I have found some internet resources that have explained how to use the GridView PreRender event to add an extra footer row but I'm trying to find a simple way to populate that row with the same text and images that appear in the header row. I am not using header templates. I am using the footer row of the GridView as the "insert" row.

I am struggling to get the column totals in the footer. I have the code below which just brings back zero each time and if i move the Dim total as integer = 0 to the top as a global variable I get 54 in each of the total columns?

Is it possible? To be more clear, when you click on datagrid's (Collection) from properties window, you get selected columns created from Bound column. So in those columns I want to dynamically display dataset's table values in those columns.

Both the header and footer can be fixed heights if that's what's needed. The footer needs to "stick" to the bottom of the browser. The two columns both need to fill in 100% height down to the footer when the content is short, and push the footer down when the content is long. I'm not sure if I set the body color to the header/footer color I want and then somehow expand the maincontent area or if I should be doing this within the header/footer. I've been playing around with this for a few hours now and everytime I think I'm close I hose something else. Feel like I'm taking 2 steps forward and 3 back.
Is there a way to get the raw response header and body from the HttpRequest.Response object for debugging when issues arrise?
