without changing the position of the Field 2 in the report design... i need this cause the data in Field 1 is different for each user and i need the Field 2 to have a smaller font size than the Field 2 so i cant use formula since formula only allow 1 font size.

View 1 RepliesI am using vs 2008 and sql server 2005. I am using Ajax Editor and storing the value in the DB in HTML tags.
Example:
<span style="color: #33ff66; font-weight: bold">Test Value</span>.
Now I want to display this html tags in crystal rerport. I have selected text Interpretation as HTML in crystal report. But it gives me the value as "Test Value". But not formatted value like "Test Value". I mean it not does apply HTML styles to the data whereas its printing only the datas taking away the HTML tags.
I have problem with displayed html code in crystal reports. I use Crystal reports 2008 version 12.0.0.549 My report ignore more html tags(table, ul-li...). My html code is from db.

Repeater data rendering problem

i encircled in color red the part where i assign the 'content' as you can see above.here EXAMPLE of code in my repeater that populate a <td>(inserting data FROM my database) from my TableField('content')

the part that i encircled in the image above was the data on my tableField named--> 'content'.
The idea was to show not the whole content but to show Only some part of it. example is to show only the 1st 300chars or 100 words.
i tried this code which shows the fist 1-100 chars. [Code]....
Problem is the data i stored in the TableField('content') has other html tagsExample my Tablefield('content') has the following data.

.string.tosubstring(1, 100) to make it work.I use the code below temporarily to generate the 'content' as showed in the image above. i limit the height of the lable to 100px which does the trick. but i know its not a good method thats why im trying to look for other methods.

How to integrate this report with the web application.
We have quite a few reports which were developed earlier in Crystal Reports 8.5. We are now planning to use these reports in our web application developed in VS 2008 (C#).
What dlls are needed for calling 8.5 in the application and how should they be added to the application while shipping it to the client?
They are also struggling to get the code running. Would also need the code to call the report with parameters.

On this sample it has only one method and based on the username and password mataches it provides access. As like this there are plenty of web methoad's in my webservice and i don't want to check the username and password on all the methoads. instead i wanted to checkonce and provide access to all the methods.
I'm new to Crystal Reports and am just trying to add some simple reports to my web application. In the non-report pages I've been using SqlDataSources to retrieve data from the database and would like to do the same for the report pages. I saw a tutorial that indicated I could do this by explicitly setting the data source for the report in the Page_Load callback of the ASPX page as shown below:

Is there a way to create "bound" fields w/o a database, since I'll be specify the database at runtime? Or is there a way to create the ".rpt" file w/ unbound fields, that get "bound" at runtime?Or is there a better way to do this altogether?
