So now I want to use it in view-code but when I put it in angle brackets (<%: or <%=) and put it in head element I got no access to this value. On the other hand when I put it in BODY element everything is ok. My failing example (simplified):
I would like to use this syntax in my UI library, I know how to implement this but I don't know HOW it actually works! I understand that somewhere and somewhat a delegate is created and provided as an argument of the method Content, but can't find any information about this mecanism or technic. Assumed current correct answer : The compiler translates the aspx code below into (symbolic translation for comprehension):
I have some data which contains angle brackets in some of the fields.Even if properly escaped as <: or > (or even the hex codes), in Visual Studio 2005 ASP.Net, the field data is being truncated at the first angle bracket. If I replace the data with curly braces
<ITReview><row TopNode="REQ 123456 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/><row TopNode="REQ 456789 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/></ITReview><ITReview><row TopNode="REQ 123456 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/><row TopNode="REQ 456789 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/></ITReview>
I have some data which contains angle brackets in some of the fields.Even if properly escaped as <: or > (or even the hex codes), or contained in CDATA, in Visual Studio 2005 ASP.Net, the field data is being truncated at the first angle bracket. If I replace the data with curly braces, it displays fine.Is this a parser defect in the TreeView control? I can use Response.Write and see that the data provided by the XmlDataSource is fine. Example:
<ITReview> <row TopNode="REQ 123456 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/><row TopNode="REQ 456789 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/> </ITReview> <ITReview> <row TopNode="REQ 123456 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/><row TopNode="REQ 456789 TT Description <Date sent to app dev> <Priority> <SubTask Status>"/> </ITReview>
This truncates right after TT Description. If I change to curly braces or parentheses, it displays fine.
I am customizing the asp:PasswordRecovery control by adding an own UserNameTemplate. This all works fine, but as soon as I am adding any "Angle Bracket Percent" (<%=) into the UserNameTemplate, the entire PasswordRecovery control falls back to the default design and doesn't use my own UserNameTemplate anymore.
For instance, if I customize a asp:PasswordRecovery control as follows, it works fine ...
[Code]....
... but when I add <%= "Hello world" %> it uses the default layout:
[Code]....
Is this a bug or do I need to change anything? Using Angle Bracket Percent in asp:Login (within LayoutTemplate) works fine, but not in asp:PasswordRecovery. The reason why I need/want to use Angle Bracket Percent is because I want to get localized text out of an XML file (e.g. "<%= GetText("ForgotPassword.Introduction") %>"). However, this shouldn't be the problem as asp:PasswordRecovery even breaks if I use the "<%= "Hello world" %> phrase in the example stated above.
I have Unicode text being displayed on an ASP.NET page. The text is enclosed by two square brackets, as soon as Arabic text appears the ending bracket goes reverse, e.g."[Hi there]" becomes "[ [arabic". Is this a browser issue? The brackets are hard-coded and only the enclosing text is dynamic.
Here is some sample code. The variable resultString contains the Unicode text.
I'm using the standard asp:Login control, and we have a user who recently changed her password to include an angular bracket. When she tries to login, she gets an error message, and I get the standard 'dangerous request' exception.
I know I can set ValidateRequest="false" on the page to negate this, but I was hoping someone knew of a better way.
I've textbox which has data: This is not valid data for [Smith] [Jackson], Now the user can't edit the text which is in between the [] brackets. How to prevent them from editing the text in brackets? Can we prevent with Javascript? or Is there any other alternatives?
Working with VB code - I have code which displays a figure between brackets. The figure displayed is a count of the amount of entries made to my textbox and outputs to my placeholder- I hope I make sense here...???Anyways, I'd like to output the correct data and time (at time of textbox entry) instead of the count.
I have a page with two textboxes (one for english and one for korean)..
I want users to be able to enter an english word or enter a korean word in each respective textboxes...
Now I can only enter english in both of them... Even if my keyboard language is switched to Korean(I have the language pack installed).. I can not type in Korean in the Korean text box....
I thought I could simply change this using something like:
I'm hoping this is an easy one...I'm using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word to convert uploaded word documents into previewable html files. I haven't implemented it fully, but I've played around with it enough that I think I have a plan that will work... My question revolves around
[Code]....
I'm not in love with the idea of opening word and closing it everytime there's an upload (which I hope is a lot of the time) I'd like to make this a shared object that loads at application start. I have 2 questions that go along with this. 1. I imagine that winword could lock up and that would be a problem, right? 2. to save a document I use wordapp.ActiveDocument, this could have an issue as a shared object, right? I think I'm talking myself right out of this...
I have requirement where I need to allow users to upload a Word document with place holders for certain fields which can be found in the database. This will be their template. For example the place holders might be prepended with @@ or something. For example
Dear @@Title @@Lastname
They then can grab a record and hit export to Word document. This will then let them choose the template. They can select the template and then click continue. I will then get the template and replace the @@Title with the title field in the database for the selected record. I am not sure where to start or what components I need to do this.
From my initial investigation it seems that I can do this with the new open XML standard for Office 2007. So perhaps I should read in the template and save all the contents to a db table somewhere. Then when the use wants to export I get the contents again and then do a search and replace for the @@ placeholders and link them properly. Then save the document to the output stream again which will then bring up the save dialog on their browser.
I am using ASP.Net MVC and am in a hosted environment. I was also maybe contemplating dynamically creating a new View type and dynamically creating new views when the user uploads a template. Not sure that this approach will work though.
I have a word document which opens in a web browser using ASP.NET 2.0 this is the code:
[Code]....
THIS WORKS, PROMPTING THE USER WITH "OPEN" "SAVE" "CANCEL" OR SOME USERS WITH "SAVE" "CANCEL" DEPENDING ON USER INTERNET SECURITY SETTING. BUT FOR SECURITY ISSUES, MY BOSS WANT THIS WORD DOCUMENT TO BE OPENED IN WORD PROGRAM. (MICROSOFT WORD 93,97 ETC) IS THIS POSSIBLE....? OFCOURSE SAVING THE FILE IS OKAY, JUST OPENING THE DOCUMENT SHOULD BE NOT BROWSER.
I'm a student doing final year of my Computer Science and Engineering. For my final year project i've choosen to do an online word processor such as google docs, zoho etc.I want to implement this project in .net. This will be a ajax oriented project and i'm well prepared with the web related part of it with ASP.net and C#.net at the server end and HTML,Javascript at the front end. But the point where i'm struck up is:
-> How can i create, edit and add MS Word features to a .doc file using VB.net or C#.net?? -> .net Library classes that will be helpful for me to create word related components as .doc files i.e how to create word using .net? -> How can i convert a .doc file to HTML file to display it on a web browser? -> In brief tell me how to create a word processor so that i'll be able to create it online.
I have developed a website that allows users to upload office documents then uses the office object model to convert the document to an HTML file that it then displays in an iFrame. I have, of course, included references to Office.interop.word, and the site works fine on my development machine. When I uploaded it to my production server the site functions fine until I try to upload a document. I initially got a similar error that said "COM object not registered". I realized that Word wasn't installed on my production server. So I installed word and now when the server tries to access the word object model I receive the following error:
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {000209FF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005 Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
I searched the registry for the corresponding CLSID and found a corresponding folder. I added full control to the IUSR_ account and due to the persistence of the error I eventually added full control to "everyone" and ensured these permissions inherited down to the rest of the folder. I then added full control to IUSR_ and again eventually added full control to "everyone" to my microsoft office folder. I don't know what other permissions to grant and where in order to make this "Access is denied" error go away. I must be granting them in the wrong place, because as far as I know I can't be any more permissive than "Everyone" "Full Control".
I am getting the error 80070005 access denied while trying to create a ms-word document dynamically through the c# code. For this I have to register COM Library to IIS. I want to know how to register a COM Library to IIS using regsvr32.
My requirement is : I have to open a word document in Microsoft word from my web application and the word document is stored in the server location.
In javascript i wrote a code to open the word document like below. var dsWordApp = new ActiveXObject("Word.Application"); var WordDoc = dsWordApp.Documents.Open(FileName)
Using above script i am able to open the local word doc files but i am unable to open the server side word doc file.
