i have gridview with page index 1,2,3,....... & having 5 records per page with 2 columns. i want to check checkbox from one page & also from 2nd page. for ex when i click on 2 checkboxes in 1st & change pageindex, again select one checkbox & again change pageindex to 1st then 2 checkbox in 1st page must be checked i.e their value must persist.

Im using the following code to get the gridview rows that are checked and then add the values to the database.Its all works correctly unless apart from when i check the row at the top of the gridview where when i check the checkbox it doesnt even change to checked so i cannot add that row into the database.

I have a page on which everything is loaded dynamically.
There is a Gridview (AutoGenerateColumns=true) and in the RowDataBound I check every column for a boolean datatype. If found I add a checkbox (autopostback=true) to the cell and register the CheckedChanged event.
The problem is, that I only get the CheckedChanged event, if I reload the grid in Page_Load:

But this is very expensive and causes that the db request will be executed twice. If I changed the code to what I want:

I get no CheckedChanged event.
Is there a possibility to get:
- Adding a Checkbox in RowDataBound
- Only "LoadGrid()" if it is no PostBack
- Getting the CheckedChanged event of the relevant row
If I check the header checkbox all the items are getting inserted If i deselt some of the items its not taking it.
If I deselect some items it must not insert inot the checkbox

I was trying to find out if there are any check boxes checked in the datagrid, if non of them is checked it should show me an alert to select atleast one.
