Unlock UI With JQuery BlockUI Plugin After The Open / Save As Dialog Box Appears?

I'm using jQuery BlockUI Plugin to show busy message when a click event is fired.
In the scenario below, it's working fine. The busy message shows and locks UI on click event, and dissapears when postback's done.
No file creation involved, which invokes browser Open/Save As dialog box

I am using the following code to write the contents of a string (converted to a byte array) to the client in ASP.NET/C#

fileName is the name of the file ending with the file extension (.pgn). However, the file is saved as a .txt file, ignoring the extension that I am giving it. Would this have to do with the Response.Contenttype = "text/plain"? How can I get the Open/Save dialog to display and save the correct (.pgn) filename?
Also, if filename is a string separated by dashes or spaces, when the Open/Save dialog comes up, the filename is not displayed in its entirety but it is truncated where the first dash (-) or space (or comma) is encountered. How can this be remedied?

I have a mail list where i can select many mails and download (with/without opening the mail). During the download process i update the mail status(download/open) and show the content in pdf. In normal browser dialog opens where user can save open or cancel options exits. But if the user cancel then the update process done on the mail should not happen. so i think about doing the update process if the user clicks open or save but how can i identity that client control (i think it depend on the browser)

i wan code for profile image setting. user can able to resize image by selecting size in the dropbox. and image cand drag specific location,(canvas image-->image can bigger then canvas and he can drag image withini the canvas,image shoud save--withini the canvas width and height)
Rquirements
1)user upload the image and will save that image and will disply the image at left side show in the figure.
2) user can select the size of the image from dropbox. the image size will be alter depend upon the selected size.
3)user can drag the image in the specific location. i mean selecting image with mouse can drag, shoud be dragable.
4)same as profile image setting of gmail,facebook and skype.

I have an .aspx page with a couple of textfields. I validate these with jQuery validation plugin when the user clicks the submit button. When the submit button is clicked I also open up a new window, but I only want to open the window if the fields are correctly filled out.How do I stop the window from opening if the fields are not validated?

I have a page listing 10 students in database.. as name and view profile. name is the name of the student and view profile is a link for viewing students profile. There is a link for each student. So i have to show a jquery UI Dialog from codebehind. I've tried everything: this, this, this, and also changed those answers to test if it works with me but is not working. I'm using the first solution because it's organized. It works if i use alert('whatever') instead of my jquery dialog code. so i know its working, but nothing happens with the dialog. I've tried it with colorbox also, and not working either.

i have 2 link buttons each will open different dialog(using JQuery UI). the problem is if i open Dialog 1 then its showing some content after that if i selects Dialog 2 then its also showing the same content of dialog 1 upto the proper content loaded for Dialog2.may i know why this happens and how to resolve it?
