Forms Data Controls :: Behind Code C# Create Gridview?

I now need to create a Gridview using C# code behind and using PlaceHolder to render in ASPX page. So far everything is Okey, pager and data inside database also can pull out to gridview. But the problem is no sorting function here, below is my code. GridViewTemplate .cs this class is for add data into Gridview ItemTemplate and HeaderTemplate, I modify from here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.templatefield.templatefield.aspx

to manually (via code) add a row to a GridView and then set it in edit mode immediately? I know how to set a row in edit mode via simply doing the following:

The GridView is currently binded to a generic list.
am using an Asp.net web application with C# code and my requirement is to create a Gridview programmatically with Auto generate columns false and i need to add textboxex and dropdown list boxes and Search buttons also in the gridview.
i need to customize the controls of Gridview columns and rows.

i am trying to create a hyperlink field in my gridview from code behind. each link shoudl display the text "Open" and needs to be bound to the column [Request_ID] so that when the link is clicked it will send this request ID. i have created the following code:

I have data in my database and I want one column of the database to be shown as a ckeckbox so the user can select and deselect it.

In one of my application, I have around 2000 records which i am displaying in gridview with normal paging.
Now I want to change this paging facility and would like to show a "more" button at the footer(just like [URL] has). The moment user clicks it, the next set of data will be retreived. This will go on till all the records are fetched.
I am sure it must be a way to do this but I don't know how. I have a gridView2 that is called onto the page from a GridView1. I have enabled select on the GridView2 and need to get the values inside the cells. I thought about using SelectedDataKey but I need a way to select the row in the GridView using code.
The code inside the PostBackUrl=' and ImageUrl=' are working fine. I tried to do the same, with the code inside the DataNavigateUrlFormatString=' but it is giving me a hard time. It is not working.
