AJAX :: Updating An Image After Upload A Jpg File?

I have a problem updating an image after upload a jpg file.
[Code]....
Why don't the image update?
I am having a strange issue associated with AsyncFileUpload control. after the upload, I am updating the page by calling__doPostBack function from ClientUploadComplete event handler. it works fine first time, but next time I try to upload the file, it refreshes the page first before uploading, then does the upload and refreshes the page again. not sure why refresh page is being called twice once before the upload and once after the upload. I have a simplified version of this code which has this bug.
[Code]....
I am getting an error when i am uploading an image with the asynchronous file upload the error is " Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "AjaxControlToolkit.Properties.Resources.NET4.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "AjaxControlToolkit" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed.
Description:
An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Resources.MissingManifestResourceException: Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "AjaxControlToolkit.Properties.Resources.NET4.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "AjaxControlToolkit" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed.
I have some thing like below in my page
View 1 Repliesmy application is running in visual studio 2005, i used ajax control toolkit for .Net framework 2.0.but now i want to use ajaxcontroltoolkit latest version which is for .net framework 3.5 in my application which is running on .net framework 2.0 and visual studio
2005.how to integrate or use ajaxcontrol toolkit ?because i have some functionality like there is one file upload control and when click button it will take 2 to 3 min for upload so
i need progress bar with loading gif file.because of asynchronous postback fileupload control has not file.so i must assign postback trigger to button if i assign postback trigger to button than loading gif or progress bar not working.so i want to use AsynchFileUpload control of newly release toolkit.
is there any way to do it? or any other way.my client also not want to switch over it's application from 2005 to 2008.My code is below
<asp:UpdateProgress ID="uppr" AssociatedUpdatePanelID="up" runat="server">
<ProgressTemplate>
<div id="IMGDIV1" align="center" valign="middle" runat="server" style="position: relative; display:none; [code]....
I am using the async file upload control to upload to a image file. I want the user to upload only jpg files. And for that I am checking the uploadedfile content type in server side, after the upload complets. I wanna check this, before upload starts. There is one javascript method
function startUpload(sender, args){}
but how to access the content type of the file selected by user.
I have to insert default image into databse..when no image is selected from fileupload control.. Here is code...not working for default image...
if (FileUpload1.HasFile){string FileName = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(FileUpload1.PostedFile.FileName);
FileUpload1.SaveAs(Server.MapPath("~/UPLOADEDFILES/" + FileName));
feedBack.Attachments.Add(new Attachment(FileUpload1.PostedFile.InputStream, FileName));
} else {
string filename="~/images/"+ "sun.gif";filename.pPropertyImage = filename;FileUpload1.SaveAs(MapPath(filename));}
I'm using a slightly modified version of Valum's upload [github link], I've modified it to upload to a database but haven't modified the javascript that it is using to get the file into the Request as an InputStream. The following line of code is failing in IE 8 but is confirmed to work in Chrome. using (Image imgInput = Image.FromStream(Request.InputStream)) The error received is "Parameter not valid". It appears to be having an issue with the Input Stream being used but it exists/has data (not sure how to validate if the data is good or not).

How to upload images with some conditions
Like
size not gretr than 50 kb
with = 110px, height 140 px
etc..
I want to access one image file residing in C: of the client's machine. I know with the help of file upload control (or say input type=file), this would be easy. Due to nature of my application (Its a KIOSK application), user is not expected to select file. I am just wondering how should I implement reading file without using file upload control. I want to store this file in Images folder of server. I am beginner to WCF. Should I look towards WCF?
View 7 RepliesI want to upload image through fileupload toolbox and display it in image control.
The image control should get the path from fileupload and should display the image.
I have done it with following code attached
HTML Markup-
<asp:FileUpload ID="FileUpload1" runat="server"
style="top: 256px; left: 533px; position: absolute; height: 23px; width: 217px" ForeColor="White" />
<asp:Button ID="btnset" runat="server" Font-Bold="False" Font-Names="Times New Roman" Font-Size="Medium" style="top: 309px; left: 605px; position: absolute; height: 26px; width: 81px" Text="Set Photo " />
<asp:Image ID="Image2" runat="server" style="top: 66px; left: 568px; position: absolute; height: 152px; width: 136px" BorderColor="#CCCCFF" BorderStyle="Ridge" />
VB Code-
Protected Sub btnset_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnset.Click
Image2.ImageUrl = FileUpload1.FileName
End Sub
I have an asp.net panel having various controls including gridview. I have converted this panel into pdf and attached it as an email attachment using memory stream. Everything is working fine. Now I have an File upload control outside panel through which I have to attach a file and send it in mail along with the already attached panel. But I am unable to figure out how to do it.
View 1 RepliesI am using Ajax to update my UpdatePanel every 1 second and it is working perfectly with my gridview. However, when I placed a image into the UpdatePanel, which it supposed be changing and updated every 1 second, it does not update but the gridview does. Gridview is getting active changing data from the database without any problem. The image which I want to see the updating is the StreamImage.jpg. StreamImage.jpg is inside my local directory. It only updates when I hit the refresh button.
<asp:Content ID="Content4" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder2" Runat="Server">
I develop an ASP.NET web application. The server side receives a stream of image data (JPEG frames as byte arrays).
It should processes them and send the images to the client side periodically.
For displaying these images on the client side I tried to use an approach similar to this described in the post "Improve your Image(s)" (http://steveorr.net/articles ImproveYourImages.aspx) by using an auxiliary ASP.NET page for the purposes of the server side image processing.
When I used a client side button to request the image ocntrol (imgCameraCapture) update with its URL pointing to the processing page (GenImage.aspx, as in the above post), everything worked fine (with exception of the whole page re-rendering on each button event). The image was updated.
For a periodic update of the client image control on the main page I put in an ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanel andset it to update conditionally by triggering to an ASP.Net AJAX timer (10 seconds) event in order to achieve a partial page update (just the image).
II used the timer tick event handler to update the image by invoking the separate ASP.NET image data processing page there as in the button click event handler. But in the timer tick event handler the processing page was not invoked and the image was not updated.
This is the C# code behind executed in the button clik and timer tick event handlers:
imgCameraCapture.ImageUrl = "~/GenImage.aspx";
I have this file upload control. I have created a folder name "images" in my visual studio project. I want to upload image into this folder. BUT, when I am uploading a image, system does not show any error. It is uploading the image. But I cannot see it into the "images" folder. But, when I browse the folder from my computer like if I go to c:/my documents/vs project/my project/images. i can see the uploaded image. Then why the image is not visible from my visual studio?? as the image is not visible in my visual studio project, user can not see the uploaded image. my code is as below:

how can i upload an image to the file systm?
View 2 RepliesI am using FileUpload control to facilitate Image file upload on my website. I want to restrict a user to upload only Image file. I am using
if (fupFirmLogo.PostedFile.ContentType == "image/Jpeg")
{
}
to check if the file is a image or not. I want to allow all image extensions like PNG, GiF, Jpeg, tif , BMP etc. How should I do it.
I have file upload UI element in which the user will upload images. Here I have to validate the height and width of the image in client side. Is it possible to find the size of the image having only the file path in JS?Note: If No, is there any other way to find the dimensions in Client side?
View 4 RepliesI have an 'Attach image button' in my web page, I don't want see the the file upload control cannot use any third party tools in my page. On the click of the 'Attach image button' it will directly shows the browser's directory window and select the file from that and can directly uploads to the server.

View 1 RepliesSo I'm working on a site that is going to need a file upload control where the user would be able to upload an image, and then the page would postback causing the image to appear for their viewing (before they submit the data to the database, the image is being stored as type image). What I do now is have my own private web form where people send me their image, I format it accordingly and use the following simple code to upload it:
byte[] newimage = fileUpImgFile.FileBytes;
var myDataTable = (from item in context.TypeSet where item.Number == txtBxNumber.Text.Trim() select item).ToList();
foreach (Type item in myDataTable)
{
item.Photo = newimage;
}
context.SaveChanges();
Which works, but in this case, it would only work if the record exists already in the database so the person would have to save the data, then go back in and upload the image (inconvenient and inefficient). Is there a way to upload it, store it in memory, and then display it, without saving it to the database?
uploading image from one server to another server. i am developing one website [URL] and from this website i want to upload images to another website say [URL] using asp:fileupload control... is it possible to upload file or image from localhost machine to different server using fileupload.saveas method..
View 2 RepliesI use these code to uploading image
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="Upbdt" runat="server">
<ContentTemplate>
<asp:ModalPopupExtender DropShadow="true" ID="ModalPopupExtender"
PopupControlID="PnPopup" runat="server" TargetControlID="BtnPopup"
>
</asp:ModalPopupExtender>
[Code] ....
behind code
protected void BtnUpload_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {
string path = Server.MapPath(".") + "../Upload";
string[] validext = { ".jpg", ".gif", ".png", ".rar" };
string ext =
System.IO.Path.GetExtension(AsyncFileUpload1.PostedFile.FileName);
if (Array.IndexOf(validext, ext.ToLower()) < 0)
[Code] ....
Here in UpdatePanel i have 2 lable :1-lable20 and 2-lblMessage
These lable show error message when Extension and size of image are out of limit.
Problem is when i.e I upload .rar file and click on BtnUpload button it exit from popup window and i cant't see error message i should click on upload button again untill again show popup window after that i can see error message
I want it doesn't exit from popup window until user enter correct format of image if they don't enter correct format they can see error on popup window.
i have fileupload control and image control.on click of browse button fileupload window gets open and after selecting image it should appear on image control.even i tried with AsyncFileUpload control from AjaxControlToolkit and its uploadcomplete event. but still i m not able to do it.
View 16 RepliesI have an aspx page (c#) that a user can upload an image file. I'd also like them to be able to attach this image file. Is it possible to attach the image file to the email then send without saving a copy of the attchment to the web server? I don't need a copy of the file, just need to attach it.
