But When I upload the same web application in the remote server, It produces the error,Parser Error Message: Could not load type '_Default'. Oct 15, 2010I seem to be having issues with posting forms with DropDownLists. I've looked all over the net and tried various solutions, but none seem to work for me.
I'm getting the following error: The parameter conversion from type 'System.String' to type 'Models.Organization' failed because no type converter can convert between these types.

The objects are generated by ADO.NET Entity Framework. Organizations is its own object, but also a property of Profile (each user belongs to one organization). Now I understand what the error message is saying, just not sure how else I'm supposed to do this.
Error Conversion From String To Type Double Is Not Valid
Aug 17, 2014This code works somewhat, but it won't place all of the text into the textbox.. If I change a few things I get an error where I highlighted the code in red. Conversion from string "" to type 'Double' is not valid. But the code works, like I said somewhat, as you see it, it just doesn't load all of the text to the text box.555632.txt

Apr 1, 2010By default in login template, in case user key in the wrong user name or password, the literal message will show the default error message, "Your login attempt unsuccessful..."What i trying to do is, I have a function in my system to disapprove a member, after the member is disapproved, he/she will not allow to login anymore. When the user trying to login, the default literal msg will show out. Is there any way i can do it more specifically like if the user enter the wrong password only, the literal msg show: "Wrong password entered" insteaed of the default msg?
Same goes to the change password control, for any error msg it just show the long msg but does not tell user whats wrong with the entered valueim trying to do something like if the user enter the wrong password, the literal msg show the one i wan to show.

Sep 6, 2010I have a FormView that allows a user to register for a company event. I want to do a couple of things with this form.
1. I need to write this data to a MS SQL database
2. I need to send an email confirmation of their registration to their email.
I know how to do both of these things, but i am having trouble doing both at the same time.
It would be nice if I could do it in one click, but I coded it into two pages to try to help simplify it.
The first page allows the user to input their information into a formview and when they click the submit button, it places those answers into session variables:

The Second page confirms the users information by taking those session variables and placing them into labels:

However, after I place information into the formview on the first page, it throws up this error:
"Conversion from type 'TextBox' to type 'String' is not valid".

The only thing I did differently, as far as I know, is I copied the asp and code behind from the page that works into this page and manually changed the field and table names. I don't know what the problem is. Does anyone see any problems?

SQL Server :: Convert Label.text To Int / Error Conversion Failed When Converting The Nvarchar Value 'Label' To Data Type Int.'?
Jul 14, 2010I have been messing about with this for hours surely this should be an easy task ....... I have a stored procedured that creates a invoice on a Quotetable one of the parameters is a output parameter Invoice Number this is passed to a label. (Label1) This works great.
I then need to add items to the invoice on a item table so my next stored procedure should take the value of Label1 and update the foreign key quotenumber on the itemtable with the value from label1.
On the aspx page I have a small section for a gridview which shows the current quote with however many items on it using the control

On the ASP page the control for @Quotenumber = Label1 but I get the following error

Feb 15, 2010I'm very, very new to the asp.net world and I was running through the create the movie db tutorial that is located in the learn asp.net mvc section of this website. Everything is fine until I create my home controller and edit it like on the site. Here is the first part of the code I have that has the error in it:
privateMoviesDBEntities _db = new MoviesDBEntities();
This is all on one line in visual studio but i get an error saying that the type or namespace 'MoviesDBEntities' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?). I have checked the spelling and I have the using MovieApp.Models; up above so if anyone has any insight that would be great.
I have also tried performing the manager contact sheet tutorial and get the same error in this section of the code.
