Jan 12, 2011I'm using ASP.NET to have a panel that can expand downwards to a certain point, at which point the user can scroll within the panel, both vertically and horizontally (horizontally because one GridView has a lot of columns which would be impossible to display without horizontal scrollbars in the panel/div)Problem is, if I set the panel (asp:Panel control) that holds the GridView to have Scrollbars="Both", and have a max-height set on the panel, IE8 refreshes into compatibility mode. If I remove the max height, or have only vertical scrollbars, it works fine. Any workarounds for this?

I have surfed the web regarding the problems and almost applied all the things. I have no double forms tag. I found one solution to set UseSubmitBehavior="false". After this, it work but my text box controls lose its content. I am using framework 3.5.

Nov 10, 2010I m having GridView with scroll bars. I keep those in Update panel to update without postback when I click on Previous and Next buttons outside the Grid. Now, I drag the scroll bar down and select a row. The row is getting highlighted and works fine but the Scroll bars Goes Up. If I remove the update panel, scroll bar is not going up but next and previous button events are not working

In firefox my website could be seen very nice but in IE it is little bit unshiny and font size is bigger For the difference which I am talking about could be seen if your PC have both firefox and IE installed. (Just to indicate which input fields are invalid.) The below code works like a charm in FF and Safari, but fails in IE. I've narrowed the problem down to the :visible selector. AJAX :: Accordion Panes Not Working In Internet Explorer
Feb 24, 2010I am creating an accordion dynamically through aspx.cs file. There is a subaccordion inside each accordion pane. I am seeing that if there are 10 or more accordion panes in the root accordion, then I can only expand first 4 or 5 panes. Nothing happens when I click on other panes. This is happening in IE8, tried on three different machines. I don't see this problem with Mozilla, it can open as many panes as possible, I have tried with 20 panes in mozilla.

AJAX :: ControlToolkit TabContainer Control Not Working In Internet Explorer
Aug 2, 2012I am using Tabcontainer of AJAX Control Toolkit . The problem is that, i have 15 tabpanels. this tabs in three lines, first 5 in one line, second 5 tabs in second line,third 5 tabs in third line.
If I click first / six/fifteen'th tab means it shows the relevant tabpanel with data correctly.
Each tabs have three buttons like Save, Edit and Cancel
All three line's tabpanels works properly in Chrome and Firefox.
But in IE,
First line tabpanel's button work properly...
second and third line tabpanel's buttons is not work properly,
if I click the second and third line tabpanel's buttons means.. It didn't go to page load..
How can I do that??

C# - IIS Session Isolation / Internet Explorer Not Working In Windows Server 2003 Machine
Nov 10, 2010I am using ShDocVW.InternetExplorer class to spawn a new internet explorer object and to do some form filling stuffs(for some sharepoint works).It works fine in my own machine which has Windows 7 as the OS. But when I deployed the same thing in windows server 2003 machine, it does not pop up the internet explorer window. When I check the Task Manager, I could see a new iexplore process, but with Session ID = 0 (but session ID = 1 in windows 7). So, I see this is something regarding IIS Session isolation.So, is it possible to assign a ShDocVW.InternetExplorer instance to kind of a new System.Diagnostics.Process and achieve this task? Or can we start a new ShDocVW.InternetExplorer instance with session ID = 1?

Oct 3, 2010Two websites that are being developed by me is online in my office network. Our IT department has updated Internet Explorer and the view my websites is completely disturbed. Now we have Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702 In most of my pages the setting is that from top to bottom, in top there is a panel holding dropdown, textboxes and just under this panel there is another panel with gridview. When the pages load the first panel with the search controls are ok.
When i supplied search parameters then gridview resulted overlaping the above panel and it scrolls behind the above panel. When there is one record populates to gridview the whole gridview would not be seen but the count label shows one record.

Contract3.Tempon selected index change, if its contract or temp, then a text box appears where the user need to type in the contract expiry date-so changing from Perminent --> Contract text box appears- but when the internet explorer back button is clicked - the text box dissapears (which is fine) but the ddl does not change it still reads contract i wanted it to revert back to perminent.is there a solution to this problem?

when i browse the page with firefox and click on the input Request.Params["btnshoppingCart"] != null or Request.Form["btnshoppingCart"] != null is statisfied.
When i browse the same page with internet explorer 8 and click on the same input Request.Params["btnshoppingCart"] != null or Request.Form["btnshoppingCart"] != null is not satisfied. When i used the watch i saw that there is no key by the name of "btnshoppingCart" in either Request.Form or Request.Params if input is clicked from internet explorer. However when it is clicked from firefox there is value "shoppingCart" inside Request.Form and Request.Params against "btnshoppingCart" key. One more strange thing that i observed was that are two keys "btnshoppingCart.x" and "btnshoppingCart.y" inside both Request.Form and Request.Params whenver clicking is done from both internet explorer and firefox. This is happening against all inputs of type image irrespective if the input is present inside a html form or not. Forms are created like this

May 6, 2010I have a page that utilizes an IFrame to display another page within the first one. I am using ASP.NET 3.5 and when I click on a button to do a post back event, it causes Internet Explorer 7 to throw an error.
