Forms Data Controls :: TableAdapter Failed To Find Or Load The Registered Framework Data Provider

Dec 14, 2010

Currently using VS 2005 & MS SQL 2005 Server with a Windows 7 OS and I am unable to generate Update/Insert/Delete queries when using the TableAdapter wizard. I am able to create the Select statament. This is the error message that is displayed in the TableAdapter wizard on completion for each of the Update/Insert/Delete queries "failed to find or load the registered .net framework data provider"

I have seached the web but no one seems to have seen this same issue.

If you know what is causing this let me know. I didn't have this issue while running a XP or Vista OS.

Unable To Find The Requested .Net Framework Data Provider

the error i'm getting after moving the aspnetdb db for the login control from vs to my iis for testing, see below for how i made the move attach the vs2005/app_data db to the sql express studio, there you can add the myMachine/aspnet user to the sql security users and then the users for the db, and give it db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions. then make sure that both the aspnetdb.mdf and its aspnetdb_log.ldf files have r+w permission for the aspnet account. then copy both files to app_data directory under the application folder in iis.

the machine.config dbproviderFactory setting is

AJAX :: Client-side Framework Failed To Load

Nov 11, 2010

I wanted to make extensive changes to a project, so I created a copy of the project folder. In the new version, I renamed all of my namespaces and a few classes. Everything compiles and runs, however, I am getting this javascript error. 'ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load' and my 'Auto complete' text box no longer works. This error does not occur in the original project.

The HTML source between the original and the new project are identical, save for the few lines of code that throw this error. The web.config files are identical.

I got gzip working, but there are issues with IE. (works fine with FF and Chrome) Message: ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load. (and many other js related errors)

How can I prevent gzip compression on ie browsers ?? Other people who had similar issues enabled compression in IIS and that seems to solve the issue, but I can't do this on my discount machine...

This is what I use:

HttpApplication app = (HttpApplication)sender;
string acceptEncoding = app.Request.Headers["Accept-Encoding"];
Stream prevUncompressedStream = app.Response.Filter;
if (acceptEncoding != null && acceptEncoding.Length != 0)

Forms Data Controls :: GridView CustomWebControl Error For PageSizes Other Than 5/Failed To Load Viewstate

Mar 2, 2010

I'm developing a custom webcontrol from GridView.

I've run into this bizarre situation wherein I get the below error if I set page size other than 5 in the page using this control.

"Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request."

This GridView is a hierarchial type. I add a new GridView below each row in the webcontrol overriding OnRowDataBound.

If I set pagesize as 5 the paging works properly.

Error When Adding A ScriptManager To Page / Ajax Client-side Framework Failed To Load

Oct 23, 2010

I am using VS2010, .Net 4. I am trying to add a ScriptManager to my page, so I can reference an AJAX Enabled WCF Service. When I add the ScriptManager control to my page and view it - I get the error shown below. I have no clue how to resolve it. I get the error by simply putting the control on my page (not reference the WCF Service).

Error seen when "viewing source":

(script src="/ScriptResource.axd?d=cN6E-bUIIAhb0PYSsbqev2ndhi3W3ltVtHjrJ-T5yBfO3jQBEHWjU39PLAybm-JIxwU4s59EhJFweLHmABl1zA2yo8fKhHYHGS7RTy1fhECuWqXbMMy5aCuSlqHbfp3advQcwp11SqaDwkvU1YN6Bw2&t=ffffffffbd2983fc" type="text/javascript")(/script)

(script type="text/javascript")
//(![CDATA[
if (typeof(Sys) === 'undefined') throw new Error('ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load.');
//]])
(/script)

Actually, my problem is that I am not able to access the service. I am referencing it inside the ScriptManager and have the javascript code in place, but Firefox is reporting that it cannot find it. Says it is not defined. I do not know how to test this or determine where it is failing.

AJAX :: Microsoft Jscript Runtime Error Client-side Framework Failed To Load?

Feb 4, 2010

I have tried every single method in almost every post available on both Bing and Google. And I still get this error.I thought it was something in my website or web.config, so I opened up VS2008, selected to create a new ASP.NET Website and let it go..Here is the default.aspx page and web.config created by VS2008. Without modifying anything other than chaning the website properties to .NET 3.5 instead of .Net 2.0, I still get the error on this website when I hit F5. I have other websites with the ajax update panel and script manager on this server that work fine and have tried the web.config from them on a new project. But any new projects still do not work.I have verified that the settings for the working project as well as this new project in IIS are the same. Can anyone tell me why I am getting this error and theSys Undefined error?

Forms Data Controls :: FormView/GridView Back And Forth Causes "Failed To Load Viewstate"?

Jun 12, 2010

I have a FormView and a GridView connected to the same datasource inside of a MultiView where one view is for the grid and the other for the form. The GridView has selection enabled and when the user selects a record in the GridView I make sure that the same record is selected in the FormView.mv.ActiveViewIndex = vIndexForm; // causes the MultiView to change views from the grid to the form
fv.PageIndex = gv.SelectedIndex + (gv.PageIndex * gv.PageSize); // causes the FormView to use the same selected record as the GridView

This should cause a PageIndexChanged event (it doesn't), so I called by event handler explicitly. In the event handler I change the mode to FormViewMode.Edit. This should cause a ModeChanged event (again it doesn't), so again I called it explicitly.Finally in the ModeChanged event I get the DataItem for the FormView so that I can update some special fields that require some special formatting, however fv.DataItem is null which means I can't do any special formatting. At this point the FormView shows and the regular fields are fine. If I now hit the Cancel button the FormView fires the ChangedMode event at which point I changed the MultiView's ActiveViewIndex back to the view with the grid. The grid displayes just fine, but if I do a select of a row within the GridView again I get the "Failed to load viewstate" error.I can only assume that I'm either doing something in the wrong order or at the wrong time and it's tripping me up.

Forms Data Controls :: Failed To Load Viewstate When Gridview Control - Replace Gridview With Datagrid

Apr 5, 2010

Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request.

The above error occurs with gridview control , when used with template field columns with item template / and edit templates etc.
updating a row within gridview, at the time of loadiong it loads perfectly fined, but when tried to modify an existing row within gridview control, then it produces the error. Make sure the grid view control has to be a child control which manages the child table info with in a master form. to reproduce the above problem the grid view must be loading the child records info of a master within the masterform, meaning both master data and gridview data all to be managed in one single form.

I had to replace gridview control with datagrid and then it worked perfectly fine. I wasted almost 4 days of my time., there is no way we could figure out the problem. here is the full info of the problem.

Server Error in '/' Application.

Firebird Data Provider And Entity Framework In Visual Studio 2010?

Feb 23, 2011

I'm trying to use the Entity Framework with a Firebird database in Visual Studio 2010

Useful info:

Windows 7 64-bit
Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate
Firebird 2.5.0
Firebird .Net Data Provider 2.6
DDEX 2.0.5

I've done:

Installed Firebird server (and it works and I can connect to a database) Downloaded DDEX (I've run the registry files) used the gacutil on the FirebirdSql.Data.FirebirdClient.dll and checked that it indeed was installed and it was Modyfied the machine.config for both 2.0 and 4.0 in 32-bit and 64 bit folders to include the provider in the element When I try to add a connection in the server explorer I choose "Firebird Data Source" and the Firebird data provider and press continue. I the "Add Connection" dialog window I fill in the info "data source, database, user, password.." and press ok and then I get the following error:

Failed to find or load the registered .Net Framework Data Provider Also when I try to add a new Entity Data Model I cannot see the Firebird option.. I can only see SQL options. I really need help on this one as I've spent many hours on this and I cannot get it to work.. I've also read other related questions on SO,

AJAX :: "client-side Framework Failed To Load", But Only Occurs Some Mornings?

Jan 24, 2011

I originally wrote an ASP .NET 3.5 intranet website on a .NET 4.0 machine running IIS 5. To alleviate the problem, I figured I'd rewrite the website in VS using 4.0. This seemed to fix the issue, but then it starting reoccuring again. I currently have 8 users for my website, which utilizes the AJAX dropdownextender. Ajax 4.0 is installed on the machine and all the users (including me) can access the website via the intranet and rarely have problems. The only issues arise in the morning when the users 1st access the site. It will occassionally give errors stating"ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load","'Sys.Extended.UI' is null or not an object", or"'Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager' is null or not an object". All these errors arise from the framework incorrectly loading. It is typically cleared up right away with a page refresh. Unfortunately, most of the users aren't the most computer literate, so are unaware of issues that arise. I just want to know if there is a way to fix this issue. I've been researching this issue alot, but never got a straight answer. If any other information is necessary, please let me know.
