When I run the application, 1st page, second page, 3rd page I get Url on page as:
localhost:2069/TestPage/FirstPage.aspx
localhost:2069/TestPage/SecondPage.aspx
localhost:2069/TestPage/ThirdPage.aspx
theycan be accessible.
also when i click on 4th Page, I get url as:
localhost:2069/TestPage/Admin/FourthPage.aspx
and 4th page will get displayed.But..When i go back to any other page, it will throw an error
"Resource cannot be found"
with URL as:
localhost:2069/TestPage/Admin/ThirdPage.aspx
How to avoid this Error?
i've got a problem with asp.net routing. My route looks like this:

but if there is a directory with the same name (in my case: "Articles") in my root directory, asp.net routing doesn't work and causes the error: "The resource cannot be found."

have a website. If I run it locally it works. I also published it on server and if I navigate to http://www.mydomain.com, everything works.Then I wanted to set up staging site on real server for testing purposes. My web site project has been working but suddenly I got this error after my pc hang and rebooted.

Searched web and asp.net forums, followed all suggestions but no luck.
What is the reason? Where is the port number "3771" cached? I remved all VS temporary files and it still uses 3771.
I am using Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
I wrote a test page that does a bunch of busy work in a method called at page load. This process as I have it now takes around 12 seconds.
If I try to load another page while the first long running page is loading, this second page doing nothing except writing out a world, it doesn't load until the first long running page is finished.
Why is this the case? I would think IIS would be able to handle multiple concurrent connections, it seems crazy that one long running page would stop every other page in the application from loading. I must be missing something or not understand how IIS works.
I would think multiple independent requests would be spawned on different threads. Is this only the case if the requests are from different sessions entirely? Are all requests from a single session bound to a single thread?
In an obviously misguided effort to keep versions of a site built through vs2010 .aspx vb I copied the entire visual studio 2010 folder from its default location on my local pc to a folder on a network. I then opened the network folder version of the project in VS, made a small change to some text, built the site sucessfully and published the site sucessfully to the same place the original site was published to. However, when I try to access the site I get the "resouce cannot be found" error. In a bit of a panic I opened the original project in VS and published it...no problem the site comes up. What am I doing wrong?

I have Windows 7 Pro and Visual Studio 2010.I've been following this tutorial [URL] and what's driving me insane is that I cannot even get past the first step. I setup my project exactly as the tutorial says, start debugging and all I get is: Server Error in '/' Application.The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404.What the hell? I checked the default MVC application that VS01 builds when you choose "ASP.NET MVC 2 App" instead of "ASP.NET MVC 2 Empty App" and it works.
View 3 RepliesWe have installed a web site written by others which is compiled with Visual Studio 2008 and hosted in Windows server 2008 R2.
The IIS connection timeout is set to 120 seconds. But for some pages, the first page loading fails with HTTP 404 error but sequential refresh can bring the page up. The same problem happens for some images which fail to load in web pages. We are not very sure it is network related issue or hosting issue.
I've just setup a new site on my IIS6 and I'm experiencing the following problem:
I can run normal HTML pages, but no .aspx files. If I call the aspx page directly I get a 404 - file not found - error message. This only happens with .aspx files.
I have a class library and was to add a resource file to it to support both English and Spanish. Any tips as how I can do this? The language will be dictated by the user visiting the site. Would like to have to only load each resource file once and cache or set in static variable and avoid any overheads.

I need to made some changes in html before i show that in browser , and i need to make them in memory, so i open and load and make changes to my html Page and , now i need to pass that html string to iframe, but i am not able to do dat from code behind, iframe.innerHtml do not work.
I tried to set innerhtml for a div instead of iframe, that works , but here when browser renders html page, it applies my Html page style sheat on my aspx ( where CSS are defined for body ). Means the CSS for body that is in head of my htmlPage , sets on my aspx page.
I have different projects and libraries for which I've created helpfile with Sandcastle. Now Sandcastle provides also the possibility to create a website.
What I would like to do is to create an aspx-page where I can dynamically create a menu and where the existing helpfile-websites can be sollicited. All in one place.
Is it possible to accomplish this? Maybe some control that I can use to view an entire webpage?

I am trying to handle the unhandled exceptions in my project.I tried with this following code in my web.config filebut it is not at all redirecting to an error page which i have created instead of that it is throwing an exception in my code itselef.
