I have a grid view and I am unable to get the values that I edited from the grid view using below code. Can Any one look into it and advise what is wrong with my code?

When I click on edit button I am expecting it to change like a text box and let me edit the content. But it is not happening. Can you see my code and let me know What I am missing?

I have grid view which databind from object datasource. my problem is i want to disply dynamic dropdown list on edit template based on the id which has in grid view. but still i can't figure out a way to do this.

I have a grid view and I added edit and Save buttons to it. When I click on edit I am able to edit the data but when I click on save I amgetting the data before edit.

I have a formview with various templates set up for a database that has 255 columns. I need the insertitemtemplate to pre-fill values based upon a specific selection by the user (just like the edit item template) but when the template is switched to insertitemtemplate every text box is cleared. The idea is that a new entry is usually made by making minor changes to an existing entry. With 255 fields I don't want to require the user to enter every field when only three or four need to change.

i have a dropdown list in edit mode and read only mode. If users upload pictures, i want them to chose a category for the uploaded pics and display it in a gridview as below.(See Picture below). When i include "SelectedValue='<%# Bind("CategoryID")" in edit and item template mode, i get this error "'PictureReadOnlyCategories' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value "
When i removed the "SelectedValue='<%# Bind("CategoryID")" from edit and item template, i get the result on the pic below(screenshot). If u can see the pic below the category is not selected, it just display the -- No Category -- even when i chose a category for the pic. View 6 RepliesI am trying to do this with many issues of data binding doubling the amount and not setting selectedValue on dropdownlist. I have read some posts and they help but I am missing a crucial piece. My problem is that my dropdownlist is doubling the amount of records for the dropdownlist. Instead of "YES;NO;SELECT A VALUE", I am getting "YES;NO;SELECT A VALUE;YES;NO;YES;NO". My database is correct with the UPDATE part but the rebind after update is failing horribly.

I have a gridview ...asp 2.0 and VS 2005.The Gridview has template fields and I am using a Header Templete and an Item Template field.Within the Item template fields I am using a asp: table and within the table I am using different asp controls to bind data to the gridview
Here is the issue ...I want that each datafield should align with each other eactly i.e. symmetricaly each column wise.The problem as of now is that as each row of data is displayed in a new table and as a result each column aligns differently.How can I align the columns with each other?

I am trying to bind dropdownlist in Gridview under EditItemTemplate under RowBound event. But it gives me blank rows in the drop down list.Here is my DesignÂ

I see the dropdown but the dropdown is blank, but there are rows in the database for this column and in the footer row it is working fine.
I want to create dynamic template field in gridview at code behind. Kindly let me know how to create this.

I have Parent grid view (gvServiceDetail) and child grid view (Gridview2) in Parent grid view. Child grid view has 3 bound column. In Parent grid view I am binding Partnername,Area,Mobile and in child grid I am binding services against partnerid.
