I have a class that contains many fields, some with values, and some will be empty depending on user. I am looking for a way to loop through them all and have them displayed. This doesn't do anything:
I got a design which I basicly use for 100's of websites, and have a virtual folder for masterpages with is copied from a project using build events. Each Masterpage (as this stage), I can rename them or change the names if it helps with this problem, but I need to be able to access the propertys in the masterpage code / dllso I have come up with this
I currently have an accordion and I want each accordion to populate only if the user clicks on that header( partial accordion rendering ). How are people doing that nowadays? I know I can do it with updatepanels but have read bad things about update panels. Also just as an FYI each accrordion panel content pane will look the same ..It will have a thumbnail of the product..several checkboxes and a download button . The values or names of the checkboxes need to be generated so that I can then grab them and lookup those values in an xml file to find the location and then zip those files up and have user download it..I actually have all this working with all the content of the accordion being generated on server at load time but being that I'm trying to learn asp.net I figured I would give partial rendering a shot..I like the idea of only loading content for that accordion panel if user is interested in in. I also have a webservice running which displays hello world in the accordion panel content that trigger the network callback..That's fine but then I'm thinking ok now how do I build the checkboxes and html that I really need to send back and is this web service the correct solution. Another thought is using javascript to create elements as the data is retrieived from the web service..I'm just trying to do it the right way[URL]
I have been working with this database for some time. Here is the situation...
I inherited a MS SQL database that has hundreds of tables with similar data. For instance:
FordTampa_customer is a table,
ChevyAtlanta_customer is a table, etc....
All of the columns are the same...just different tables with their own ID field. All I have done...Inside of another database id is created a table called 'Customer' and added an 'Dealer ID' column along with the rest of the other columns in the other tables...
So the combination of the 'Dealer ID' and the 'ID' field are unique.....I know...its not the best way to do things...but I cannot change the old data structure because I cannot have access to it. I am give back-ups on a weekly basis, so this is all I have to work with.
All right, on to the real point of my post...
Currently, I have an application that I use to select all of the data from the 'Ford_customers','Chevy_customers',etc... and inserts them into my new main 'Customer' table. I do this by selecting the table names, bind it to an arraylist, loop through the list and execute an insert statement.
I do this in VB.NET, but I would prefer to do it in a Stored procedure of some kind....I just am not sure how to accomplish it. I use this syntax to get my list of tables:
[Code]....
I am not sure how to take those names from the table and do another select based on that list of names.
I'm writing a tooltip plugin for the learning (I know there is already alot of good ones). I was wondering if there is a way to get a value from an external stylesheet. For example, I have an option called containWidth, when it is set to true, I want the tooltip to become the same width as the element which displays it. I can do this but it doesn't take into account any padding, borders or margins.
The class it is using is jamestip-tooltip, so can I somehow in jQuery get the padding and margin elements of this class?
The code below starts on a webpage, then goes into a class and does some processing and then it should return the value from the class to the webpage, yet it does not.
[Code]....
So it has a value in userNameValue normally something like abc, then it goes to the runUserIDClass and the code here is below
In my controller have a FormViewModel which inherits from a domain class declared in dbml. In the constructor of the FormViewModel I want to do a shorthand assignment to the inherited class properties with the passed in object (ie thisPerson) without iterating through each property of the inherited class and assigning its value with corresponding property in the passing in object. Should I use super, base, this, or something else?
I have added objects to the session state in an aspx page which is using an object datasource.I want to get the session value in the class library which is used by the object datasource.
Using the properties as defined in a class, how about can I put them into the ParamArray parameters argument of my function. The code as follows:
Public Class MyObject Public Property Prop1 as string Public Property Prop2 as integer Public Property Prop3 as Boolean Public Sub AddNewMyObject MsSQL_ExecuteNonQuery("StoredProc_AddNewMyObject", ________________?) End Sub End Class Protected Function MsSQL_ExecuteNonQuery(ByVal storedProc as string, ByVal ParamArray parameters as object()) 'Some Code here. End Function
I have web service with reference of BO library in same application. My BO contains classes with some private members and respective public properties.
All of these private members had default values in a perticular class say Contact.cs.Now when I consume this webservice into Windows Application, these already assinged values to BO does not persists in the Windows Application code.
Is there any limitation such that you can serialize the default values assosiated with private members ?
Even I have tried to assign these values directly to the properties in a constructor of Contact class.
Nw i want to change the TempPwd checkboxfield from another aspx file namely NewUserLogin.aspx, So is it possible? The idea behind doing this is, as soon as the user enters a new password in the NewUserLogin.aspx page, the checkboxfield in the GridView of CustomerSetup.aspx file should be unset.
I am getting int values from the stored procedure. But when i bind this datasource with the gridview i am seeing the values being converted into float. i am using Text='<% # Bind("Quantity") %' I wanna that to be displayed as int, with out zero'seg: let the value be 233, when i bind that its getting displayed as 233.00
Since we can access the private data member of base class in the derived class with the help of friend function. How can we do the same in C# asp.net? I mean whats the alternative of friend function in C# asp.net
Using the following Webservice definition using aClientArgs as a complex type:
[System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService] public class Controller : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod] public void save_client(aClientArgs client) { // Save client data } } Then defining aClientArgs as a sub-class: public class aArgs { public string id = null; public string name = null; } public class aClientArgs : aArgs { public string address = null; public string website = null; } Returns the following WSDL fragment for the save_client args: <save_client xmlns="http://tempuri.org/"> <client> <address>string</address> <website>string</website> </client> </save_client> When I'm expecting the following: <save_client xmlns="http://tempuri.org/"> <client> <id>string</id> <name>string</name> <address>string</address> <website>string</website> </client> </save_client>
So it appears that the .NET WebService is not treating inherited properties as arguments/variables for purposes of a web service. How do I get .NET to also use the properties of the base class?
I first need to apologize in case this has been answered before but I'm a newbie (green as they come) and this error keeps popping up even before I start debugging! There are two errors and the second one is:" Error 2
Missing partial modifier on declaration of type 'WFPKenya2.WFPKenya2'; another partial declaration of this type exists"
I have this Control directive in a usercontrol (i've changed the namespace and class name):
<%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" Inherits="Namespace.Path.To.ClassName" %> <asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="txtComment" TextMode="MultiLine" ValidationGroup="comment" /> ClassName is a class that lives in a class library and this is the class: namespace Namespace.Path.To { public class ClassName : System.Web.UI.UserControl { protected System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox txtComment; protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { HttpContext.Current.Response.Write(txtComment == null); HttpContext.Current.Response.End(); }
I'd like to inherit all my controllers from a custom base class that I write myself. I can change the line every time I add a new controller, but it would be nicer if I could somewhere specify the default value that gets set there. That way I wouldn't need to worry about forgetting this, and other people who get added to the project later on would have an easier time.
am using class diagram of visual studio 2008as you can see the image i need show to user that the period and calendar classes have the idMarket property that refers to market classhow can i do this?
I have build a UserControl with separate code behind file.In that code behind file i have defined some public properties in the Partial class of user control that was automatically generated. Those properties will initialize some properties of controls that are used in the control. Now, in .aspx page i used this User Control and initialized the public properties through code behind of aspx page for dynamic contents.
