Initially after deploying SSRS 2005 report on server, the client machine could not avail print functionality because of the error "Unable to load client print control". Inspite of allowing ActiveX installation, the print functionality was not working. Googling on this issue I found that rsclientprint.dll needs to be registered in C:Windowssystem32.successfully registering this dll, print functionality started working on some machines. However on some machines it started giving the error 'Error loading resource library.(0x8007007E)'.
This is bizarre and seems like a bug to me.Using a table in SSRS, I have a details row, with a parent group and finally a header row. For my header row, I am referencing a particular cell in the parent group.I am doing this so that i can have the header row repeat on each page of the group.his works fine when I'm not in Print Layout mode. However, when i switch to print layout mode, or print the report itself, the data that is presented on the screen is different then what is presented when not in print layout mode. WHAT THE F*!@!?? I've been battling this for a while now and i'm at my wits end. Has anyone else experienced different results from when you are in print layout mode as opposed to being in print layout mode?
iam using the ReportViewer Control in Visual Studio 2008 for displaying the report on the page. When iam going to Click on Print button iam getting the below error. Unable to load client print control
I have googled and searched the forums for an answer to this but nothing seems to fit.
I have installed the SP1 release of SQL 2008 Report Viewer Distributable and the SP1 of 2005 as well. My report viewer control is pointing at version 9.0.0.0 in the page references and web.config.
The problem is when clicking on the print icon i get the ActiveX control install prompt, click install it disappears briefly and I then get the "Unable to load client print control error". This is happening on my development machine.
Under the C:WINDOWSDownloaded Program Files folder i have a control with the name {0D221D00-A6ED-477C-8A91-41F3B660A832} I have tried removing this and allowing the ActiveX to install again, but this has made no difference.
I have the "Unable to load print control" on two live web servers so want the control working on my development machine before i tackle the issue on the servers.
after updating sqlserver2005Express to sp3 on our server (IIS and sqlserver2005 on the same machine with windowsserver2003 installed), we now receive the "unable to load client print control" on all clients from our aspx-application, built with vwd2008.It worked fine before the sp3 update. The rsclientprint.cab file resides in ...Microsoft SQL ServerMSSQL.2Reporting ServicesReportserverin.I read through hundreds of posts and for my understandig it is important to have the right version of the rsclientprint.cab file. So I (again) updated the reportserver redestributebals2005 and 2008. After that I expected to have a new (version of) rsclientprint.cab file in the .in directory, but this file wasn't installed.
I have created a drill down report in SSRS which works fine in Visual studio but when deployed and viewed using a report viewer on an asp.net web page it acts funny. It load fine the first time but as soon as i expand any of the drill downs the width of the report suddenly becomes very! lengthy and the details data disappears.
I have a website that uses the ajax control toolkit targeting 3.5. We use tabs control on a few pages. On some client computers the tab control is not displayed. It doesn't collapse the are like it has a placeholder for the control but nothing shows up. No error message is given. Has anyone experienced similar problems.
And we deploy it onto customer machines. The application calls various .exe files on the the machine. We sometimes get permissions issues and we were wondering what the reccomendations are for deploying web apps in this way. Should we be telling our customers to leave the app out of the domain until we install our software and have it all up and running? Are there any articles that would go over permissions and how c# and asp.net interract with the machine?
I am developing a web application in vs.net 2010 using asp.net 4.0 in c# and using IIS. Application is running success fully in local host and server. when run application without IIS in local host then I get all printer name ( installed and also not installed).
but the problem is that when I run application with IIS in server then application running successfully but I am not able to add printer name in drop down list of client computer.
Now I am printing the data from model in mvc. I am also printing the documents, How I upload file how to print that particular documents which is related that particular user with the other data...
I've got a web app developed in VS 2008, using the .net 3.5 framework.Within the app I've got the reportviewer control. It's pointing to a report built in VS 2005 as my server uses SQL Server 2005, and therefore Reporting Services 2005.When I click the print button on the report viewer toolbar I get "Unable to load client print control".When I go to the report directly (http://servername/reports) and click the print button from there it works.I assume that it's to do with the versions I'm using. I do have the report viewer 2008 installed on the server. What's the best way to fix it? I'd rather not develop the app in VS 2005, but will if that's the only way.
I am having an issue where if I click on the print icon in the report viewer embedded in an application, I get the error "unable to load client print control". However, when running through report manager, this is fine. I am running SQL Server 2005 SP3 and report viewer 9.
It seems the Print Icon in Reporting Services is now throwing up a Windows Authentication box. Even when entering my domainusername and password, nothing happens. It just keeps popping up?
Our reporting service URL is a http://IP Address/........
Not sure if that has anything to do with it. We did add the I.P. in the Local Intranet Zones but still nothing works.
Upgraded to IE 8 and received the "Unable to load client print control" msg researched this a bit and everything pointed to the Killbit hotfix. However we did not install this hotfix so this can't be the problem. Uninstalled IE 8 and went back to IE 6 still get the error msg.
Running windows 2003 server, SQL server 2005sp2 on same box
I am doing a SSRS report to generate some kind of print outs.
I need to have different footers inside the whole print out.
e.g. After first several pages I need to use page number as page footer( this can be easily done). but after that i need have footers as Annex A -1, Annex A-2, or Annex B -1 , Annex C - 1, when the page is Annex A, Annex B...etc.
I'm a software manager that want to select a Reporting engine and develop international application , i want to know Dose SSRS support multi-languages environments(Special in Report Builder for end users) or not ?
I use SSRS to generate an XML file using XSLT. All is fine, except that the XML file starts with the letters 'EF BB BF' which I need to get rid of. How do I generate an XML file without it?
I need a reliable method to switch off users' access to SSRS dynamically. If you care about the reason, users are not allowed to access SSRS from home, but they are allowed access from within the factory walls.
I can generate a token or event when they arrive at work or leave, no problem, such is the sophistication of our security system.
So I can create a little .net app that pokes SSRS in some way and tells SSRS to allow that username to access reports. When the users leaves the premises, the .net app will prod SSRS to deny that username access.
I considered dynamically adding and removing usernames from the authentication section of web.config in the SSRS root dir, as in <deny=usernamelist />. But given the frequency of changes (dozens per hour at peak times), that seems too intrusive, as it probably causes the restart of the app.
I tried adding usernames to the ACL on the SSRS physical directory (Microsoft SQL ServerMSSQL.2Reporting ServicesReportServer) as deny reader, and for a few brief minutes I thought I had arrived at a solution, but for some reason SSRS decided to serve pages to denied users seemingly at random. Must be cached somewhere, although I can't for the life of me figure out why that would be happening seemingly at random.
I rather like the ACL idea from the perspective of ease of control, and if there's a simple thing i have overlooked in the way SSRS interacts with IIS and NTFS permissions, I hope someone can point it out so I can understand why the ACL seems to be mostly ignored.
