl, we have some form controls, such as inputs and buttons; after the UserControl is loaded, clicking on any button inside the UserControl will cause the UpdatePanel to be blanked. During the investigation, I found that, breakpoints within the Button1_Click() in the code-behind for the UserControl is never reached. Please reference to the code below, this references to [REFERENCE]1.

but only first value of dropdownlist is going into database when i selects other values and click on the button it is still inserting the first value of the dropdownlist

Basically it exports the gridview data to excel, but it shows an error. it said that the error occurs when the website uses the "Response" inside the Updatepanel.is there an alternative to "Response" method.

View 1 RepliesI have a TabContainer with multiple Tabs. For some of the Tab's Button OnClick events work and on others they do not. I have dropdowns etc in each of these tabs and their SelectedIndex events fire. Just some of the button events don't fire. If I move the HTML and codebehind to a blank page for any of the Panels that don't work, the buttons work as expected.

I know that if you want to use a fileupload control inside an AJAX update panel then you need to create a trigger for the control that performs the uploading postback to the updatepanel, but the problem is, I have an update panel that contains web usercontrols. I therefore can't add a trigger to the control(FileUpload) directly because it exists in the web control.

I set the width of the grid view to less than the width of the tab container, but the gridview is not inside the tab panel. It goes outside the tab panel lines. How do I keep it inside the tab panel and have the horizontal and vertical scrolls bars for when it is larger than the tab panel?

i have an issue running JavaScript inside an updatepanel,
i'm using a script as follows:

and each time the update panel updates i load a new variables for the FlashFileName to display a different movie.
outside an update panel this works, but inside the script doesn't run, i have read on other posts that there is an issue with running javascript inside an updatepanel.
here's the thing, i have an update panel with 3 panels inside... The page start with the first panel visible, the rest not visible. I have an script inse of my panel that shows some RSS, when started, it works.
On event click of one button, the second panel gets visible, the rest not visible...simulating a tab panel. but! i have an script inside my second panel just like the first one, and it seems that they dont execute when the event happens. in fact! i click on the button to show the first panel and doesn't appear the rss...

I have two usercontrols in my aspx page and in my first usercontrol i have gridview with button inside update panel and if i press the button it should pass the value to second userconrol and based on the value i will do some db operation to bind the controls in second usercontrol.
I am wondering is it possible to achieve using AJAX? I need to do this with partial postback without posting entire content of the page.
