I have an asp.net 3.5 application. When i try to load the application it says: Exception Details: System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'VSPerf100.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
The application works fine on my win 7 machine. i tried the same on win server 2008 r2 where in i get the above message.
I am using LibCurlNet on my asp.net project. I post some fields to server with it. I downloaded library and added it to my project as reference. At first I could run my project.
But now when I run project, I have an exception:
[code]...
and I have the exception at line "Curl.GlobalInit((int)CURLinitFlag.CURL_GLOBAL_ALL);"
When I try to add reference to my project, in bin folder I found three .dll file but I just add the "LibCurlNet.dll".
We have an issue with a .NET 2.0 web service application that is generating a module not found exception when we try to load on server 2008. A second server running the same 2008 version loads the service fine.As part of the investigation we have taken the default hello world .NET 2.0 web service and deployed to both servers and have exactly the same issue with it running fine on one but not the other. The issue is trying to track down the module in question. Running process explorer and dependency walker doesn't seem to give us a clue.
I have published a website and installed it on my local machine and it works fine, but when i install it on the both servers who controlled from the load balancer i got an error like the WebResource.axd not found. how can i resolve this problem? i have checked the IIS for axd mapping, the "Check that file exists" is unchecked for both servers.
I have created a web site and using System.Data.SqlServerCE dll.
I added this dll from the path:"C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 8Common7IDESystem.Data.SqlServerCe.dll"
And I run the web site in MS visual studio 2005 and all work fine and no error.
I created a virtual directory and deployed my web site to the server. Then tried to browse the page.
But when i tried to Browse the page on the Virtual Directory from server i got this error :.
Unable to load DLL 'sqlceme30.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
I though i have missed out some dlls on server , so i tried to run my web site on the same server using Visual Studio 2005 but it still works perfectly. I dont know why when i deployed to the virtual directory then it become not working...
Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.i was searching a way to catch the exception to see exactly what was generating this problem... later, i was able to catch the exception and this is the message that theReflectionTypeLoadException catch:ould not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Mvc, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. I have a solution in Visual Studio 2008 with 3 projects. One Web Application and 2 class libraries. The entity framework model is in a class library and the start project is the web application.
I used to have this problem:
"The specified named connection is either not found in the configuration, not intended to be used with the EntityClient provider, or not valid."
I fixed it copying the connection string from the App.config of the class library where the entity model is located to the web.config of my web application (start project).
I found that workaround posted here:
[URL]
how can i avoid using the connection string from the web.config and use the one from the app.config where the entity model is located?
I have a fairly big ASP.NET 3.5 website that refuses to open any page via the 'View in Browser' option of VS2010, i.e. the LocalHost facility does not work. All I get is a 'File Not Found' error.
Two other ASP.NET 4.0 sites (which are much simpler and do not have any SQL Server connections) can be viewed without any problem via the LocalHost service.
I am developing an application which is running fine on local machine. It is using webservices and jquery's ajax to call that service. It also has some asp hidden fields. I deploy it with visual studio. It is giving me error that the resource I am looking for is not found.

In my website users can create thier own websites by making folder of thier choice like: [URL] Where the folders Pankaj and Adam are storing in database. I just want that when user after creting thier website just clicked or type the address of thier website as [URL] then if the folder with name Pankaj exists in database then the page will open otherwise it gives the http 404 page not found error. And while the address [URL] is opens then i donot want to physically create it on server. My requirement is that i want to open it by the concept of url rewriting/ Routing. Which one concept will be good for this. And can anyone provide some code with example that how can i achieve this easily.
I use VS2010,IIS 7.5,just created simple ASP.NET WebForms Application, created ASP.NET 4.0 pool with .NET 4.0 setting and trying to Publish this site IIS.
Successfully published, but when I open this site in a browser, see error: XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: http://localhost/wa1/Default.aspx Line Number 1,Column 1:
Who knows where is error?I was looking on this site for an article about publishing in ASP.NET 4.0 and VS2010,but seems like there is no sperate article about it.I am installing VS2008 and going to try the same.
I've just setup a new site on my IIS6 and I'm experiencing the following problem:
I can run normal HTML pages, but no .aspx files. If I call the aspx page directly I get a 404 - file not found - error message. This only happens with .aspx files.
I have just deployed my ASP.NET MVC 2 application using EF 4 and I am getting the following error:
Unable to load the specified metadata resource.
On my local machine it runs fine with no errors. This error only comes now when I deployed to the server. I have my enity data model file in MyProject.EntityModel. I used the POCO entity generator to separate my context and entities. These 2 are in another project called MyProject.Entities. I have the connection strings in the app.config in the 2 projects exactly the same. The connection string in the web.config in my MVC app is also the same. I'm not sure why this is giving me issues? I'm also running the app in IIS (that comes with Windows 7) and it works fine. The IIS version on the server is 6 (I think). Here is the full error message:

I have created an application which runs fine in VS2010.Now i am trying to host that application using inetmgr. When i try to browse the page from inetmgr content view then i get the "Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified".If i browse the page from VS i am able to do it.I am not able to host the app. may be the reason is the above stated error.
