I am not versed on this stuff and dont know what an operand is and dont know where it is supposed to go. I have used a toolkit to build several toolkits which I love but when stuff goes wrong like this I dont know how to fix it. The tool kit allows us to drop Easy Controls into sections, all the easy controls work well, but when we tried to place a "tag Cloud" on the page I got the following, and it killed the page. How do I fix .

Databases :: Syntax Error (missing Operator) In Query Expression?

Mar 8, 2010

I have a Excel user application which has a user form (named 'Registo') that displays criteria and an image that has been entered in it's corresponding spreadsheet. This works the way it should. There's also the ability to search the spreadsheet via a form (by clicking 'Pesquisar' button) this opens a search form. However, I having a bit of a problem with it. When I try to search for something it basically doesn't do anything at all. It just sits there. So I tried to debug it and I think I'm having a problem with either the JET db engine or somethign with teh query or maybe I don't have the correct reference.

Access :: Syntax Error In UPDATE Statement For TemplateField Gridview?

Sep 1, 2010

I was wondering if there is any way to view an sql statement that is created by a templateField Gridview when updating? I had my Gridview working properly then I changed my update statement to update less fields and I changed a couple more things on the page and now I don't know what broke it. The error I'm getting is

"System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Syntax error in UPDATE statement."

When I searched for this error it said to debug it but all that happens when I do that is visual studio tells me there were errors because it couldn't find my header, which it does find when it runs regularly so this isn't the problem.

SQL Server :: EXEC 17P_Comose Will Give Incorrect Syntax Error - Incorrect Syntax Near '17'

Sep 15, 2010

I am working with a sql server database with about 50 stored procedures. The database and stored procedureswere not created by me. The stored procedures all begin with a number in their name.

Example: 17P_Comsetter

The problem I am having is that if I try and execute the stored procedure at the command line in Query Analyzer, the query analyzer appears not to like that the stored procedure begins with a number. For example:

If I try an run the stored procedure as follows:

EXEC 17P_Comsetter

Then I get the following error message:

Msg 102, ..... Incorrect Syntax near '17'

I am using SQL server 2005. Does anyone know why I am getting this error message?

ADO.NET :: Getting Error - The Data Types Text And Varchar Are Incompatible In The Equal To Operator?

Nov 10, 2010

So admitingly I am fairly new at .NET...I have been a PHP guy for rather long time...

Heres my code:

[code]....

Essentially what I am trying to do is query the SQL database by the username. This above code is a method within the user respository for fetching a user by their username. The variable "username" is passed in as a string.

When the method is called a recieve the following error:

The data types text and varchar are incompatible in the equal to operator.

This to me is rather confusing since the field in the database, user_username, is a text and the variable passed in, as said, is a string. They should be synonomous for all practical purposes.

Ideas? Thoughts? Fixes?

ADO.NET :: The Data Types Ntext And Nvarchar Are Incompatible In The Equal To Operator - How To Avoid This Error

I've found a lot of similar topics but none of them solves my problem.

I have table structure like that

[Code]....

Everyone suggests to change ntext type to nvarchar(MAX) and life will be beautyfull. But... First, I need
ntext, simply because there should be text in this field.

nvarchar(MAX) equals 4096 bytes which is to small for large text. Second, I already have table with
ntext field, which does not cause this error.
