I am having crystal report nto my application. By using report document I am trying to export the report into pdf. But while trying that I am getting the exception "property evaluation failed" but the report is exporting. I want to know how to avoid that exception. So far I googled for that exception, I got some idea about calling response.end internally. But yet its not clear to me. I am giving some code sample here:

I have a code block that contains around 320 lines of code. Everything runs fine when i debug it until i reach the section that updates a sql datasource. I am using:

I have 38 lines of update parameters before i call the sqldscc.Update When i put a break point before the update parameters all the values are correct at the break point at the end all the values are "Property Valuation Failed"?. I'm not using any response.end, response.redirect or server.transfer

I am usig ADO.NET to fetch a Dataset and then exporting the data to excel using Response.Write with response type set as excel. However when I run the application I am getting the following error in the browser."Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click theRefresh button, or try again later."Anybody has any idea on why do we get this error and any pointers to resolve this error? By the way the same code does works on another machine, it's just not working on few machines.

I've created a function that takes a datatable and exports it to excel by creating a Table.
When the file exported excel says "this file is in a different format than it's extension, do you wnat to open it anyway?". I'd like to get rid of this message if I can. and...There is an extra row at the top of the the excel file (row 0) and it's empty.

I've been working on this for a while and everything that I have read seems to tell me to use the same setup. I have been able to export the data to an xls file on my local C drive but that won't work when hosted on the server as I'll want users to export their data to their local machines as well... I guess the issue I'm having (or at least what I think am having) has to do with my response.end() function. I'll give you my code that works and the one that doesn't... I have a Telerik Radgrid i export the data in RadGrid with gridexporting property of radgrid in Excel 2003 i.e .xls but the problem is that my some client's computers have excel 2003 and some have 2007 when this exported radgrid excel data going to be opened in 2007 this shows some message that due to .xls file going to opened in 2007 but after clicking ok button on message its allowed me to open the file, i just wanted to stop this message.

I am trying to write a bit of code that will export the current contents of a gridview to an excel file on the local system. I've looked at several examples on how to do it and implemented it. However, i am unable to get the gridview to export the data.
Here's the basics of what i am doing:
I'm using httpcontext.current.response to specify the file contents and filename. creating Stringwriter and htmltextwriter objects.
then rendering the table into the htmlwriter then rendering the htmlwriter to the response.
however, regardless of how large or small the table i am working with is, i keep getting the following error:

I have a web page with a gridview control and a button for Exporting to Excel
I get following error when exporting to Excel.

Clicking Yes opens the file. I would like to avoid showing the above error to the users.

I've got an .rdlc report which I print from my .net app (C# Visual Studio 2005), where I use a RemoteReportPrinter object. I give it as parameters the server name, report name, report parameters, etc. Works fine. My question is, I would live to do an analagous export of that report to Excel. Set it up exactly the same, but have it export to Excel rather than print, probably using some other type of object than RemoteReportPrinter.

Now the same code when I copy it in my project having masterpage . there is no compiler error but it is genereating excel file withno data in it but in fact there is data in the grid view at runtime.
