SQL Server :: Insert Value From One Table To Another In SQL Using CreateUserWizard Control?

I am using CreateUserWizard Control to register clients in my SQL Database. I have two tables: Customers and Categories. Customers CustomerID is a foreign key in Categoris. It is also automatically generated when values are inserted into Customers table.Categories tables receives values from CheckBoxList control as CatCodes. Everything works fine but one. When values are inserted into Customers and Categories table during registration, CustomerID is not inserted into the Categories table using the following sql code:

I have tested is in SQL management studio and it gives no error, which means code is correct. Also, following is my full code with code behind to better understand what is going on. It's been a week now I am struggling with this and can't understand why it is not inserting CustomerID into the Categories table. I need it to identify preferred categories for each client.

I am doing a data warehouse project.I have two tables tblA (id, type) and tblB(city, no_crimes, type).I want to create (insert) a number of rows based on the value of no_crimes.For Example, in tblB(Leeds, 2000, murder). SO, I need to insert 2000 rows into tblA by a single INSERT statement (not 2000 statements).

As I know, we can use INSERT INTO (....) SELECT FROM command to select data from one table and can insert into another table.
Now I need instead of 1 table, I want to select data from one table and Insert into another 2 tables.
Shall I write another INSERT INTO (..) SELECT FROM command or is there any other way?

I want to insert a new store, get its ID and insert some categories in one go.

I got data from different 2 tables and then this selected data trying to insert into new table. Selected data have multiple records.
how may i insert selected multirows into new table which has already been created into db.

I have 3 tables. I need to insert data from 2 tables into the 3rd table.
The first table has 2 fields -- c_id, c_key
The second table has -- t_id, u_id, partial_c_key
I need to insert c_id, u_id in the 3rd table.
Problem is partial_c_key in the second table contains only a part of the c_key in the first table.
Ex:
First table:
c_id--c_key
1--200A
2--200B
3--200C
4--301A
Second Table:
t_id -- u_id -- partial_c_key
1--23--200
2--36--301
In the data above partial_c_key 200 has 3 c_ids in the first table (1,2,3 with values 200A, 200B, 200C) and 301 has just 1 which is 301A.
In the 3rd table I need to insert c_id, u_id so the data should be
u_id -- c_id
23 -- 1
23 -- 2
23 -- 3
36 -- 4
How do I write a query to accomplish that?

Below I have a bunch of SQL statements that creates a table at runtime and the "pic" column is a dynamic column and the code creates the number of "pic" columns depending on the count of the uploader control. the problem comes when I try to insert into that table and I am trying to say for every "pic" declare variable @pic....
it works well for just one file in the uploader but for multiple files i get the following error

i need to call multi dropdown for products that retrieve product name from microsoft sql and get the price as the product is been selected from the dropdown for total amount for the customer.Example is for customer to buy 6 product.The client is to enter the number of product purchase and the 6 dropdown appears as he click ok button.And as the clients select the product from the dropdown the price sum up together before saving into database.

I have a table setup in the database for users who are basically going to create a classified listing. How can I setup a diagram that would easily create a table relationship with the Users table, so that it automatically inserts the users username when they submit a new ad? If so, how? I've tried adding a UserName row to my table and creating a relationship with the Users table "UserName" row, but it wasn't accepting the relationship when I tried to save the diagram...apparently because the UserName row in the Users table isn't a primary key?
Also, one this is setup, what's the best way to provide the user a way to see a list of their ads and have the ability to edit them?

I am using ASP.Net 4.0/Visual Studio 2010. However, I think it would be the same if it was ASP.Net/VB.Net 3.5. I am inserting three form filed values into a database table. I have placed a LoginName Control on the page and the login name is properly displaying. I am using forms Authentication and it is set up properly in the web config file. I simply want to insert the logged in username value into the database table so I can track who created the records. I am happy to be able to insert the UnserName or the UserID value. I assume both of the values are derived out of the aspnet_Users table. Being able to insert either one would be fine but I believe UserID would be better because it will always be unique.

I have an excel sheet that contains around 30,000 rows and 18 colmns. These no of rows and columns may increase in future. I need to read all these records from excel sheet and insert into a table in sql database. For reading the excel book I am using Oledbconnections. The possible solutions I have known as per my knowledge, to insert the data are
1. To insert one record at a time which makes 30,000 database hits. How will this affect the performance?
2. To use liked servers - bu this is not working for me.I do not have database permissions to use linked servers. So, the only option i have is the first one.
