Forms Data Controls :: Comparing New Row To Previous Row In Datalist?

I have a Datalist in which i m entering values to form a shoping cart. so when a select the check box the respective value goes in into the datalist and now if user again select that checkbox and submit i cant to check that is their any previous enrty with same name because it is a unique row in the datalist.

this is creating an error if if newly added row is already in datalist...so plz find me a way to check the new row with already present row and i have also set the primary key to table also.

I'm using a wizard control with 4 steps, when I use the previous button to navigate back to the previous step the page reloads but at the bottom of the page.Instead of showning the whole of the page, the user views the footer of the site and the previous button and next button.I'm sure there is a very simple answer to this but I just can't figure out how to get the page to reload to the top.

I have two tables along with some of its attributes as follows:
ProjDetails: ProjID, StartDate, EndDate
ActDetails: ActID, AStartDate, AEndDate,
What i would like to do is to compare the AStartDate with both StartDate and EndDate which will be done in a DetailsView both insert and edit mode. This is to make sure AStartDate is within both those dates. (Same goes for AEndDate)
At first i though of extracting the StartDate and EndDate from the database and then make the comparison. But i am having problem because both StartDate and EndDate are data type "date" as follows:

I have a GridView Column "Gender". After displaying datagrid, I m selecting dropdown which is not in datagrid.
Dropdown list is in the same page. When I select dropdown Gender as male or female, I have to validate that Gender against GridView Column. If that Gender Exist in GridView, I have to display message.

I have a gridview, which on the row data bound method that inserts a row when comparing values on a particular field. If the two values are different, a new row is inserted, if not no row is inserted. This coding is working as a grouping gridview, and is working correctly. However, I have problem, and problem is counting the rows between each group, which I want to display in my blank row between each group, the value of which I am holding in a hiddenfield.
When I try to do it, the first group doesn't show the result, but is displayed on the next group. I am pretty sure that I am doing something wrong. My approach is that if the value between the last row and the existing row are different, then the value is one, on the next row data bound event, if the values are the same then the value is increased by one, else the value is one because it is a new group. Here is my code:

The problem is that i have a search page. Access Database holding the information. I have a Access Datasource on the page with a Datalist to show the data. I need to find a way on setting it up to says "Sorry no results found" when the is no results. i am unsure on how to do this though.

I have a condition to check weekdays with a particular time corresponding
to that day that were added to a grid view using a drop down list and two text boxes.
The drop down list has weekdays and textboxes has from and to time.
I have to verify a condition to avoid duplication of same day with same time should not occur in the table twice.
(i have used time picker jquery to get time.)

I am dealing with dynamic fields in a for loop and now I need to retrieve the values that are being typed in the dynamic fields, any idea how can I do that? 2)also when I click the submit button, upon postback, the dynamic fields have gone missing, have been trying to slove that, but i did not, anyone knows how to deal with this? kinda urgent :x
3) and How do you compare the 2 dynamic fields? Am building a Form for out intranet that runs on ASP.NET and C#, it is to be a survey from a SQL database. I have the connections setup can pull informations/Questions from the database. I am having a problem with setting up radio buttons within a datalist, ive never done this and i know they require unque names.
It is to be 4 radio buttons per question where only one can be select, i know how to group just not via a datalist with unique names

i have a datalist . that is contains 7 columns in repeat layout .when i have more from 7 columns , datalist style is normal .but when i have smaller than 7 columns ! data list style is not normal,
because there are some empty columns without specific schema.
How i can make a datalist > when i have 1 columns in my datalist my first layout width be 100% ;
and dont show some empty layout ?

There is two checkbox group which have same datasource, so in both case same checkbox are showing and also same event is firing for both. Here is the event code

In the gridview_RowDataBound event I am trying to find out the values from previous row but its giving me an exception. does anyone know how to do this? I need to do this because if the value is the same then I need to hide certain columns.

I am using a Gridview binded to a LinqDataSource that represents a database view. The gridview paging is enabled. When navigating from page 1 to page 2, it displays the right count of rows in this page (assume pagesize is 10 and page 2 should have 4 rows only to have total of 14 rows in the view; the datasource), however, it populates wrong data (from the previous page). On the contrary, when I disable paging, everything works ok.

when i click the button Show child item. all the child item are displaying except one. for first child item not displaying, but one of parent items is displaying inside child grid.
it seems like previous parents data is loading to one of child record. How can i prevent that?

I have a Timer and a GridView who pulls info from the database every X seconds.Every time I query the database the field 'Comments' is replaced with whatever is on the database (since it's bound to it). I'd like to keep my previous value and keep adding into my Label the subsequent values queried from the database.
For instance, first time I query I get a value of "1" in the Gridview. Now someone changes the database row and next time I query it I have a value of "2". Well, I would like to concatenate the last value queried with the previous one and so on.
So at this point the GridView should show "1" and "2". Here is the piece of code I am talking about:
