Configuration :: Asp Menu Working In Dev Environment But Not On The Server?

have added an asp menu to my site which i populate depending on the user/group from an entity framework object using a re-entrant function. This successfully adds menu items with associated child menu's to level n in the development environment.The problem comes when i publish to the server. when i view the published site the menu view changes and instead of a nice neat menu bar it shows a big list of the correct menuitems in a flat structure blanking out the rest of the page(asp menu is set to horizontal normally)server - windows server 2003 x64 - iis6 - asp 4.0.30319 + net4 framework packsdev - windows 7 - Visual studio 2010i am checking both sites with the same browsers so its not a browser issue.

I am sorry to be asking what is probably a really stupid question, but i have a problem with my asp menu, when i run it on my dev machine(thru vs2010) it works perfectly, all the menu's are displayed correctly with the correct child items in the correct order but when i publish it to the server all the menu items become flat and take up the whole page. I am populating the menu using a reentrant function as follows to call the function and add the menus i am using

My application is working fine in local environment but not working after push code in live. My locale environment and hosting environment both are having same configuration. Same app working fine 2 month before but in different domain but same hosting server.
how to check the both config / any possible to run debug mode in hosting server please let me know. below code used in all page for checking user session status but when I click on any link page redirect to login.aspx I think session got timeout. I don't know why session got time frequently, but this issue not happening in local environment (desktop).

I have created a basic horizontal menu in MVWD 2010 which works when I debug it on my own machine. But as soon as I upload to a ASP.net 3.5 sever online, the dynamic aspect doesnt work. Are there some major differences in frameowrk 3.5 to 4?

After months of work I thought I had finished with my web application using VS2008 with CSSFriendly menu. On publishing, the menu did not work and I got all sorts of errors. Deleting CSSFriendlyAdapters.browser in App_Browsers folder improved the layout but the menu was not rendered with css even though the html source shows thet are linked. On desperation, I changed the target Framework from 3.5 to 2.0 and then back to 3.5 with no avail.

I developed a web page using asp.net 2.0 and ajax toolkit on my laptop on Windows 7 and IIS 6. I have my ajax/atlas toolkit DLL in my bin. The updatePanel works fine and does not postback my page. But when i hosted my website on a dedicated server the page postback totally like i have no updatepanel/ajax in my page...
I am using : Windows server 2008, IIS 6Ajax 2.0 installed on the server. I don t understand what is the difference with windows server or IIS or something else?

i have a virtual directory in iis for my project. so that my application is accessible in other pcs as well. Now i want do debug the project when somebody is requesting the page from the other pc. i am not running application using (F5) Start Debugging. But still i want to debug when somebody is requesting the page. Netbean IDE has this feature.

I'm looking for a good jQuery or CSS, or combo, library to enance my left side menu in an an intranet application. I don't like the 'hover only' expand/collapse style of the ASP.NET Menu control on its own, and I don't like the 'icon-click only' expand/collapse style of the TreeView control on its own.
I plan on trying the CSS Control Adapters, to render the menu with some self-respect, i.e. as nested <ul> or <ol> elements instead of the usual orgy of tables. Beyond that, I need something to give a bit of style and menulike behaviour to these nested lists, and I would prefer a jQuery plugin for this. Which should I use?

I was wondering if it is possible for me to deploy an application, developed and currently running in .NET 2.0 environment to the .NET 4.0 environment. Will it break anything in the process? I was thinking it should be possible since the .net 3.5 onwards are just additional libraries over the .NET 2.0 framework?

I want to configure ASP.NET Website Project using WCF Service[NetTcp] (both in c#) for web-farm (for website) and NLB Load balancing (for service). I would like to configure following options for same.
NetTcpBinding.maxConcurrentCalls, NetTcpBinding.ListenBacklog and NetTcpBinding.MaxConnections
Note: During single machine configuration when I changed value of NetTcpBinding.ListenBacklog and NetTcpBinding.MaxConnections in WCF Service project to more that 10, which is default value. I got exception. When I changed this value in Website it was working fine. Due to this I had to keep in default configuration. Not sure why this is the case. Following reference gives idea how to configure in given environment but does not tell how to go about it. Ref: [URL] Update: Let me simplify a bit. Lets say I have following configuration.
2 IIS servers in Web Farm.
3 WCF Service Servers (NetTcp) in NLB
Default config. for single instance.

NetTcpBinding.maxConcurrentCalls: 16
Now what will be my configuration setting in this environment. Will it be same as above or will be as follows.

I have an asp.net 2.0 website. I have an appsetting in the web.config to point to which environment I am in (Dev, QA, Production). Each environment has it's own web reference for calling web services to get data.I currently have all 3 web references added to the project at the same time and manually change the name of the current environment I want to use. Is there a way I can use the appsetting environment variable I have setup to decide which web reference to use? Does anybody have an example or can point me in the right direction to get started?

In my .net 2.0 application, i have used export / import excel option. In local, its working perfectly but in server i am getting the below errors,

When I implement Custom web control inheriting ASP.NET Menu Ajax is not working. I try to Override Render method and generate Li's rather than table.I try to use Control Adapters, but when I am not using adapters for some pages ithe base adapter is generating just hyperlinks with span. I do not want this way. So I can not use these.
