I am creating a popup control . In the popup panel I am going to show a gridview, which has some values and user can select one of them. After user select a value I want to pass it to a textbox on the page.How I can read the value of a given column and pass to the textbox?
View 1 RepliesI am facing problem while using popup control with Grid.Following is the situation.I have a grid. in grid for each row there is an anchor tag for "Add Comment".on clicking this anchor tag a popup should apear with a textbox to add comments,two buttons - Save and Cancel and a requirefieldvalidator which will check that whether the textbox is filled or not.Now the problem is when i click on save button the requiredfield validator doesn't work.and if i go with the flow means after adding comment hitting the save button - saves my comment but popup contol doesn't get hide. it appears as it is.Can anyone please help me out in this??Can anyone tell me how to hide popup control after saving. and why required validator doesn' get fired???
I am unable to get the selected value of the DropDownList. When the user selects a value and clicks OK, the value that was loaded as the default selected value with an index of 0 is available in code behind, not the newly selected value. See the attached code for the dropdownlist in the Modal Popup form.

I have a page which displays a modal popup window.
In the popup window I have a textbox and 2 radio buttons. How can I set focus to the textbox when this popup window is displayed.
When i try to submit the page which has modal popup extender,popup extender becomes visible! How can i avoid this?

I have strange behavior where comma appears on the text box each time I click pagination or button that causes page post back a comman is appended to the text box. Comma is appended in a incremental mode that is no. of commas is equal to the no. of times panel posts back.

But user enters the wrong detail, it should shows in a lablel in a popup panel. It shows; but the problem is it close the popup . But I want to keep the popup if the user enters the wrong details. I got all this to work.Now instead of showing it just like a gridview I would like to attach a popup to the link buttons I created at runtime and show them as a panel popup with the gridview in it.How do I do something like this?

If I hard code the entried of the radiobutton list, then it works, but what I'm trying to do is populate the radiobuttonlist depending on the element chosen in the first dropdown list....but this doesn't work....Why will it work if I add the items in the "rblCSTP" but if I try to populate it based on the ddlElements then it won't work?

When I click the button to open the modal popup it shows the popup but then continues and forces a postback causing the page to reload and the modal popup to be hidden again.Here is the markup for the control:

The expression in the FindControl argument is what the id of the label looks like when i view source in my browser after running the page.I also tried to use the popup control's DynamicControlID property, but im not sure what the DynamicServiceMethod is for.
I have a login control on a web application. I am using a modal popup extender to show a message when the login button is hit. That all works fine. The problem is, once the user hits the "OK" on the popup, it closes and then nothing happens. I tried adding javascript postback but did not help.

A control with ID 'btnAdd' could not be found. I don't have any problem with ModalPopupExtender1, but the problem is with opening ModalPopupExtender2 once the ModalPopupExtender1 is opened.

And also I want to do all operation such as Update, Delete and Add. As all these are Link buttons none of the event associated with them are firing.

View 2 RepliesI have a gridview in an updatepanel that is set to always update. I have a delete command button in an item tamplate. For this delete button I am using a ConfirmButtonExtender and ModalPopupExtender for deleting. This works fine initially when the page first loads. However, if I edit an item in the grid (which hides the grid and displays the selected item's info) and either save or cancel (which displays the grid again) and then try the delete, the modal popup displays, and if I click yes to delete, the row will now not delete. The delete command does not fire. Here is the code for my gridview.
