I am changing a vb.net windows form program to browers application using asp.net and code behind vb.net. The form has a textbox for a date, currently when user clicks in the textbox a calendar pops up to force the user to select from the calendar. How do I do this using asp.net/code behind vb.net.

I have a problem on ASP.NET webpage for data input form. My form contains a TEXTFIELD(txtDateEntry) and a Dropdownlist (ddlRegistration).
dllRegistration should be populate its data base on date in txtDateEntry. I have added an image(imgCalendar) next to extfield(txtDateEntry) and attach javascript to load a Popup Calenday. In my page load(Register.aspx) I have added the script as below:

So I have tried both the Ajax Control Toolkit (which didn't work -- page didn't even display, got an error message about assemblies not registered.
AND implement use of the JQuery datepicker. Which I do have working OUTSIDE of FormView. Once I put it in FormView it doesn't display. Spent all day on this crap and have absolutely nothing to show for it but a bunch of code that doesn't do what I want it to....grrr...my inadequacies are irritating me (can you tell?)
Any help to get it working inside the Formview and bound to the Date field for my insertemplate. The FormVendorVisit is only used to insert the following fields: vendor_visit_id (identity / pk / not even visible on the formview inserttemplate), vendor_id, time_spent, date(this is where I am running into problems getting a popup calendar to select the date. My "ButtonInsert" in the formview takes care of the rest and works perfectly if I enter a date manually.

I display a bunch of data using a ListView. In the ListView, I insert a CheckBox control that allows the user to select the items he likes. View 7 Replies i am trying to do is set my page up so that when a user clicks on a row in the gridview a hidden checkbox is unchecked... i am new to asp.net but never thought something as simple like this could be so difficult to work out... i've been on it for around 5 weeks now, i started this on my first day of the website, and have actually designed and written the entire site while still trying to work this out... i first did this on the selectedindexchanged event:

I've been searching in all the forums, and websites for the last 4 hours without finding a solution for a problem that in the beginning I tought it was an easy one!!!This is my problem, I have a gridview with the following colums: select (link), Room Type (for hotels), and TotalThe total field Is a template field it has in the custom binding property a function: find_total(Eval("Room")) this function makes some calculation and returns the calculated Total value, and shows in the gridview without problems,The thing I cant do is: when the user clicks on the select link I want to get the text of the template field and put in a label control.
I tried, almost all the events of the datagrid, to reference the content of my template field but sometimes I receive a null value (seems that Im looking for the value before the find_total function has been executed) or I get an error "the index is out of range".I dont know how to approach this, I tought It has to be much easier, but Im very confused right now, if anybody knows how to do this
I am in a process of creating an advanced calendar for our time management system. One of the requirenments is to change the color of the dates when clicked by the user on the calendar. My pattern should go this way. One click on a date - Set the date cell border to "Yellow". Two clicks on a date - Set the date cell border to "Green". Three clicks on a date - Deselects it. I really have no idea how to implement this. Right now i can just get the dates selected in selecteddates collection but it does not dedect the clicks on the date. little background - The calendar is displayed as a popup and users currently can select multiple dates form the calendar. Once done they click on a save button to get the count of total dates selected. All the Yellow dates will be counted as 1/2 day.

I want to create a new line in a table when the user clicks on the button. the values for this new line will come from the Values (not visible content) of the drop box, the content of the text feild, the user ID that I should get from the connection and the current date... ie, I want do do a INSERT INTO table (userid, dropdown, text, date) values (how do I get the user ID from the session?, how do I get the value from the drop down?, how do I get the text from the text box?, how do I get the current date?)

I want to be able for the user to click the Select button, and then I want to populate the Literal control with some Data. I have it working, but I have to click the Select button twice to get the data to show. My code is below.

I have a DataGrid which has a Multiline TextBox. I only display 3 rows and the user can scroll down to see the rest of the data.
However I'd to open up a window, baloon, whatever every time the user hover the mouse over the TextBox area.
And when he moves the mouse out, the window should close automatically.
I am trying to make a Javascript Alert appear when someone clicks on a textbox that is part of a Gridview. the textbox is an Item template and I have an onclick="NotePopup()" in the TextBox properties. I am having trouble grabbing the correct ID of the text box, because it is nested inside a gridview. I have been looking around on Google for a solution but none of the responses are working for me. The gridview will have multiple rows, so each textbox that could potentially be clicked will have a different ID, is there any way to pass the correct ID to the Javascript, or have the Javascript function grab the correct ID?
I did use
var Control = '<%= GridView1.ClientID %>';
then cut and paste the ID from ViewSource of a textbox and append it to the Control Variable, to test out the popup and it does work
