My aspx page contains "OnRowDataBound="GridView1_RowDataBound"" call, which I'm trying to call when I move my mouseover a databound row. Thus changing the background colour of the row.
When I move my mouse over the row it seems to bypass the OnRowDataBound call and proceed directly to the "mouseover" function which proceeds to error as the "(row.style.background == row.basecolor)" is undefined.
This has previously worked under older versions of AJAX and DOTNET. I've upgraded to DOTNET v4 with appropriate AJAX dll's.

I have two Repeater controls, each hosted in a user control. Both user controls are contained in the same aspx page. Only one User Control is visible at any one time. The repeaters are comprised of checkboxes, and text boxes for user input.
The aspx page is configured with an Ajax ScriptManager; and contains several Ajax UpdatePanels. These UpdatePanels result in partial page post backs when text is changed in a textbox control in controls on the aspx page (this is not the behaviour for the Repeaters in the User Controls). Through use of several AsyncPostBackTriggers, various controls contained in the other UpdatePanels on the page have their content refreshed in response to the partial page post backs they are configured be notified about.
Depending on a radio button group selection, I set the visible property to true or false - as appropriate for the User control containing a repeater control. The Repeater control is then populated with data using databinding. All of this works.
However, when the Submit button is clicked, the Repeater control contains no data.
Given that I am not dynamically adding the Controls containing the Repeater controls (but using Visible true / false). I would have thought that the State of the fields and the data in the visible control would be preserved during the post back.
The User Controls are contained within the UpdatePanel that contains the Submit Button.
I have explicitly Enabled View state without any effect.
Am I correct in assuming that I should not have to do any explicit handling of data changes the user makes (via client side script and manipulation of an Data Structure Representing the Repeater Data); and the View State should maintain the data I need to access on the server when submitted?
I do not believe that it is the User Control visible state changes that are causing the issue because when the page is initially loaded on of the User controls is populated with dummy rows (so it displays).
I am suspicious that because the visible state of the controls is changed during partial page post back, that the Page View State ends up with no knowledge of the User Control and therefore cannot track its data (or changes).

We upgraded our project to 4.0 yesterday and did a live release. Unfortunately for some reason on one of our pages the tab container does not display anymore. I've set a breakpoint at the end of code execution and the .Visible property of the container is True, but the generated HTML has a CSS tag set to make it invisible:
<div class="ajax__tab_xp" id="ctl00_PageBody_tbcTabs"
style="visibility:hidden;">
If I use the IE8 development tools to remove the style property then everything displays correctly. why the container is set to be invisible even though the code behind is setting it to visible?

An Ajax Toolkit SlideShow used to work in .NET 2.0. After being upgraded to 3.5 the same slideshow stops working as before. It always pops up "Object reference not set to an instance of an object.". Different rewrites cause different errors at embedded Jscript level that cannot be fixed. I have added the AjaxToolkit.dll 3.5 under bin folder and placed its items in the VS2008 toolkit.

Each AjaxControlToolkit.dll is keep in folder (ar,es,de,fr ... ) .There is also one AjaxControlToolkit.dll which is not inside any folder.
My question is which AjaxControlToolkit.dll should be used? I need to have all the AjaxControlToolkit.dll inside my bin folder? or I pick it according to my country? What if my web site is multilingual?

I just upgraded a project which was working fine using some ajax control toolkit components. When upgrading the project from VS2008 to VS2010 now I get an error stating that the 'ToolScriptManager is no a known element'...?My ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll is in the bin folder of the website (as it was before) but that doesn't seem to satisfy the VS2010...
The exact error is:
'ToolScriptManager is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the website or the web.config file is missing.
In the build errors I have this error:
Error 17 Method 'get_EnableCdn' in type 'System.Web.UI.ScriptManager' from assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' does not have an implementation. C:ProjectsmedlemsportalumbracoMembersEnrolment.aspx 10
Does anyone know what should be done to resolve this...?

Moved our web application from W2003 & IIS6 to W2008 R2 & IIS7.5 . One of the first things we discovered was to set the Application Pool in "Classic" mode. However we are still not out of the woods. We are having a AjaxControlToolKit error. I have attached a screenshot but in summary, the first line of code referring to the AjaxControlToolKit is flagged in error, Type.registerNamespace('AjaxControlToolkit'); The Debugger throws the error text below: 'Type' is undefined Default.aspx?

I see that I have version 3.0.20229.0 of ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll on a server and on my local machine I have version 3.0.0.20820.0 of ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll in a AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5SP1 directory. So does 3.0.20229.0 correspond to 3.5 pre sp1?
I found the following at http://www.ajaxcontroltoolkit.com/Default.aspx:
This release includes over 10 patch fixes provided by members of the Toolkit community. We would like to specially thank all the patch contributors for their effort which helped make this release possible. We recognize their names on the
Toolkit Patch Hall of Fame.
Setting up the environment to use the Toolkit: This Toolkit release targets two different versions of the .NET Framework:
Version 3.5.20229 for .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008:
Download the AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5.zip or AjaxControlToolkit-Framework3.5-NoSource.zip.
Version 1.0.20229 for ASP.NET AJAX version 1.0 and .NET Framework 2.0:
Download the AjaxControlToolkit.zip or AjaxControlToolkit-NoSource.zip.
Note: Toolkit version 3.5.20229 is only for users who are building on top of .NET Framework 3.5 using Visual Studio 2008. If you are using .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 then you should use
Toolkit version 1.0.20229.
It sounds like the Toolkit version does NOT correspond to the version of ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll.

I have an update panel with content that needs to be updated by a listview item which is a linkbutton, in .NET 3.5 I just used the defaults on all the controls and everything worked fine, after the upgrade to 4.0 the linkbutton causes a full postback with page refresh. I did try setting the linkbutton's id as the trigger for the update panel and still causes same page refresh. The scriptmanager is on the masterpage with enablepartialrendering = true.

I have an ASP.NET AJAX application, which is using .NET Framework 3.5. I have visual Studio 2008 installed on my developer machine. The AjaxControlToolKit dlls I have installed in my system right now come from the file "AspNetAjaxLibraryBeta0911.zip". The released date of the dlls in the file is 12/29/2009. Exploring the AjaxControlToolKit download site, I found that there is a more updated version, which release date was April 12th 2010.
I tried to update the AjaxControlKit.dll version to the newest one. I did this creating a path in my system: c:Program FilesAjaxControlToolKitWebFormsRelease then I placed there the new AjaxControlToolKit.dll and AjaxControlToolKit.pdb files. Then I right clicked on the name of the dll inside my Bin directory in my application and selected "Update Reference". After I did this I tested the application and is giving me Jscript error messages like: "htmlfile: member not found", or Microsoft Jscript Runtime error "lenth is null or not an object". I don't get these error messages if I come back to the previous version of the AjaxControlToolKit.
