I need to be able to only allow certain days to be selected on a calendar extender. I have an application where I need users to run a report. The report has to be for a certain time length (2 weeks, from a sunday like 11/2/2011 to a saturday like 11/15/2011). Is there a way to accomplish this?
am developing an application using asp.net+ajax.i used calender extender control to select date and showing that date in a text box.my requirement is when select date from the previous year (i.e 2009) from the calender extender control...then a message should show like"you should not select the previous year date" and immediately current day date should fill in textbox.
I am using Framework 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 and Visual Studio 2005.I am using 2 Ajax Calendar Extender in my page. I am using a text box and html image control and setting the TargetControlID to the test box id and the PopupButtonID to the image control name. When i click the first image the calendar pops up and without choosing a date if i click the second image the second calendar control opens on top of the first calendar control. Is there any way i can make the previous one disappear without choosing a date leaving the calendar control associated with the last image clicked.
Currently, I am using Calendar control on ASPX page. Instead, I want to use AJAX Calendar Extender control because of the animation effect and the way it moves between years making if much more impressive than Calendar control. Is it possible to display Calendar extender on page permanently, just like Calendar control?
I have found ways to validate selected dates when using the calendar extender, but maybe im not searching correctly.. but here is what i want to do..just wondering if it can be done with the calendar extender control.
i have a field which requires the user to pick a date.. i woudl like to limit the dates that can be selected from.. i mean the whole calendar can display, but if i want them to pick ONLY dates within the last 7 days and 7 days in the future..
Example:Todays date is 11/06/2009 so when they click in the textbox and the calendar opens, the full calendar is displayed.. but the only availble dates to pick from are 10/30, 10/31, 11/1, 11/2, 11/3, 11/4, 11/5, 11/6, 11/7, 11/8, 11/9, 11/10, 11/11, 11/12, 11/13
I dont want to do after they pick a date, i'd like to display their ONLY possible dates.
does anyone know if it is possible to disable some of the dates available for selection. For example, on opening the calendar all the dates before today are grayed out so that it is only possible to select dates in the future. On my site I am using two calendar controls which are representing a start date of an event and an end date. In the end date calendar I would like to disable all dates before the selected start date.Is anything like this possible with the calendar control?e
i have aspx page with textbox and validation controls and button control. form controls has server side validations, when i click a button it has to perform validations. if validations is sucess then only pop Upextender has to display on button click event. but validations controls are firing and as well as popup is showing on the page. I have some aspx pages where I was using a date picker. I changed the date picker with AJAX calendarextender which I can pop by clicking on the associated textbox when I am viewing this page on the server itself. But on the client PC I can't pop the calendar. This textbox and calendarextender are created in a gridview.
I have downloaded the AJAX Toolkit for .Net 3.5 I want to add a calendar popup for a field called Date Finished, I added the ScriptManager from the AJAX Extensions toolbox, and then I went into the source for Edit Mode on my webform, and added in the CalendarExtender. I get no error messages when compiling or running this, but the calendar does not pop up.
i m facing a problem in calendar extendar.....i have used a calendar in the ajax accordian....when i click the heading of accordian, the calendar shows up...but after that wheni clickhe calendar image button , it displays the calendar but it is blurred.....that is the white background is some where elseand the dates some where else..the display of calendar is completely distributed..the other calendar extendar in the same project are working fine..
I'm having problems with the calendar extendar on my textbox popping up when any event fires on the page.I didn't start having this issue until i implemented a second extend (MaskEdit) to my textbox, when i eliminated the (MaskedEdit) the issue still occured. '
I am using Calender Extender on one of my page and it is not working as expected on IE8. The problem i am facing is when i click on calender image calender shows for a fraction of second and goes away. It is really annoying and the same thing is working fine on Firefox and Chrome. Here is the code i am using .....
I use CalendarExtender on page with several form tags. Top form has css style "display: none;" and has not runat="server" attribute. CalendarExtender has been placed in second form, that is visible and has runat="server" attribute. Ajax toolkit try add calendar's container to fist form and does not show this one to user. How i can tell CalendarExtender use form by Id.
I am using the following code to open a calendar when the user clicks on an image button. My problem si that the calendar is displaying at the top of the panel:
The image button is at the bottom. So the calendar is supposed to be visible beside the button and a text box. Instead it displays around 250 px above it. I can see the calendar but not where it should be.The same code works perfect in my local copy but not on my development server. Also, TargetControlID doesnlt seem to work (on both local and server copies). When I click on the text box, nothing happens.
I am using ajax calendar extender to select the dates.I want to disable all the dates less than today. Means the user can't select those previous days ie the dates should be shown in grey color and users can't select it.
I think the calendar extender of the ajax control toolkit is pretty cool. The demos don't have a year navigation, and one can only navigate monthly. In other words, if you wanna pick a date in 2010, you will have to click more than 24 times! That's a lot of work.I peeked into the sample web site's source code and the documentation and could not figure out if year navigation has been made an option with this calendar extender.BTW, I sorta feel that the search functionality of this web site needs to be improved. First of all, it's very slow, 2nd, I searched for "calendar" and nothing returns,
A few posts in the last year or so with folks trying to get the calendar extender to work with year only. I know folks will say, "Hey make a dropdownlist!". not always. in my particular application I am having years that potentially would need to go back 40+ years, and I'd rather not have a dropdown with 40+ values in it. Not to mention in a few years have to update it again.
So building off of http://weblogs.asp.net/aghausman/archive/2009/05/31/how-to-show-and-select-month-year-in-calendar-extender.aspx?CommentPosted=true#commentmessage I am trying to get it to be a Year Only view. Here's my code.
What I am having an issue with is that this code technically works. It works when I have the alert() in there. I take that alert out and it has weird behavior. Selecting the first or last cell in the calendar control without the alert will jump decades. For example I will click 1989 and I'll get 1969 in the texbox with the extender on it. I'm pretty sure I am lost in the loop somewhere or I have a elementary code/logic error. But after spending way too much time messing with this I figured another set of trained eyes might be able to help. This if resolved would be a nice feature to be able to have at the communities finger tips, an ajax year selector.
