DataSource Controls :: Cube Is Not Updated Properly Through Automated Job
Mar 18, 2010
We have a SQL agent job tied to an SSIS package that process does an Update process on the dimensions and a full process on the Facts. In the morning the cube is showing that it is processed but the new data is not present. When it is manually run the SSIS package, it seems to work fine. Basically there is job having two steps, one is to update the BI Cube and next step is to update dimensions and facts. This jobs runs perfectly without any error, but first step executes as per the expectation and second fails to update with latest data. If we try to manually run the SSIS Package of the second step it perfectly updates with the latest data.
I have an ASP.NET 3.5 Web Site. The application has to pass the IBM Rational AppScan before we can push to production.
I am getting the error: Severity: High Test Type: Application Vulnerable URL: http://mytestserver/myapp/login.aspx Issue: session identifiers is not updated
I am having a problem with partial postback through update panel, Update panel is not working properly in my asp.net app with IE8. But app works fine if i switch to compatibility mode of IE8.
I have dataset which is called at page load event. Also every time i clicked on refresh it will call refresh function where it store updated values from database.
Now I want only updated fields row and want to store into datatable or another dataset.
I dont want to cmp each and every iteration of the dataset. I used Getchanges() of dataset but not working.
I want to get the most recent Replies that is part of the Article
"Article.Replies" gets all the replies
So now I want to Order by Replies.Created by descending And then just take the first one from which i can get the members username fine. Im having a syntax problem with doing the orderby descending and by picking the first.
i have a vb.net application that contains and MDF file that holds 2 tables, when i execute an SQL update command it executes fine and the data are updated only in cache, so when i clean my solution the updated data disappears ( database gets back to its original state ) and does not actullay commit in the tables.
A ListBox is being filled from the database, from a SQLDataSource. Im setting the parameters in its _Selecting event. Except when it is done getting its new Data, the ListBox isn't updated with this new data. Eventhough i rebind my ListBox to the DataSource.
Is there a way I can automatically update a 'Date' column in my database table to the current date whenever any cell in that record is updated?I've started looking into table triggers a little bit and I'm wondering whether I can do it using this?
I'm trying (poorly I might add) to set up a select statement and due to my noobishness I simply have not found a way to do it RIGHT. Then again - I'm probably starting entirely wrong - but I've gotta' learn somewhere.I'm attempting to track product usage (think mild inventory tracking). In the system, I have independent parts and builds (combination of independent parts) - each has its own SQL table. Each time a "build" is completed, I want to update my part inventory with an updated count of that item.
I have the below code in my project..however its giving me an error on the update(bolded line)..please help me on this..
Private Sub ChangePassword1_ChangedPassword(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ChangePassword1.ChangedPassword lblTempPassword.Text = ChangePassword1.NewPassword.ToString CustomerName.Text = CType(Session("UserName"), String) Dim FV1Updobjconn As Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection FV1Updobjconn = New Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection() FV1Updobjconn.ConnectionString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("ASPNETDBconnectionString1").ConnectionString FV1Updobjconn.Open() Dim dtUpdating As New Data.DataTable() Dim sqlUpdating As String = "UPDATE [SuperAdmin] SET [TempPasswd]= @SU2TempPasswd, [TempPwd]=@CU2TempPwd WHERE ([CustomerName] = [@CU2CustomerName])" Dim cmdUpdating As New Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand(sqlUpdating, FV1Updobjconn) cmdUpdating.Parameters.AddWithValue("@SU2UserId", UserIDValue.Text) cmdUpdating.Parameters.AddWithValue("@SU2TempPasswd", lblTempPassword.Text) cmdUpdating.Parameters.AddWithValue("@CU2TempPwd", False) cmdUpdating.ExecuteNonQuery().... I get an error here saying..INVALID COLUMN "CU2CustomerName" ' Dim adUpdating As New Data.SqlClient.SqlDataAdapter(cmdUpdating) ' adUpdating.Fill(dtUpdating) ' Get the values needed to be passed on ' CtSUCompanyName.Text = dtUpdating.Rows(0)("CompanyName").ToString() ' CtSUCatPurch.Text = dtUpdating.Rows(0)("CategoriesPurchases").ToString() FV1Updobjconn.Close() End Sub
I am able to dynamily bind my grid to the cube based off the facillity I have selected. Now, if a facility has multiple cubes, I want the users to switch between the two cubes dynamicly, so I have created a drop down list showing their cubes and the ones that they can select. Currently I'm been trying several things in order to "rebind" the data but they don't seem to be working, so I figured I would attach my code to see if anyone Had a good idea.
If I make the cube change then switch back over to change facility and then back to the page, the new cube will load. So I have to find a way to do it in the one step rather then have them navigate to another page and then back again. Perhaps auto navigate them to a page and have that page send them back etc... Anyway here is the code: I first bind the data via the page_prerender call
[Code]....
Then the code drops down into the LoadCube(FacilityID) sub routine
[Code]....
Then here is the setup for the subroutine that will call the page load/ should change the cube to the correct cube.
how to present a .cube created in BI Development Studio as part of a .aspx page? Windows Server 2008 hosting the site using IIS 7. The SQL server and the management studio and the BI Development Studio used to create the .cube are on the same windows server. Am using Visual Studio 2010 Premium to develop for .NET Framework Verison 4. Using an impersonation account to control access to the db.
I have a class with many properties - strings, booleans, etc. This class was created from Entity Framework.
Now I want to quickly create the controls for the properties. I dont care about linking the controls to an object - I can do this later. I just find it a pain to create 50+ controls on the webpage when the class could be used to create a 'template'.
I have two pages for different companies with nearly the same ASPX markup and code-behinds (main alterations include certain fields from the same table being read-only in one and editable in another), #1 has a Select (for populating the DetailsView) and Update while #2 has Insert, Select and Update. #2's Insert and Update functions are not operating while #1's are just fine... I've gone through optimizing #2's codebase and I for the life of me cannot figure out why it's not functioning properly. What follows is #2's markup and codebehind for the relative functions accessed:
using vb.net/asp.net 2005 and SQL Server 2005 In my vb.net code I am setting the select statement for SqlDataSource1 and after that I am setting the DatasourceID for my gridview called grdGV (see below). However no rows are being displayed in the grid and the Rows.Count that I am printing out is 0. But when I taked the SqlDataSource1.SelectCommand printed out in my response.write statement below and query this in my SQL database I see 2 records being returned. So I am very puzzled why the database will return 2 records but the same exact query that is set in the SqlDataSource and then bound to the grid does not return 2 records?
I have also checked the DataSource.ConnectionString and it matches the database I am using.
Would like to present a .cube built in SSAS in an aspx page. Using Visual Studio 2010 for development. SQL Server and MS Analysis Server are running on remote 2008 server. I'm new to aspx and .net, can someone get me started?
I had created a cube in SSAS. After creation my data in Fact table is updated. Now my cube still shows old data. How to refresh data in a cube automatically
I've managed to render TreeView using custom made Hierarchical Datasource based on Linq queries on self referencing table. Rendered output looks well but... Every Node in NodeCollection has the same index = 0. Therefore when I click on any collapse button - the whole tree Collapses. In generated html every node has the same id = MainContent_TreeView1n0 I suppose n0 should increment to n1 n2 n3 and so on.
