I have a user control which has following code to display collapsible multi level menu. i have used datalist control, CollapsiblePanelExtender to do it. but problem is when i click first level or second level menu it dosn't go to the corresponding page. because suppresspostback="true" in both the extender. if i don't do that it gets collapsed for all time. the situation i need to implement is when the menu loads it should be collapsed totally.
when i click the first level menu it will display the corresponding page and expanded to show the next level menu and go on this way. whenever i click another first level menu it will be expanded like the before and all other first level menu will be collapsed. same thing will happen for second level menu also. how can i achievezthis? it is like [URL]. all menu item informations are from database.
No one replied to my earlier request of hot to get MY code to work. So i thought i would ask it a different way. Can HoverMenuExtender be used to create a multilevel navigation menu system for a website? If so how? I have tried several ways to do this and keep running into the same brickwall of when hovering over the Second SubMenu the First SubMenu disapears. I have tried several can Menu systems but all seem to be lacking in versatility or cost WAY too much.
I wanted to introduce paging within a datalist that is contained within the Collapsible Panel Extender.I do not want to change the URL based on the page.
Here is what I have done so far. I have a datalist to show notifications. The datalist is bound to an sqldatasource.
I have tried to use a collapsible panel extender in the datalist to hide or show message, but the designer could not render the datalist because of the collapsible panel control. It gives an error "Unknown server tag asp:CollapsiblePanelExtender"
In classic ASP I would write some logic to get a nice menu on the site, but now with the Menu-control, it's as easy as it gets.. Maybe to easy. I can't quite figure out how I would do this.. I have a multilevel navigation structure (from a database) that I want to put into the Menu-control, but I don't know which approach is the best/easiest way for me..
I'm all into performance, usability and all that.. The only thing I have really decided is that I want to use the Menu-control, I haven't decided what datasource I should use or how to style the individual links my way The data is coming from a database and is not supposed to be changed very often (maybe once or twice every month).. Thought of making an XML-sitemap, but also of making some sort of SQL-hookup.. I'm leaning towards the XML-sitemap because it wouldn't take long to generate the XML every time the navigation changes and that won't happen very often. The next issue is styling, how to do that? I have the neccesary css ready for the individual links, but I'm still unsure of how to get it to the Menu-control.. The css I have looks like below and in its current form is intended just for the anchors
I need to solve a problem with showing some gridviews in a web page. Initially I wanted to have a series of buttons on top of each gridview and have the page loaded with all gridviews set on visible=false and then change to visible=true at the click on the corresponding button. This is though quite boring to do since I have around 50 gridviews and I would need to keep track of each gridview status and preserve that status for each click (postback). I was wondering if having the gridview in a collapsible panel was a better solution, however I'm not sure how I am supposed to add the gridview into that collapsible panel.
Just setup the collapsible panels, there are different fields within the panels that are required. When i submit the page, i get my validation summary, but if the panels are closed, then i cant tell which fields are failing.. so i wou,ld have to open each panel up again to see where i missed something. Is there anyway to have the panels open up if there are any controls that failed validation?
I have 2 collapsible panel. The first panel is expanded by default and second panel is collapsed. When I insert a user control in the first panel (about 650px height) it displays it but the content overflows into second panel header. I have autosize to none and height to 0px in the cssclass.
The content section in panel is not expanding to fit. However if any place any amount of static text it works perfectly. Also when I collapse the first panel the rest of the panel is disappearing when an user control is used. Am I missing something. The same problem when I tried to used ajax accordion
I have four collapsile panels. Now i want there sould be two link buttons expand all and collapse all. Now whenever user will click on expand all, all the collapsible panels should expand at the same time. Similarly, whenever user will click on collapse all, all the panels should be collapsed.

I am using a grid view as a child control inside a grid view and using an collapsible panel extender to show and hide the child grid. Here is my code [Code].... I am getting the following error: Microsoft JScript runtime error: Sys.InvalidOperationException: Two components with the same id 'cpe' can't be added to the application.
I have a page that has 3 nested repeaters. For the first two repeaters, the repeater's ItemDataBound event binds the next lower repeater. This works fine for the data that I have, but causes a large amount of data to load all at once on Page_Load. Is it possible to use collapsible panels with nested repeaters in such a way that the data only loads when the user clicks a particular linkbutton?
I've implemented a Collapsible Panel that works great, except that if it is collapsed, it expands on postback. How can I get it to maintain state (collapsed if client collapsed, expanded if client expanded)?
I am using the above code to open the collasible panel. But its working in IE only. Not working in mozilla. But I can get the collapsible panel id in both the browsers by alert(newcpe);
I just tried a simple page with a collapsible panel extender, following the tutorial video at asp.net/ajax/videos. When clicking on the header panel, nothing happens. I have gone through countless posts looking for the answer, I have not found a solution. When viewing the page using IE, it shows a page error: Object expected. The cpe does not work in any browser; it does not work on my local machine or production server. As far as I know, the Ajax Control Toolkit was installed correctly; the .dll is in the bin folder. see this link for the page in question: [URL] Below is the code for the page:

I want to add some information, like an adress, in the header of an collapsible panel. I want to add a link to google maps to it in the header. But if i click on the Link, the panel collapses/expands but the click on the link will be ignored. I guess the click on the panel overrides the link :/
I have a formview in one of my pages and I need to use a collapsible panel extender for the FormView fields so as to get better navigation , classification of the fields. How can I achieve this.
trying to have a collapsible panel extender for each row inside a repeater but I am not sure how to do it correctly.I am binding my repeater control to a dataset which has name,e-mail,phone numbers returned as columns and I am trying to make name as a link button so that whenever it is clicked some details are shown and when it is clicked again the details are hidden.At the moment,I am putting all the details in a label which is inside a panel and I want to display this label whenever the link button is clicked.However,the label text is being displayed all the times.
i'm getting the problem about Collapsible Panel.It collapsed by itself during postback(it have a timer and trigger to automatic refresh my page).I 've been read many articles.Someone said it should fix by set Suspressposback property or using cookie to keep to state of Collapsible Panel.I 've already try both of it but it didn't work for me cause i could not get Collapsible Panel object and set set_Collapsed property as i've done the below code before :
UCcpe3 = $find("cpePortfolio"); if (!UCcpe) return; if (GetCookie("Collapsed")) UCcpe.set_Collapsed(true); //Collapse the CPE
cause i have put it inside the panel in the inner listview like the example code below.
