I'm trying to auto-populate a listbox of zip codes from a database table state_zipcode_plans based on the state a user selects from the previous listbox. I'm getting the error: Must declare the scalar variable @state_code.
I need to populate a listbox with queries from 2 sql tables, but I can only see how to populate it with 1 datasource.
Do I need to do some hand coding? If so, where should I put it?
I'd also like to add some text items to the listbox so I could say populate the listbox with a query, plus an "other" option, so that if "other" is selected, a textbox will appear that will let the user specify a new item.

I'm creating a user control that enables users to search AD and add the selected names to a list (which is used to send mail lateron).
The problem is that the search results end up in the Listbox but all as the string "System.DirectoryServices.ResultPropertyValueCollection" in stead of the actual values.

A ListBox is being filled from the database, from a SQLDataSource. Im setting the parameters in its _Selecting event. Except when it is done getting its new Data, the ListBox isn't updated with this new data. Eventhough i rebind my ListBox to the DataSource.

When I execute the sproc using the following code db.GET_TRAININGS(userID).GroupBy(s=>s.COURSE_TITLE); I get back an IGrouping container where the course title is the key and contains 2 GET_TRAINING_RESULT elements. Then I bind using rptCourses.DataSource=trainings; then databind(),etc.What I'm trying to do is have the parent repeater show the course titles and the nested repeater show the modules for that course for the particular logged in user. Basically trying to turn a flat piece of data into heirchical data.The stored procedure returns the following SQL Columns Course_Title, Module_Path, Module_Name,Sequence. The sproc code is below:
I am trying to create a multi column listbox by combining fields in Linq select statement, as Let Name = Last + First. The problem is how to pad the Last column with spaces as you would in SQL using REPLICATE so when I bind the listbox to the data, it looks like two columns.
I am designing a program that will let me enter the name of an item to swap and adds the swap to an array list when a button Add is pressed. Once the item is added to the array list a Sub Procedure should be called which displays the contents of the array list in a list box.
The system will also allow me to remove items from the array list using a Remove button
followed by updating array list.
I have done some part which puts item into the listbox1 which i named lstSwapList.I would need some assistance on the Sub Procedure to display the Value or Description on the other listbox2 which i have also named lstContent,if a value is selected from the listbox1.
I would also want to know how to update the Listbox content,However i hv added a sample of the way i guess it may be.
Any complete solution from anybody on the Sub Procedure and the Update Swap procedure will be greately appreciated.

I can select IQueryable<object-type> data fine from a data repository class and push it into a list type MVC view, but how do I do this and group that data - I don't seem to be able to find any examples on this.
I have two list boxes, one has a list of available users (about 1500 items) and the other is blank. There is a button to add the seleted items from the first list box to the second one. Both of these listboxes are within an update panel and for some reason it takes over 20 seconds for the items to show up in the second listbox.
Is this normal? Is there an alternate, faster way of doing this?

I have been trying to figure out how to use <asp:requiredfieldvalidator> with ValidationExpression but am having a difficult time understanding the syntax of ValidationExpression. I'd like to make sure one textbox's number (1-12) is equal to or higher than the other textbox's (1-12) number. I'm moving itmes from one ASP.NET ListBox control to another ListBox control from client-side. It works on the client-side but when I tried to count items in destination ListBox on the server-side, it's always nothing. Below, is the jQuery code used to add/remove items from ListBox control.

I know that we can add/remove items from ListBox from server-side. But I'd like to get it done from client-side. Why there isn't anything in the destination ListBox when counting the items from the code-behind, eventhough the items are added from the client-side already.

I have a detailsview which is used to input data into an SQL database. Some of the fields contain drop down menus which are populated from the database.
I also have a form that allows the user to select mutiple values from a listbox (populated from an sql database) by moving the required items from one list box containing all the available items into a second one containing the selected items. There is also a text box which is used to filter on the available items. When this is passed through to a stored procedure to be put into the database, it is passed as a comma delimited string containing all the selected values.
This works fine on a separate form, however I would like to include it in one of the fields of the detailsview. This creates a BC30451: Name 'ListBox1' is not declared error. I have looked for hours on the internet to try and resolve this but cannot find what I need for how to declare the list for use within the detailsview.
