I want to convert video as it is uploaded to H.264 or an alternate HQ video to play in a flash player. I would like to support as many file formats as possible.
EDIT: Need to be compatible on a Windows shared hosting account.
I want to have a web form where i browse any kind of video format file and convert it into the anyother video format using asp.net.Is it possible using asp.net? If yes then how can i do that and what builtin or third party components / controls has to use.
Is there anyway to convert any video that has been uploaded by the uplaod control to a flv fromat in a shared hosted enviroment or is there any dll etc to use ?.
I'm building a cms and I want users to be able to upload videos but I'm not familiar with video upload & conversion. Is there an example or has anybody coded a solution like this? I heard about ffmpeg but I don't know how to integrate it with asp.net.
As simple solution I can make my clients upload flv files but then I would still need to get a screenshot from that fvl.
I can test the application locally and it works. But once I publish the application on my IIS6 web server the PDF does not generate or output. Is it a PDF Mime problem? What is causing the application not to output the pdf once it goes to production. My IIS6 has Adobe Reader and I added the PDF Mime.
I have a web application and I need to convert DOCX files to PDF to generate some reports wtiten in Word 2007. First I used automation and I faced a DCOM problem and finally I discovered that Microsoft doesn't support automation of Word on the server side.Now I'm searching for other free tools as opposed to Word and etc isn't free, iTextSharp doesn't convert DOCX to PDF.
I'm really stuck tryign to figure this out. Converting XLS to CSV is no big deal or at least it seems that way. However, trying to go xlsx to csv seems to be more difficult. For grins, I grabbed some code that is supposed to read a sample xlsx file and convert that into a gridview called GridView1. I figure it can't be much different to turn that into CSV.
Now i'm currently trying to code a basic website as a project and i've run into problems regarding a search video function. having searched through the forum i still could not find a solution.What i intend to do is to have a video search web service in my website, perhaps something like this:http://www.google.com/uds/solutions/...rch/index.html. however from my limited understanding the codes provided is unable to work with VS2005? Is there a basic template that i could follow and implement for a video search function for youtubes video?
When using a modal popup extender along with an embedded video, the popup is hidden behind the video in IE but works as expected in FF.I've tried manually setting the z-index of the popup to a huge number and the z-index of the video object to 1 but this makes no difference. I've put the code for a sample page below.

I have a string I need to convert back to a date. I can call .ToString("yyyyMMdd") and get the string i want. My question is how can I convert that back into a date? I'm trying something like the following with no luck.
DateTime d; var formatInfo = new DateTimeFormatInfo {ShortDatePattern = "yyyyMMdd"}; if (DateTime.TryParse(details.DetectionTime.Date, formatInfo, DateTimeStyles.None, out d)) { lit.Text = d.ToShortTimeString(); //would like 07/30/2010 as the text }
I've never used DateTimeFormatInfo before if that isn't obvious. Can someone point me in the right direction. I know I could probably use substring and create a new DateTime(y, m, d) etc... I'm just wondering since c# interpreted .ToString() correctly, if it can't derive a date from the very same string it output.
I just wondered is there any good learning c# and oop web tutorial / seminars either free or paid that will give you a good understanding of producing asp.net websites?
I want to insert flash object in my Asp.net page.I just googled it but found results to create specific object in the page script.Is there any additional UI component available with Simple Drag and drop interface for flash file.
<script type='text/javascript'> //var file_link = this.Label2.Text; var so = new SWFObject('http://player.longtailvideo.com/player4.6.swf','ply','470','320','9','#000000'); so.addParam('allowfullscreen','true'); so.addParam('allowscriptaccess','always'); so.addParam('wmode','opaque'); so.addVariable('file','http://www.youtube.com/v/S2HIda5wSVU&fs=1'); so.write('mediaspace'); </script>
Now I have some video links in a gridview so I just want to be able to load the video depending on what the user selects from the gridview..i.e. m using gridview as a playlist..so can somebody tell me how to load the video in the above code from code behind.
