Forms Data Controls :: Interrogate The RBL And Set The Label So The Correct Value Is Passed Back To The Datasource?

I have a Gridview with a templated column that gets a True/False value from the SQL Datasource. The value displays as a string in a label in the template. I added a RadioButtonList and in the RowDataBinding event put in some logic to set the appropriate radio button based on the text value of the Label.
Now I want to be able to interrogate the RBL upon update and set the Label text accordingly. I tried the Row_Updating event but that doesn't have a handle on the row itself and the RBL is not in the NewValues or OldValues collection since it's not one of the bound fields. I tried the RBL_SelectedIndexChanged event but I can't get the current row (got a handle on the Gridview but Gridview.SelectRow and Gridview.SelectedDataKey are both null).

My problem is as follows:I have a gridview that get populated from a stored procedure in my MS SQL database. This gridview has a column that is a link field that I click to navigate to a new page that should display the correct info in the relevant labels.So the gridview returns say five diffrent rows of companies (and this work great by the way) and lets say that the 'company name' is the link field column that I meantioned earlier. So now I the company name and this navigates me to the Company.Aspx page, which so far is all working well.What I cant seem to get right is how to pas the correct row of the the passed dataset to display in the correct label fields, here is a brief snippet of what I mean:

I am using 3 tables and are trying to get the correct info belonging to the correct id. Like this: I go to a page and here i want to see the information from the 3 tables using a specific id.

what i have is a web form with a number of input fields . But some of the fields have the magnifying glass search image so that the user can click and up pops some results to pick from.
So what i have is like the following

Supplier Name
Supplier Code {image here}
and so on ..
so what i want to do is create a user control that i can call from any web page that has the image on it and the name of the label can be passed .
So the control would be a probably label with an image to the right of it and in the markup when the it is called , a label name is passed in order to display it on the page .. also label id and a click event on the magnifying glass because each label might have a different id and the click event on the magnifying glass for each is different .
I currently have 3 tables and return an average value for the OverallRating Column on each to get a CombinedOverall, but what if one of the tables does not have data for a particular customer? if I divide by 3 the answer will not be the same, and I could get an answer that is over the max I want (5.0)

It will be possible that the Customer will not have any data in one of the tables.
Just to rule it out, I have tried using the AJAX Rating system to no success, so i've decided to develop my own (as useful as AJAX seems to be for some reason I've never got it working on my system). I'm using a Star Rating Widget I attained from [URL] and from there I've taken a demo (so that it is working) and started editing it accordingly to my needs.
What I am setting out to do convert the radio buttons to stars (done via jQuery and working correctly). The user selects their rating then clicks the the Submit Button. The C# in the Submit OnClick Event then accesses the database, using LINQ to SQL, taking the current 'NumberOfVotes' value and adds one to the number, storing in an int object ready to update. The current 'Rating' Value is then updated too, by adding the Value of the Radio button to the current Rate Value then divided by the number of votes (to create the average rating) 'This article has been rated 4.28/5 by 286 Voters.'
However, the value from the selected radio button isnt being passed through to the back end, as debug has shown, and as you will see in the code below. The jQuery does state a callback which i had initially commented out (due to errors being caused). I have since reassigned it as advised, with a small edit in it to call the btnSubmit control and thus its onclick Event. Im not sure on a resolution to this having tried the only advised suggestion fail. The result of which posts back the message which should appear if no value/star was selected ("You have not selected a rating!"). If I can somehow transfer the jQuery to the ASp:RadioList I would do so, as I think this would be better in terms of calling and processing the data. Being new to it, I have no idea. How do I bound a Label to a datasource and its field?I got set up the datasource to a gridview, but don't know how to bind a label to the same datasource.
In browsers such as firefox Sometimes on some users JavaScript can be enabled as false. In my website it is a bit compulsory to make it enabled=true. So On my page load I need to check the visitor's browser if it is enabled or not.

I am not sure what the event is called but I'm trying to get it so if your not logged in you can't manually type the page name in the bar at the top. I need to find a way so it will always redirect you to the login page if you haven't signed in.
Also the same goes for sessions, at the moment when my session time runs out my website fails as there is alot linked to sessions from my database, how do I get it so when a session expires upon trying to navigate inside the website you are passed back to the login page?
I am using 3 web controls ,two are cascading dropdownlists used to filter gridview control bound to a datasource.
My question is , How to define multiple queries in stored procedure that takes parameter values from the controls declared using sqldatasource.Also, return all data when i set default control value to say 'null'.
NB: one paramaterised query for cascading dropdownlists and another for other control.
I have a page has Listview and Datapager inside UpdatePanel. When I refresh the new SQL results and bind by pressing link buton outside of the update panel, I get correct results. (get new SQLselect statment, rebind to listview, update updatepanel)
However, the SelectCommand is not bound right or some other reason, if I press datapager, I won't get no results.
I'm guessing it's caused by not passing new dynamic selectcommand since my datapager and listview works first update.
I have a web page that has a repeater bound to a data source. I beed to change a label inside the repeater based on the data that is in each repeater item. For instance, for the first item it might be one thing, and for the next item the label may be something else. I am currently doing some processing in the prerender event, but I don't know if I can or how to access the data source fields there. Where and how do I get access to the data in each item so I can change the label text?
I am really sorry for this, but this is such a bizarre situation I don't know where to turn. I have a stored procedure that takes four parameters (two dates, a positionID, a userID). The SQLDataSource is very generic:

When this executes, no matter what the value of PositionID, it acts as if the PositionID is zero. Now, if I remove PositionID variable and add the number:

All is well. Also, when I look at the parameter in the immediate window, it appears to be correct:
I have a gridview bound to a sqldatasource with editing enabled. If I click Edit, then either Cancel or Update, the update or cancel occurs and the Edit button reappears. However, I cannot then click the browser's back button without having the Update and Cancel buttons reappear. A second click of the back button takes me to a state where the Edit button shows again, *then* another back button click will take me to the referring page (the one before the one with the gridview on it.) IOW, it looks like the postbacks are cached. How can I prevent this and have the back button go straight to the referring page?
Can't say I'm new to this, but I just can't see what I'm doing wrong. Can some one please take a look at this and point out why is my Edit event from the DataList not exporting the index value that is needed to populate a FormView? Below is my reduced code.
I've got a gridview with three fields, the last of which is a template field with an imagebutton in.
The first field is a Date, and the second is a time field (it is however just varchar field as it may differ and will not be programmatically used).
I want the following to happen if I click on the imagebutton (reserve):
Four other fields must be inserted into the record.
Is the best way to launch a detailsview where the row.imagebutton@=ID and just edit the fields like that or should I pass the two fields (and RecordID) along with the query string to a new page where the passed information can be in invisble textbowes and just have the user enter (UPDATE) the four outstanding fields? I feel like doing it this way?

This should be simple as it is only one table with records that has to be partially inserted by an admin person (2 Fields) and then completed by a web user (4 fields).

I am trying to upload an excel file and based on the number of headers in the file, I want to generate columns, however I am just not able to get this going because i am getting syntax error, the main problem being I am not able to put the brackets at the right place.

However, it is failing with this error:Failed to convert parameter value from a String to a Boolean. But if I use SqlDbType.VarChar instead it works fine. I want to use Char b/c that is the correct datatype in SQL.In my SP the param is @CUSTNMBR char(15). In my database table the field is also char(15).
