I have a web site project. My project contains two files Web.config. One. The configuration file in the root directory, the second child in the directory(see below).All pages in the root directory work fine, but all the pages from the catalog of the child doesn't working. This problem is driving me absolutely crazy. I developed a very simple Web part and overrode the CreateChildControls to load a user control. The user control contains a ScriptManager and UpdatePanel from System.Web.Extensions. This Web part appeared to be working fine for weeks and all of a sudden today I get the error:
Unknown server tag 'asp:ScriptManager'.
I keep getting a db parser error. I took it from my text book assignment. Here is the error and code: I am confused with the problem

Several production websites running for months with no problems, all of sudden now fail to compile sporadically.
The compiler will generate errors:
ASPNET: Make sure that the class defined in this code file matches the 'inherits' attribute, and that it extends the correct base class (e.g. Page or UserControl).
On master page code behind files that it did not before.
In addition, this error will go away (most of the time) if we recycle the application pool.

I'm building a dynamic form using XML and XSLT. Anyway I'm using a custom asp.net control for CKEditor, it's an HTML editor.
When I try to add the controls from the XSLT using Page.ParseControl(<the-string-from-the-xslt-here>), I get a warning saying:
Unknown server tag 'FCKeditor.CKEditor'
And of course, if I remove the control from the XSLT everything is working fine and all the regular asp.net controls like TextBox etc get rendered to the string just fine. Does anyone know what I can do about it?
I've recently downloaded Ajax Control Toolkit to use with my ASP.NET web app.I added the AsyncFileUpload control to a web form but when I try to run the application,I get an error :

I don't know what is going on. When I try to add a tab container in my page, it allows me to do that but when I modify the code, the unknown server tag error pops up in the design view of the page.
I checked the source code to see if I had my @register clause in there, and it was there, but still the error shows. I don't know what happened, the last time it worked perfectly.
I have also recently downloaded the cute editor for .net and installed the .dlls to my bin folder and it is showing the same simtoms as well.
Suddenly I got this message:
unhandled exception has occurred. unknown server tag 'asp:ListView'
What can be wrong with the project?
I just installed Ajax Toolkit. The controls are available in my Toolbox, but when I insert them in a page, Visual Studio underlines them with the error message "unknown server tag".
I googled the problem and found several ideas :
check if the DLL is in Bin folder check if ajaxToolKit tags prefix is registered in web.config and make sure I'm not using a different prefix in my pages check if the DLL is registered in the pages with <% @ Register ... %>
Unfortunately all of this is fine, but I still can't get the controls to work. Is something else missing ?

I've got two websites. One is a copy of the other, I even went ahead and remade a copy of the original a second time hoping it would alleviate the issue I'm having but it didn't.
On both pages I have a calendar so the route is

The issue is on the original site /Calendar works. It shows the Calendar page with the current month. On the copy site /Calendar gives a 404 but /Calendar/Index shows the Calendar page with the current month.
Now, i want use 4 AsyncFileUpload and i added those to page. But three of them in unvisible div tag like

I want to compare smalldatetime values in my db to a calendar date. I'm not getting any value from dr[0] when I debug and put breakpoint in code below. Same thing if I select 'dateStart' instead of 'count(*)'. Any ideas?

I am using Framework 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 and Visual Studio 2005.I am using 2 Ajax Calendar Extender in my page. I am using a text box and html image control and setting the TargetControlID to the test box id and the PopupButtonID to the image control name. When i click the first image the calendar pops up and without choosing a date if i click the second image the second calendar control opens on top of the first calendar control. Is there any way i can make the previous one disappear without choosing a date leaving the calendar control associated with the last image clicked.

I want them to stay selected, so i know which are the dates that already saved in DB ! So, the calendar is removing the programmed selected dates upon selecting a new date on the calendar object.

View 1 RepliesI have a new web application I'm trying to create. I'd like to put some automation into how it propagates upcoming dates. Here is the way I'd like it to function.
I have three tables:
Managers
- id
- netid
- phone1
- phone2
- username
Monthvals
- id
- monthname (Friendly like December 2010)
- monthval (shortdate like 2010-12-01 00:00:00)
Weekends
- id
- weekend_val (date of the friday)
- month_id (Monthvals.id)
- mgr_id (Managers.id)
The tables I need to create SPs for are monthvals and weekends that will build the upcoming year. This is where I'm kind of stumped.
The spec for this is each manager gets assigned a weekend every 35 days with the exception of two which alternate so in that case, every 70 days.
What I need this SP to do is based on the activity in December or the last six weeks, I'd like it to write out a schedule for the following year. I don't mind writing this out but I could really use some psuedocode to iron out what I'm trying to do.
