Controls Inside Update Panel And JQuery Form Look And Feel Plugin
Aug 19, 2010
I have a problem with Updating Form Element Look and Feel under Update Panel Control. I Used Uniform JQuery Plugin to shape form controls such as DropDown. it works very well in a ASP.net form but i used an update panel to generate CheckboxList Items when user selects a dropDownList Item. The picture Below Shows form Look and Feel: but when I Select a Category from list to update the UpdatePanel Template and updating CheckBoxes the uniform style removes from controls located inside update panel: I call uniform function above the form:
I have a gridview Control. In that control I need to show the headers when gridview is scrolling verticall. I tried your post from here [URL].... It's working in page loads. When I try to click any other buttons it's not working(it's showing all the records. I mean It's not scrolling). I have Add, Delete and reset buttons.
I have this label that i want to fadeOut after button event clicked. I am using a MasterPage. And the Script Manager is declared on MasterPage. In Defaulst.aspx i have:
At first I had implemented the following Code for Jquery Validation. URL....It is working fine without UpdatePanel. But with UpdatePanel the Error messages are showing then also Page PostBack occured.
I created a .NET user control to work as a DropdownCheckbox and added Jquery to give the sliding and hide effects. The code is as below:
[Code]....
This control works fine in a normal page, but once I put it inside an update panel it doesn't work. Is there a work around or simply I can't use JQuery inside update panel?
I want to validate some asp.net textboxes with the jQuery Validation plugin found at[URL], but it appears that the elements must be between a form tag. If I have just a couple elements, I would hardly call that a form, so I would rather not have them wrapped inside a form element. Is there a way around this? Also, if I have two buttons on the form, a cancel and a submit button and I want the form only to validate when the submit button is clicked, but not the cancel button, how is this accomplished?
I have a page with three update areas, Create, Edit, and Delete. The controls that do these three functions are inside separate update panels so when I'm doing Create, I only fill controls inside that updatepanel. Problem is I'm using asp validation controls on all the controls in the three areas. Therefore, when I press the "Go" button in the Create UpdatePanel, the validation fails on the empty controls in the other two area. I hope I'm explaining this well. The behavior I would like to see is that only the controls contained in the updating panel would be validate.
have update panel that content check box, textbox, 3 DropDownList with CascadingDropDown extender. When I checked the checked box it should do a AsyncPostBackTrigger and it is working ok but the problem that if I select any thing from DropDownLists then check the box it would clear the DropDownLists after doing AsyncPostBackTrigger for the the check box.
any advice how to separate these controls inside update panel for doing AsyncPostBackTrigger??
I've created a multiple uploadfile user control - upload_multiple_files.ascx:
[Code]....
which has an update panel ID = up_upload_multiple_files this user control will be placed inside a modalpopupextender. My question is when I click in any button AddFile, RemvFile, Upload there's a postback so the page is reloaded and the modalpopupextender disapears Is there a way to to troubleshoot this?
I am trying something different for me and trying to use controls without a lot of mods but that is going out the window already.Anyway I have an update panel with a dropdown which selects query data for datalist1. (works perfect)
Inside datalist1 I want to link a field to the query in datalist2 which I have but not correct to what I want. (kinda works)
Once selected it should display the datalist2 items which have a link to a file displayed in a new window. (datalist2 works)
The way I have it now the link in datalist1 uses a query string and refreshes the page not just use the update panel and I then lose the display in datalist 1.
I have a literal inside each datagrid item. When the datagrid binds I set the literal equal to a small javascript script (a third party source). It works great. when I update my update panel the javascript is lost. I know this is a known issue. From googling they recommend you use:
ScriptMananger.RegisterStartupScript
However this renders the javascript at the bottom of the page. I need it inside my datagrid items. Is there a way that I can register my javascript to my literal control?
So as we anvigate between contnet pages i would like to have so nice JS effects, like loading icons, non page refresh.
from what i can understand i will not be able to dynamicly load the content pages using Jquery and this results in a page flash as new pages are renderd.
I could change the conent pages into user controls, how can i use jquery to load these dynamicly or use a update panel.
Hello all i have this little issue getting this to work, i have a dropdownlist in asp.net inside a formview and jquery cant find the control im guessing because its inside a form, this is what i got and it works on another page without a formviewi get this errorName 'Country' is not declared
I'm creating an ASP.NET Control which has a property collection for Columns which the user can edit in the Property Collection Editor..
In most circumstances this works fine, the collection can be edited in the designer and the appropriate tags are added inside the control in the ASPX file.
It works fine when
My control is added to the form
[Code]....
My control is added inside an Update Panel
[Code]....
[Code]....
However, if My control is inside a Content Placeholder which is inside an Update Panel, it fails to work as it should. In this scenario, when the Columns collection is edited in the designer, if you then switch back to Source view, the Columns collection is emptied. I have to save the aspx page before switching back to Source view for the changes to be kept.
[Code]....
how to get around this problem? Is there something I may have missed?
Is there any solution to update asp.net gridview without postback and withput update panel? or update partial page without update panel? for example with jquery.
I am using a jQuery Star Rating plugin to provide rating feature inside a List-view control. The control is placed inside an update panel. The 'rating' appears for each record List-view. Below is the code.
Function for converting asp:Linkbutton to "5 star rating"
I applied Panel horizontal scroll to my application. I did so in the code behind since I did not want to show the "scroll slider" till I had filled the GridView. It was working fine.
Now I have added UpdatePanel and UpdateProgress to my Gridview and the Panel horizontal scroll does not show and the GridView columns run outside the Panel.Modified mark up code:
I could put the Panel scroll attribute in the mark up code and it works this way, but it does not give the right "touch and feel" when the GridView is empty the first time (I prefer not see the scroll attribute till I have filled the GridView the 1st time).
