MVC Magic Strings - Eliminate The Magic String "Version" When Outputting The Table Column Headers?

If I have a strongly typed view e.g. Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage>" %> And i want to output the list of items in the model, when I use "Add view" within visual studio i get the following html code generated below.Is there anyway to eliminate the Magic string "Version" when outputting the table column headers?

What I have is a masterpage with some tables and contentplaceholders. What I want in some pages is that a table be removed because i have 3 columns on 3 tables and i need 2 columns only(so minus one table). Now i can access the table and give it some css through code but what i give is width:0 (and visibility:hidden if ever successful). The table contains one contentplaceholder inside a <td>. I can also access the td.The problem is that the table (thus contentplaceholder) will not go away.
It remains as entity as extending the second column will just push it downside(behavior expected when the column3 with contentplaceholder is present). So is there a way to remove the table holding the contentplaceholder?Only thought is to hide it and push it right that i admit i haven't tried it yet, I suppose it would be easier to make another master page but the problem is that i want specific designs on many pages so if this does not work i would either have to make many master pages or just use simple pages.

In the above statement Suppose we take a scenario where Select @@ROWCOUNT as Priority3 is executed, I get two tables returned, One is the Table returned by Select @@ROWCOUNT as Priority3 and the other is the Table returned by Select @@ROWCOUNT as Priority2 which has no Records. How can I eliminate the Empty table that returns no records.

I've been trying for the past few hours to add mutliple headers to my grid view but keep failing to get it to show. There's plenty of examples online that I found but can't seem to get the most simplest to work. Below is the code I've been using with no success. I even tried changing the "TableCell" o "TableHeaderCell" but still yields no headers as expected. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

I have boundfiled column inside gridview and made the column as invisible by setting visible="false".
But while exporting the gridview to excel I am getting the Header text alone exported. Wherever the column's visibility is set to false the header text should not be exported. After binding the gridview I have set the column's visiblity to false so it won't export the column values.
The problem is to stop exporting the header text to excel. Let's say column index is 10

I recently applied a javascript code from article "Dynamically freeze ASP.net Gridview header using Javascript" found here, ASP Snippets Article, to my page. The javascript works great, but somehow, it's overriding my CSS code for the headers. When I refresh the page, I can see the headers with my CSS in place for just a fraction of a second before it is replaced with generic styling. I am not a javascript person, so really can't troubleshoot the problem. I have a style sheet with the following code.

I have the following gridView and I would like to add a 'free format textBox' to 3 of the column headers, to allow filtering. Much like here If I could/somehow achieve this that would be amazing. I can't use dropDown lists like many of the examples I have found as these lists would be too populated and proving too unfriendly to use.

i have a gridview which is populated from a stores proc using pivot tables. The column are created dynamically apart from a total column which is created as a template field. the gridview looks like below:

i need to add a hyperlink to each gridview cell and when that cell is clicked pass the header text through the querystring to another page. I can access the cells value ok and pass that through but i cannot seem to access the cells column header text. when i response.write out a count of the gridview.columns it brings back 2 which is the template fields but not the dynamic fields i have tried this on the rowdatbound, rowcreated, page_load and page_unload. the count should be 12 its like it cannot find the dynamic columns at all. ?

How to adjust the width of the columns headers because for some of my gridviews the headers not showing the proper format. in the gridview I gave HorizontalAlign="Left" and in the columns I gave

It's not showing in the correct fomart. header is coming to the left side and data is coming to the right side...

If the contents in HTML table headers or cells have spaces, even with "white-space:nowrap" in CSS, they wil wrap, as long as there is not enough room in headers or cells. it seems cells have higher priority than headers. I mean, if strings are shorter in cells than ones in headers, the content in headers will wrap.Does anyone know how to keep them unwrapped, no matter what?

I am quite new to LINQ, and I am stuck with this probably basic problem, but haven't been able to find a solution, so I thought I could ask here.
So, I have this repository where I put my functions for data accessing, and now I need to write a function to get all the applicants that have applied for this particular advertisement, and their values too. Now, the values are stored in a separate M:N table, where every row consists of the applicantID,advertisementID and value. I just wanna append the value to every applicant that I show, so that it would look like a Ranking List.
However, I do not seem to know how to select just the name column from the Applicant table, and just the Value column from the ApplicantValue table.
And there's this Iqueryable interface that further confuses me...

Now, if I try to add to the definition of the type two columns, it says that it only messes with types, i.e. one type should be passed. So I figured I would do a ViewModel and then pass it, like this

3) Enable "Advanced Mode" by clicking on it.
3) Then under Row Groups,select the static row and choose properties or press F4.
4) Set the following attributes for the static row or header row.

When we export the table report in SSRS 2008 as a word document, the table headers won't repeat when the table spans to multiple pages. The reason is the table report is exported as an inner table. So, Microsoft Word doesn't support header repetition for an inner table.

I have never work with a repeater and after a lot of research I got to the conclusion that this is the control I need to use for what I have to do. I need display data but I will need 2 headers and after some sort of amount of records the headers will repeat again.
