View 2 RepliesI'm not even sure if this is the correct approach for this -
I have a DB that stores information, as well as a location to where images are stored
ie ProductImage = ~/ProductImages/BulkRetail.JPG
I'm using a repeater to list all the products, which works fine for all the labels I use but not for the image location. I'm using something like this, but it doesn't work:
<asp:Image runat="server" ImageAlign="Left" ImageUrl='<%# Eval("ProductImage") %>' />
I use image control in mypage that I bind it from database and I define that if there isn't any image in database it do Image1.visible=false
In chrome and firefox it worked correctly but in IE show like below
What should I do?
how can i store image into database and view it in grid view?

View 3 RepliesI have a field in a details view shown below
<asp:BoundField DataField="DTMON_F" HeaderText="Monday Hours From: " InsertVisible="False"
ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="HOURS" Visible="false" />
<asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Monday Hours From: " SortExpression="HOURS">
<EditItemTemplate>
<uc1:TimePicker ID="tpMondayHours" runat="server"/>
</EditItemTemplate>
<InsertItemTemplate>
<%-- <uc1:TimePicker runat="server" ID="tpMondayHours" />--%>
<asp:TextBox ID="txtMondayHours" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("DTMON_F") %>'></asp:TextBox>
</InsertItemTemplate>
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:Label ID="lblMondayHours" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("DTMON_F") %>'></asp:Label>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
Before "DTMON_F" is binded to the view I want to cut the string that is returned...Where and how might I do this?
I have a vb.net page that has a editable detailsview. When a user wants to erase the data for a field, they highlight the data, and delete/backspace over it, and click update. However, the original data is still saved. If they are replacing the current data with new data, that works fine and updates/saves correctly. This problem only happens when the current data needs to be removed.
View 6 RepliesI am using asp:image to bind image in datalist itemTemplate. but it does not bind i mean the image does not displayed. my source is:
<asp:Image ID="imgPhoto" runat="server" ImageUrl='<%#Eval("Images") %>' Width ="90px" Height ="100px"/>
i have a gridview, i have one images folder. in the database i have image path.
using that path i want to bind those images to gridview. but images are not displaying.
my gridvew code is.

void BindData()
{
DataSet ds =
new
DataSet();
ds = BusinessLogic.FetchDetails();
GV.DataSource = ds;
GV.DataBind();

}
when ever i debug the program dataset contains all the images. but those are not binded to gridvew.
I read your "Retrieve images using a file path stored in database in ASP.Net" article posted on June 18. And got the image in the gridview. I have made the "Auto generate select button - True" in gridview. On the click of the select button i want the image to be displayed in "Image" control and also the other details other thanĀ image to be diaplayed in textbox. I can get other details in textbox but cannot get image in "Image" control.
NOTE: I am not sure whether I need to use "Image" control available in the toolbox of VS2010.
I'm amazed that it took me minutes to figure out how to retrieve text from a specific SQL database record and display it on my aspx page using FormView---and yet days later I still can't figure out how to retrieve/display the corresponding database image...(I feel like I went to a fast food restaurant, received my burger and drink in minutes---but for the fries I'm told to leave the restaurant, drive to another county, and search for the granite boulder under which I am to find the next clue in the quest to get my fries.
I don't want to waste anybody's time---I do see that this issue has come up here before (but each solution seems more complicated than the previous one): clearest way (or your favorite past thread on this topic) to retrieve/display/edit binary image data using FormView?
I'm new in storing and displaying image to database.I have learn how to store image into my database from a site and seems like it work, and the image is store as binary data.Now i try to retrieve and store it, using a site as a reference
My problem is i follow everything but in the end it seems the gridview do work as it shown some data from the database but for the image, only show a small red cross "unable to show image" sign there.
My storing data and uploading image to database code (Just in case)

This is probably a really simple question but I have a gridview that is linked to a table in a database. But I have an imagefile stored in one of the columns in the table. The SqlDataSource links to the table an I can see the images when I test the query. I just can't see how to show the image in the gridview. All the example on the web show how to link to an image on the server and not that is downloaded from the server.

View 8 RepliesI have on a page a gridview that can be filtered with one text box. I set up the gridview to show select and wanted to then connect a details view so that when you selected a row the entire details would show up. When I run it I get this error. Data keys must be specified on GridView 'GridView1' before the selected data keys can be retrieved. Use the DataKeyNames property to specify data keys.

I use a DetailsView to update data using an object data source. Everything works fine except the date time values
following is a the code of the object datasource and the details view binding:

when data reach my BLL class to update the fields the project id and project Title have the expected binded values from the details view edit template textboxes but the date value is the value of the item tempate's label box (EVAL)
