I change Settings in SQL surface Area Configuration---> Remote Connection ( checked the Local and Remote Connection ) Then while running the application it showing the following error.(I make off the firewall also) An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. View 1 RepliesI do understand this question might seem easy to solve but I am failing to. I am supposed to write an application (in C# preferably but VB won't hurt), that read a CSV file and store the data in a SQL server database. However, here are the problems that i am facing.
1. The CSV file will keep changing because some external devices will be updating the file every 5 min
2. I would like to save the data in sql asap but I wonder how since I am afraid there could be some conflict
3. I am trying to use file changes using FileSystemWatcher but I do not know how it works really.
I have over 500 stored procs within one database. I want to copy them all over to another database? What would be the quickess way to do it without executed each individual one?

I have a local database which is updated regularly. Now I need a good way to reflect the local database changes into the remote sql server. Both the server have same database structure.
All the above pocess should work automatically from the local database server because I need to update the remote one so that the website visitor can get the updated results in the morning.I need a detailed description/ procedure to accomplish the work.
I want to merge a software with a website.I have no source code of software, but i want to the database of online data and offline data will automatically synchronize. I have only control over website, online database and offline database.. Is it possible, if yes how?

but when i feed data in offline database, online database automatically updated.

I'm a little frustrated here. I have turned the default database offline then used windows explorer to copy the database to another location but when I tried to take the database online again this error came out:
Cannot open user default database. Login failed. Login failed for user 'Zephere-pcephere(JuLian Yong)'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 4064) The cause is that the default database is set offline, How do I bring it back online agian?
I have production server on our intranet and we have website on remote server with its own database. Now we want to sync some tables from our local database to remote database at some interval of time. I have own idea that if data sync is fail than we should get email about that from remote database.
For above scenario I was looking some ideas from you guys and different method to do it. I know about replication of database how to do that. Can we do it by asp.net, SSIS package which will be easy.
My website is working but when I host it up, the connection are all screw up. Is it because my connectionString are all linked via SqlDatasource and is for local files only? Whats the coding that I need to put in so that my site will connect to the database via accessing the web.config or server?

I recently learnt of a method to display binary images, from a sql table, that requires that the image's ImageUrl be a url of a second page with a querystring value. For example, if I have two pages, Page1 and Page2, If my image is on Page1, the imageUrl would be something like page2.aspx?ImgID= ImageID(The Querystring value passed to Page2 from Page1) . This method displays the image perfectly in the local host but then only the red X icon, that replaces a missing image, shows up when I run my application online.
Why are the images not displaying and how may I correct this? I have my codes below.
Image on Page1:
[Code]....
And this code displays the image on page1 but is the same on page2:

I had developed a program a few years back that stored data in an XML file. Over the years, I had accumulated about 500 or so records in the XML file. I wanted to replicate this program online using SQL as the holder of my data.
So I started developing the program using VB 2005 and ASP using the local SQL server on my computer. The first thing I wrote in my program was a piece that took the data from the XML and copied it into the SQL automatically...which was nice, made it easy. Then I continued to work on the program.
Eventually I copied everything to my online area and started running it, everything seems to be working fine so far but I'm stuck.
Is there a way to take the 500 or so records I have locally in a SQL Database and upload it to the SQL Database with the exact same structure that is online so I don't have to re-enter all these things?
im trying to transfer my database from local machine to server, im using the publish to provider wizard in visual web developer to generate a scrip, im then using the generated script on the serever database.

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to transfer records from SQL central database (who has a public IP address) into SQL local database (who doesn't have a public IP)?
or if it's not possible can I use a centralized website instead to pass some data into the local website? (but i'm not sure if it will have some security concerns)..
