I'm using the ModalPopupExtender control from the AJAX toolkit. This control extends a panel which contains a CreateUserWizard control. However, the validation of the CreateUserWizard control causes a postback to the server, which closes the popup. I'd like the popup to remain open, even after the postback.
I have a collapsible panel extender inside a modal window, my problem is that whenever I click on the link button (to expand my panel), the window closes.

I am sending you the code. It Has two PArts First is CLIENT SECTION and Anpother is STATION Section
1) CLIENT SECTION : It has a dropdownlist binded to SQLDataSource and with this it has an imagebutton bAddClient
bAddClient will open the ModalPopup which will ask user to Add new client. And After Adding the New client when User
will close the ModalPopup MY DropDownList is not getting Populated with the New Client. I have Used UpdatePanels Also
2) STATION SECTION : It has a DropDownList, an Image BUtton , And Grid View. In Grid View it shows station details
On particular client selcted above.
I have given the delete station command on deleting the station that particular entry doesnot goes away.
It Should not be visible after it get deleted
Now when i click on imagebutton a modalpopup will open.
Now In modalpopup i have given dropdownlist , image button(to add new station), Some station Info and save button
Now when i click on dropdownlist it used to close the modalpopup then i seet the autopostback = false. Then it works fine. Is it correct way?
Now when i click on imagebutton it asks user to add new station with a textbox , save station button. When users click on savestation button then it adds station to the DB and it should update the dropDownList of ModalPoup without closing it.
But when I am clicking on imagebutton it is closing the modalpoup.
And When user clicks on ModalPoup SSave Button in end it should update GridView of STATAION SECTION too.
Dim iCounter as Integer Dim iQuantity as Integer = 10 Protected Sub btnFoo_Click Handles btnFoo Yadda For i as Integer = iCounter to iQuantity - 1 //do something with AsyncPostBackTrigger until iCounter = iQuantity - 1 //then trigger a full postback Next End Sub
I am new to the concept and feel like there must be something really easy that I am missing.
I am using the jQuery Dialog in ASP.NET. I have it working fine with the exception of when I click the OK button in the dialog and if an error occurred I want to show the error in the label. By the time the dialog closing event is fired it is too late. How do I still show the dialog if an error has occurred. I don't want to close the dialog when there is an error.
I have created two user controls(Say uc1.ascx and uc2.ascx). I have wrapped second user control(uc2.ascx) as a DIV in first user control(uc1.ascx), to populate uc2.ascx as a JQUERY modal popup. I have created a Webpart(class file) where I specifed the first user control path. Now in an aspx page, I have added this webpart as a webpart zone. The syntax loks somethng like this.
In my first user control(uc1.ascx), I have gridview. Now when I clik on a button in a webpart, a JQuery modal popup comes where I fill the details and after saving the details, the popup closes. But the webpart is not refreshed due to which I am not able to get the updated data in the grid view.
How can I refresh a particular webpart when I have multiple webparts in the same page in order to get updated data?
I'm using modal popup extender and panel with calendar in it. Click the "Next / Previous Month" closes the modal popup. How do I tell the modal popup to ignore click events in a calendar control inside the panel targeted for popup? I'm confused because when using extender before, you had to click OkButton or Cancel to close popup. I have update panel for reason. I just minimized the code for easy review.

Simple one here... is there a clean way of preventing a user from double-clicking a button in a web form and thus causing duplicate events to fire?
If I had a comment form for example and the user types in "this is my comment" and clicks submit, the comment is shown below... however if they double-click, triple-click or just go nuts on the keyboard they can cause multiple versions to be posted.
Client-side I could quite easily disable the button onclick - but I prefer server-side solutions to things like this
Is there a postback timeout per viewstate that can be set for example?
I have a web page (aspx) which takes longer time to load the page. If this page is loading and if user requests same page by clicking menu link again, it is considered as not postback and page starts loading again (as soon as it finished first page load).
I want to prevent this from happening. When page is loading and user requests same page again, it should not process those requests and should be neglected.
This aspx page is requested from menu (which is designed on seperate master page).
I have some validation JS code on client, that must be executed befor PostBack. If this validation code return 'false', postback is needless. How it can be disabled?
I have a treeview loaded with nodes. When I click on a node that is set to .Selected, I want a frame to load with that node's objects. Instead, it appears that the TreeView is posting back and causing the node that was clicked to be lost. For example, setting the below function to OnSelectedNodeChanged causes a NullReferenceException.
Protected Function LoadObject(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Dim node As TreeNode = tv1.SelectedNode Response.Write(node.Text.ToString())
