I'm getting an error in all browsers with the ComboBox that in IE causes the user to not be able to enter data into any other field on the form. In Firefox it just throws an error but doesn't cause any problems.
The error is this:this.ajax__combobox_prototypes[i]._popupBehavior is null
I've got a few ComboBoxes on a page which worked fine before. I can't recall making any changes to the form but now I get an "Object Expected" javascript error when the page loads and the comboxes don't load/work.
On debugging from IE, the highlighted error is in MicrosoftAjax.js in the piece of code

i am using ajax combobox.it works fine for fetching and updating data.but when backspace or delete is press the it gives error :

I am using a ComboBox from the ASP.NET AJAX Toolkit (version for .NET 3.5) with values populated into its DataSource property.If I use my mouse to drop the combobox down and select a value, then highlight the value and click backspace, I get an error: Microsoft JScript runtime error: '_optionListItems[...].text' is null or not an objectMy DropDownStyle is set to "DropDown" so I should be able to have text in the control that does not exactly match one of the items in it. Therefore, I do not understand why I get this error. It seems to work perfectly otherwise.

The Weird thing about this is that the error does not occur on the development machine but only on the server.
I have the following items bound to my combobox:
Value: 1, Text: SNS
Value: 2, Text: ING
Value: 3, Text: ING
Choosing value 1 results in a SelectedValue of 1
Choosing value 2 results in a SelectedValue of 2
Choosing value 3 results in a SelectedValue of 2
does the combobox has as a disadvantage that the Text has to be unique?
I'm try to add a combobox to my form which i have done and populate it with the infomation i need but i want to stop the user from being able to edit the first 5 character in the textbox part of the combo box( 1 is this possible 2 am i going about it in the right way).
I have 3 columns fro a db to enter ips ie 123.456.7.89 at the start if each number i want (SE1)(SE2)(SE3) which i can do at the momment . So I get in the combobox list 3 items with (SE1)123.456.7.89 OR just (SE1) depending of i a result is returned from the DB. However i don't want the user to be able to edit out the (SE?) part of the sting in the textbox. When editing i've tried used the text change event to try and capture the change and make sure the string.length > 5 , but the event does not fire also when i leave the combobox it it adds to the combox list. If I refersh it goes back to how it should be with only the 3 items.

it binding correctly(datasource dynamically binded) and it raises event too while changing index but it is not raising event when we manually clearing the combobox text..if currently combobox having text "ASP" then i manually select that entire text and using del key i am deleting but it is not raising event for me.. when i change index it automatically raising event...i need to raise event while combobox is empty...

I have a problem with the Ajax ComboBox from the Ajax Control ToolKit. When I want to erase the text in the ComboBox, I got this error:
"Microsoft JScript runtime error: '_optionListItems[...].text' is null or not an object". I only get this error when deleting the content of the Combox is the first action I do on the ComboBox. If I overwrite the text by entering something else before deleting this text, I got no error.

What is it means , and how can i fix it ?
I have my website up and running, and i've got many respones from surfers that the Accordion object that I have on one of the pages won't openpanes. I geuess that it got something to do with old browsers or security settings, but I'm not sure which. Besides, assuming that it does has somethingto do with old browsers to bad settings, what can i change in the Accordion's settings to make sure it will run on old browsers as well?
View 1 RepliesI have a problem with CascadingDropDown... I have two related comboboxes, where the second is a slave of the first (e.g. country the first, cities the second). What I want is that if I select one country from combobox 1 then the second must be "filtered" by that selection (it should display all the cities inside the selected country, and the actual CascadingDropDown implementation is OK), but if I leave the combobox 1 in the default option (e.g. "Please select a country") I want the second to display all the cities I have in the database. The problem is that when selecting default option for combobox 1 the second combobox is disabled and a postback to my webservice never occurs.

1. User selects a State from the first combobox. This triggers the City combobox to be populated. The item(0) is "Select One:".
2. I want the entire "Select One:" to be hightlight as if the user had used their mouse and highlighted all the text.
The reason for this that I'd like the user to be able to start typing the city without needing to clear out the "Select One:" manually.

I'd like to know which mobile browsers do and don't support Javascript and Ajax, so I can know whether I've at least covered the majority of my target market (i.e. iPhone, Droid, Nokia, Opera). Currently I have no way of accessing the DragPanelExtender directly using javascript as it keeps returning null. If I disable the extender in the code behind from a partial postback it works fine, but I want to remove this partial postback and do it all in javascript. This works in IE.

I am having 2 problems at this time with the ajax accordion extender. At my website [URL] I have an accordion extender for the "Products" button. When I browse my site in IE everything is as it should be. You click on the "Products" button and the accordion expands to show 4 more buttons. However if you browse the site in Chrome the accordion expands and you see an empty pane. I have tried changing many settings in the accordion control and pane but nothing seems to make it work correctly in Chrome.
Another problem I am having is I would like to make the accordion expand when you hover your mouse over the "Products" button. The functionality I want is that it will stay open until you either hover over any other button outside of the accordion, back over the "Products" button again or you navigate to a new page.

How do you refresh a combo box from clicking on something from another Combobox (using Visual Basic).
I don't want to use a button for this as i know it works that way by using .Databind() on the other combobox.
In access it is so easy by using the click event on a combo box but visual studio does not seem to use it.
in fact I have 2 webservice calls, one returns 8 results and the other one 4 results. So the same webservice is called twice but with different arguments and on different pages(browsers).What happens? even though I call on one page only one webservice(arguments1), I also get the results from webservicearguments2) which should be only on PAGE2to be more clear: I get both webservice results in both the pages, when I expect one for each page, it's like they share webservice results somehow,

when u type a name in the search box u will get a result.
i will display search result using th data list.
inside that datalist i vl show the details, for showing some full details i use hover menu.
Problem i face: the hover menu is working well in IE, Firefox .
But in Chrome while i displaying the result itself hover menu is shown without an mouse over.
How to rectify this browser issue ?
