View 1 RepliesI'm working with an external team with our website and they recently added one of my scripts to the .NET MasterPage of the site... well it did finally get my script running but now... it loads Banners on 'every' page on the site.
How can I write an 'if' statement that basically says... if this is the home page... run this script... if not don't...?

I'm finding it next to impossible setting up a slideshow given the constraints I have. I could do it easily using a listview control except listview controls don't automatically page themselves! Is it possible to use jquery to create a play/pause button to auto page through the listview control, making it a slide show?

I am trying to open a new HTML page(like pop up window) with data(I will get this data from database) when the user submits an order. I am using VS2008.
Does writing the Html code to a string and then use Response.Write will work correctly for opening the html as a pop up window? Is there any other better way to perform this action?
I have written a ajax function that I will check the result of a div tag to see if I want to hide the partial view and show the result. The result depends on what is coming back from the controller and the html(result variable). It should only go to the else statement if the return html string does not contain a div tag with id "valRegno". I do not know how I can find the div tag and check if it is there or not. The "result" htmls are nice and show me the details I am intrested but I can not extract it from the html string.
Here is the code I have come up with:

View 8 RepliesI would like to send an Html email. The body for this email I would like to create completely dynamically. How do I create an html page completely from scratch so that I then have a page that I can add controls to? Do I create an instance of the System.Web.UI.Page class, add my controls to it and then render it as a string that I can assign to the message body?

View 4 Repliesabout how many are using jQuery to create controls in the DOM after the initial page load.Curious also about any conventions for naming DOM objects in relation to database objects.Seems you could almost render the entire page using jQuery..Does that mean I am only using ASP.Net for the fact that my page methods will run in IIS on the web server?
View 17 RepliesI have implemented a lot fo JQuery features into my ASP.Net web application. I am using JQuery, JQueryUI, JQuery Validation and a couple of other plugins. They are all coexisting and working fine. This one page in my app has the JQueryUI tabs, Modal progress pop-up working just fine. This page also has a couple of JQuery AJAX calls to my server side events. That all works fine!
I just added a Jquery date picker to one of the text boxes on the first tab on my data entry form and nothing happens or is displayed when you click on the date textbox. I am going to post the HTML markup for the page and my JQuery code. Please let me know if you see anything glaring? HTML

View 3 RepliesEditing a web site project with master page in VS2010Ultimate with SP1 and Win7Ultimate 64 bit. Former everything was working fine - all toolbox windows were available when editing master page or aspx page. Now with the master page all toolbox relevant tab were enabled and show - when switching to a aspx page only the HTML tab is shown and enabled. When checking all "Show all" all expected tabs are disabled.
Even the <asp:> namespace is a unrecognized namespace in the aspx file.
When compiling or debugging/running everything is ok.
How can I solve this problem? I'm using Win7 Ultimate 64 Bit, VS2010 Ultimate and IExplorer 9 and the latest updates from Microsoft.
The HTML label control is on master page. And I want to access its value on other aspx.cs page. As there are many other control on the master page so i use the recursive function to access the value but NullReferenceException occurs... The code on aspx.cs page is as:
[code]....
I have the web page [URL] written in html. I have also created a form on this web page, but I do not have any idea how to create the aspx page to capture and email to me (via my mailserver), the data the user enters and submits through the form
View 3 RepliesI have a controller's action and view page that uses a master page.
The master page has the html title section like:
<title>this is the page's title</html>
How can I access this section from within my controller's action (preferably) or my action's view page?
I have one master page that is used to gather information from a user. It contains asp.net labels and textboxes within a table. For example, the master page contains fields for Name , Phone, Address, etc.
There are content pages that are created to add to the information that needs to be gathered. For example, the content page, Loan Application, could ask for Loan Amount, LTV, etc.
In addition to this, certain content page forms do not need to show a particular master page field. For example, the content page may not need to ask for Phone.
The table rows are stored as public properties in the master page so I can hide them in the content page code behind.
public bool HomePhoneRow
{
set { trHomePhone.Visible = value; }
get { return trHomePhone.Visible; }
}
So, in the content page code behind, I have this:
Master.HomePhoneRow = false;
The functionality works perfect, but I don't like how the space is reserved on the page. You can tell that a row was removed. I've tried style="border-collapse:collapse" on both the <table> and <tr> elements. I've also tried to set the row height as a public property and alter that.
I have MasterPage.master and 3 page that use this masterpage
1-home.aspx
2-product.aspx
3-information.aspx
in masterpage I defive 3 DIV
<div id="Home" runat="server"></div> <div id="Product" runat="server">
</div> <div id="Information" runat="server"></div>
I want in Home.aspx it change <div id="Home"> Background's image so I wrote below code in home.aspx behind code:
Home.Style["background-image"]=Page.ResolveUrl("~/Images/Extra/H.jpg"); but this error happen: the name Home doesn't exist in the current context
I think it happen because I define divĀ in masterpage not in home.aspx so if I want do it what should I do?
Building asp.C# shopping app that is using a hosted payment page to process payments (using posting of data to a hosted payment page). SSL certificate is signed and installed.
Flow:
Prelim) (HTTPS) Users authenticate using asp Login control
1) Users add items to cart.
2) (HTTPS)Users go to checkout page.
3) Users finalize their order, then click pay now after agreeing to T&C.
4) Server gets cart data (from MSSQL2005) and sets a transaction cookie (expiry set to 20 mins).
5) (HTTPS) Server Response.Redirects to an html page (in the same folder as the login protected pages).
6) Html page reads transaction cookie data and generates form fields.
7) (HTTPS) Html page posts data to hosted payment page (php).
8) User enters payment info and clicks pay now.
9) (HTTPS) hosted payment page posts info back to a .aspx page that checks if payment OK.
10a) If payment !OK, redirects to a declined page.
10b) (HTTPS) If payment OK, sets a verification cookie (expiry set to 20 mins). Then redirects to another html page.
11) Html page reads cookie data and generates form fields.
12) (HTTPS) Html page posts data to hosted verification page (php).
13) Verification page verifies (of course), if transaction ok.
14) (HTTPS) verification page posts data to a .aspx page that checks if verification OK.
15) If verification OK, process orders and do receipt stuff.
Issue:
This control flow was tested on an unsigned dev environment. SSL was being enforced, if needed on the unsigned SSL certificate. So we'd get prompts that certificate may be bad, but the control flow worked seamlessly.
However, now live with a signed SSL certificate, going from step 5 to 6, we are encountering a situation where some users (not duplicated every time, but verified that it does occur) when they click pay now and are redirected to the html page, they are forced back to the ~/login.aspx page (as if they were logged out).
Things to note:
a) The session did not time out.
b) The browsers have cookies and javascript enabled.
c) I can process the entire flow seamlessly on the same machine with other accounts, and occasionally, the same account.
So, basically, I'm stumped... Is this a viewstate error? A login control bug that won't let me redirect to an html page because it is now using a real SSL? Anyone have any experience with this kind of deal? I'm at a loss for solutions at this point.
