I have dynamic ajax tab container that has several tabpanels.in one of the tabpanel I want to load a JQGrid as user control. but it does not load in my tab panel.
here is my create and load user control in tab panel :
I have 2 nested datalist that one of them is menudatalist and the other is submenu datalist. whenever I click on my submenu items a dynamic user control should load in dynamic tab. my problem is : one of my usercontrols that is JQGRID does not load in tab and when I click on that submenu Item an empty tab is created,however other user controls are loaded in tabs correctly.
I have built a "portal" that displays "widgets" (server side usercontrols). The page contains two columns, each containing an updatepanel. Each widget contains an updatepanel and multiview with the default view showing a "loading" message and the second view contains the actual content.
When a user logs in, I query the database to get a list of widgets the user has access to, along with their column and order number. During page init, I add all of the widgets to the page's columns in the order indicated. Once the page loads, a timer on each widget gets fired and the widget's multiview switches from the "loading" view to the content view and sets the content's visibility to true. This forces the content to load.
Setting up the load this way makes the page load appear faster because it doesn't process any of the widget data until after the initial page load. This all works fine but I have an issue with the order in which the widgets get loaded.
Currently, the page loads and the widgets will start loading from the top of the left column down to the bottom, then it will start loading the top of the right column. The page could potentially have many widgets so I end up staring at a bunch of loading messages on the right side while I wait for the full left column to load. I would really like to be able to load top down across both columns instead of the whole left column and then the right column. For example, load the first widget in the left column, then the first in the right, and so on. This way, the user would have something to look at the top instead of staring at a bunch of loading messages and having to scroll down the page while it loads.
I was doing the MusicStore Tutorial, I finished it and now I am trying to improve the tables with the jqgrid, that seems to be great. I found the
Phil Haack blog's post about how to use it.
[URKL]
But I couldn't do a mix of this, I tried to make the storemanager page with the grid of jqgrid instead of the simple table, but doesn't work. This is what I did:
I am using Jqgrid 3.6 beta version with asp.net and i wanna add dynamic context menu on row selection.When ever user rightclick a row in jqgrid he wants to see some menu like file,edit and other menus. I have completed using single page i.e. both the jqgrid and its parent(JS files) are in single page . But in my main Application I have one master page in which ill define all the JS and seperate page for the content(Jqgrid). So what happens is the same code which is running in single page application is not working in the master detail page.
we are creating a custom content management and out portal page is bit bulky it is about 60Kb without images.
and during loading the page in some browser we can see some parts of site load faster than the other parts of the site where as we want to indicate (or instruct the web server) to load some of the areas first then load rest of the page.
is there any particular setting in IIS for is there any particular method in classic asp for doing that? also I have the same question in asp.net.
I am new to jqGrid and I have found it difficult to follow the documentation jqGrid Documentation / I cannot figure out how to call a WebMethod when setting up the JQGrid. I have been successful in making an Ajax call to get the data and then setting up the JQGrid with local data. I think its an extra step in the setup process and that I should be able to provide the path to the webmethod using the url property. The editurl property is the same way. I am never actually receiving the post to the server. Attempted JQGrid Setup
function GetData() { $('#list').jqGrid({ type: "POST", url: "Default.aspx/GetUsersJSON", datatype: "json", height: 250, colName: ['Username', 'Email'], colModel: [ ... }).jqGrid( 'navGrid', '#pager', { edit: true, add: true, del: true }); } WebMethod [WebMethod] public static string GetUsersJSON() { var users = new List(); using(UserAdministrationSandboxDataContext uasd = new UserAdministrationSandboxDataContext()) { users = uasd.GetUserList(); } JavaScriptSerializer serializer = new JavaScriptSerializer(); return serializer.Serialize(users); }
Current Code I got it working correctly now, but I still have one final question. Why did I have to set the 'repeatitems: false' in order to display the content? Some of the caveats to get this to work include the different ways to setup the ajax request. (Ajax: type) is (jqgrid : mtype) (Ajax: contentType) is (jqgrid : ajaxGridOptions: { contentType: })
And finally understanding the documentation from the documentation on how to setup the JSONReader.
function GetUserDataFromServer() { $('#list').jqGrid({ url: "Default.aspx/GetUsersJSON", mtype: 'POST', ajaxGridOptions: { contentType: "application/json" }, datatype: "json", serializeGridData: function (postData) { return JSON.stringify(postData); }, jsonReader: { root: function (obj) { return obj.d; }, page: function (obj) { return 1; }, total: function (obj) { return 1; }, records: function (obj) { return obj.d.length; }, id:'0', cell:'', repeatitems: false }, datatype: "json", height: 250, colName: ['Username', 'Email'], colModel: [ { name: 'Username', index: 'Username', width: 100, editable: true }, { name: 'Email', index: 'Email', width: 220, editable: true }, { name: 'IsLockedOut', index: 'IsLockedOut', width: 100, editable: true, edittype: 'checkbox' } ], caption: "Users" }) } Web Method [WebMethod] [ScriptMethod(ResponseFormat = ResponseFormat.Json)] public static List GetUsersJSON() { using (UserAdministrationSandboxDataContext uasd = new UserAdministrationSandboxDataContext()) { return uasd.GetUserList(); } } One JSON Object from the List {"__type":"UserAdministrationSandbox.UserData","PKID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001","Username":"TestUser","ApplicationName":"Test","Email":"TestUser@test.com","Comment":"TestUser","Password":"D41D8CD98F00B204E9800998ECF8427E","PasswordQuestion":"Is this a blank Password?","PasswordAnswer":null,"IsApproved":true,"LastActivityDate":"/Date(1298869200000)/","LastLoginDate":"/Date(1298869200000)/","LastPasswordChangedDate":"/Date(1298869200000)/","CreationDate":"/Date(1298869200000)/","IsOnLine":false,"IsLockedOut":false,"LastLockedOutDate":"/Date(1298869200000)/","FailedPasswordAttemptCount":0,"FailedPasswordAttemptWindowStart":null,"FailedPasswordAnswerAttemptCount":null,"FailedPasswordAnswerAttemptWindowStart":null}

I'm developing my first Facebook application in ASP.NET 2.0 and doing a simplest thing, that is, to show a navigation on top with four hyperlinks where each link targets to another .aspx page. How can I do this using FBML in ASP.NET 2.0?
Otherwise coming to my question, where I'm struck after trying above thing at myself and failed then had to go around the Ajax way of doing this. Now I'm using Ajax call over the onclick event of each hyperlink from top navigation and it's succesfully loading external .aspx pages (for example,[URL]. The problem is when user comes on the application on first time, it only shows the .aspx page which has a navigation and a Ajax content place holder which is programmed to be filled with contents on click event.
How to load Ajax contents into the Ajax content place holder on page load without a click event?
in my aspx page i have some controls loadded dynamic and other one loaded static, when i am loading the user control dynamically,the dynamic usercontrols loaded successfully, but all static control inside page will be removed! i load the user control using the bellow code inside PlaceHolder. this is my code in aspx page:
I have an existing application of 20 equal user controls. Each user control contains a complex calculation. I have 2 lines visible as a start and when activating line 2 then line 3 becomes visible, when line 3 is activated line 4 is visible and so on. However this results in a very slow application! So instead I would like to dynamically load the user controls one by one. So my question is: How do I load the user controls to the website by raising an event? My existing code in html is:
instead I would only have the first to user controls visible and loaded and the loading the user controls as I need them for improving the performance of the application and thereby I will not be limited by only 20 user controls in the application. add example codes
I have set up a number of sub domains and when for example, a user enters their sub domain x.example.co.uk I want their avatar / logo to load. So in essence, the code will detect the sub domain url and load their logo. I want this to work for muiltiple sub domains. It doesn't appear to be too complex, however I have no clue as to what code would be required to get this in place. I am assuming it would call on the css...
i'm developing a web application in that i used a web form that contains two dropdown lists called ddlCategory and ddlProduct, depends on the first dropdownlist selected value the second dropdown list fetches datas from database using cache, in my application first ddl works perfectly but when i choose different value in ddl2 it doesn't change the code in my aspx page
[Code]....

I have dynamic button in tab panel. I want to load a usercontrol through this button in tab panel. but it does not work!!! would some body please tell me why is that happen? I also debug my code and it works correctlly but user control does not load in tab panel.
I've been assigned a task to get a site ready for migration over to a load balanced architecture. It will have 4 active servers and 2 static, where the active ones will contain the main site, with the static ones containing images, text files etc..My question is, what is the best way to deal with the image paths in this situation?e.g. one one server the image will be something like : 'serverONE/images/image.jpg' but this need the ability to change to 'serverTWO/images/image.jpg'
I'm working with dynamic fields in ASP.NET due to a very specifc and rigid end-user requirement that would take 2 hours just to explain. Suffice it to say, I can't make the requirement go away.
Anyway, I have a working solution in place; no problems with controls loading, rendering or maintaining their ViewState. This is what my OnLoad looks like:
So all the javascript loads fine except for the jqGrid. It's giving me this error: jQuery("#resultsGrid").jqGrid is not a function Which I'm assuming means it can't find the .js source. However, it is in my main Js folder along with all the other goodies, and everything else seems to work fine. Plus, none of the other javascript needs to reference the grid stuff as a source, so if I reference it in the script tag, it will break everything else right?
I am familiar with creating and persisting dynamic controls on the first load of a page and on subsequent postbacks but I am having trouble with the following user initiated scenario...
In my demo I have a placeholder, two buttons and a literal
