Nov 23, 2010I am adding table rows dynamically, after I return from a post back, these rows disappear.
Is there a way to preserve these rows and add them back on page load?

Apr 19, 2010I need to let my user add rows dynamically to a table, and after doing some research, it seems the best way to do this is through a GridView bound to a DataTable. However, I'm really struggling adding dropdownlists to the datatable, and this showing them in the gridview.
Here's the design I want:
ddl1 | ddl2 | ddl3 | ddl4 | ddl5 | ddl6 | ddl7 | textbox
When the user opens the form, he or she will be presented with one row. ddl2 etc will be populated when ddl1 is selected etc etc. When appropriate, the textbox will be enabled allowing the user to enter a comment (this is to report errors, and since users are, at best, not to trust to write the same thing twice, I need to use ddls.
Now comes the question - how do I add a ddl to the datatable? I've tried several ways, but I cannot get them added.

Now what I want , i.e. after gridciew binds records, suppose there are 4 rows are bounded to gridview, I want to send all rows data through mail, but in my html format there are fixed rows. I want to add rows according to throws which gridview having.

In edit mode I can see the DropDownList and I'm able to select an Item from the DropDownList but not able to access the SelectedValue in RowUpdating Event. ddl is the DropDownList that is added dynamically. And the default Textbox that is in the Edit mode is set to invisible. So there are actually two controls in the same cell in edit mode(TextBox is invisible).

If I use the above statement I'm getting NullException.This is Probably because its a BoundField. Is there a way I can access the DropDownList 'ddl' SelectedValue?

I am adding linkbutton dynamically (actually above snippet tells what I am actually doing, in reality TableRow and TableCell are added dynamiccally). My problem is, I am not setting height of linkbuttuon which will added dynamically. I have no idea what text I have to add to linkbutton.
What I want, after all the link buttons are added, iterate through each added lin button, get the height of each linkbutton, store the max height, then re-iterate throgh the link buttons and set the height of each link button to max height.

The only valid way I seem to be able to reference the query variable "result" is if I use the attribute "SingleOrDefault" but unfortunately this forces my query to return just the one single set of data for every unique primary key UserId value from my query, where I require the unique data attached to each different UserId value to be returned, how can I achieve this using linq? Note, I am passing the UserId value into my method from a public variable which is also below.

Treeview nodes can be checked. I recreate this control on page load event, but still CheckedNodes is empty if checked nodes were added dynamically (added on demand).

i am using above code to generate dynamicaly textbox into grid view. I have 3 fix coloumns from database which i fetch at start of code.
Then i assigned it to datatable. in datatable according to Listbox item count i added more coloumn as per listbox items count.
then that datatable i i gave as datasourse to gridview. Now i inserted dynamicaly textbox to gridview in respective coloumn.
But after refreshing page all textboxes disappears....

In some cases the "paid" column is ticked and in other not.
I want to run a select query that only gets the rows where PAID is not Ticked. insead
of retrieving all.

I created a simple table with the header row already in there. Through a C# script, I want to be able to dynamically add rows to this HTML table. Is this the right way of thinking in ASP.NET? If so, how can I do this? I'm sure I'll need an "Add" button, which adds a new row to the table, with editable fields, and a "submit" button which adds some stuff to a database. Basically just a rundown of how this is done would be ever so helpful. Also if anyone knows any good tutorials or websites
