Is the Cross Hair/ Track Ball functionality is available in Ms Charts / dotnetcharting Controls.
i am looking for a chart with following feature -

I'm still at the struggling stage. Currently trying to find the way to do array handling, declaring arrays, manipulating them, sorting the contents, writing to other arrays...And all the time there's this red ball sitting there on the left, in the midst of my code now, as I add more....what's it mean? what's it for?
View 9 RepliesI am using dotnetCHARTING: the dll is installed in the GAC and referenced in my web.config (all versions appear to match). The project has a reference to the dll.

The site code compiles ok, but all aspx pages using the charting library complain that the Chart tag does not exist (warning that it might be a compile error). The aspx pages do not render the charts.
Each page has a reference to the assembly:

View 3 RepliesI have a web application develped using VS2008 and the Dundas Charts add-on. I understand that Dundas Charts is no longer supported by Dundas and now belongs to Microsoft. I found what appear to be the chart controls and VS integration downloads:Microsoft Chart Control for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5Microsoft Chart Controls Add-on for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008What I do not know is what happens if I install these downloads. Does my original Dundas software cease to work? Does the new MS Chart software work like the Dundas version did and is fully compatible with my existing charts? Do I need to rebuild my web sites using the MS Chart integrated software? Does the old Dundas dll file in the in folder have to be replaced or will it work as is? I have not found anything that describes how to install and use this software and the functional differences from Dundas to Microsoft ownership.

I have some structured objects that map to multiple DB tables that I have created using LINQ using [Association(Name=, Storage=, ThisKey=, OtherKey=)] links to the objects attached to other tables. If I try to create an association to an object attached to a table on another database server, will this throw an error/go horribly wrong (I'm guessing yes)? If this _is_ possible, are there any issues I need to be aware of?

Where is the arity stored for retrieval and reconstruction usage?
By "official" I mean the Microsoft way of doing it. There exist hacks like Session storage, etc but I want to know the bonafide or at least Microsoft-recommended way. I've been unable to find a documentation page stating this information. Usually code samples work with a set of dynamic controls of known numbers. It's as if doing otherwise would be tougher.
Update: I'm not inquiring about user controls or static expression of declarative controls, but instead about dynamically injecting controls completely from code-behind, whether they be mine, 3rd-party or built-in ASP.NET controls.
