I watched the How do i video about the wizard control and now I am facing a few problems with the wizard control.Let me ask then one by one.
i want to insert a linkbutton named exit wizard in this position of the image:
how to do this?
i have added a hyperlink in the gridview and i am displaying the image names in the grid as hyperlinks
when i click on the hyperlink in the grid, the related image has to be displayed in the same page but in another div which is next to gridview
but for me ,image is displaying in another page
I want to insert the record at any position in a grid view means
means if i add Insert buuton at every row of grid view.
& when i click on insert button of an perticular row a new row is created just next to this row on which i click.
But it does not made any effect on its id.
i make my id auto incremented so i just want to insert record at any position but id remain as its in a usual manner
supoose i add 7 record i have 7 record id is 7 & i click on a insert button of id 7 record then now row is display to insert the reord just next to record 3 & the inserted record id should show 8 id

View 1 RepliesI am using CreateUserWizard control where I collect personal information from the user on the first step (ie. name, address, tel, mobile etc) then on the second step I collect information for membership service (ie. user name, password, email etc). When user clicks Create button, information is sent to two different tables in the same database. Everything works fine but one.
In the first step where I collect personal information, I also collect details about Interest which is a CheckBoxList (CheckBoxList is getting values from Interests table: 1-White, 2-Green, 3-Brown, 4-Maroon, 5-Yellow).
What I want to do is, when client selects his itnerest categories and clicks Create button, to send selected values from CheckBoxList into the third table called Categories. I want values to be registered into the CatCode column in Interests table as comma delimited. For example: if client selected "White", "Green" and "Yellow", appropriate values for those interests (such as 1, 3, 5) to be registered under Categories table CatCode column (like: 1,3,5).

I have a standard asp button and on click it triggers:

I've placed a link button control on my web form and added the click event to the code behind automatically), but I've placed a break point and it never hits it. If I do the same thing with a button it works just fine.I've searched for this problem and none of the results seem to answer why mine isn't working. Maybe I'm just missing something?

Then I am able to "Add New Data Source" and so on. But when I create a new Web Application. I can not do that. Am I not able to create a Data Source on web applications?

I could copy databases without a care in the world. Including constraints, stored proc., AND the data, etc.
Now, with v2008, the wizard is dumbed down too much. It's a "stupid" copy function that fails on the first constraint it meets.
"Copy database.." is not an option here: it needs sysadmin on both source and destination server.
Re-adding the constraints manually is not an option either: the database is WAY too large.
I'm actually hoping there is a temporary bug in the import/export wizard. Each option (and you have THREE...) returns with a new error.

I'm trying to get used to sql server 2008 having been forced to upgrade by my isp. I need to back up my key db on a weekly remote schedule, so have been trying to use ssms to export data from my remote db to a local copy.
Firstly I created a new empty db on the local machine. Then I scripted the structure of the db on the remote machine and ran the resulting query on the local machine to copy the table structure into the new db. This gave me empty target tables to map to (see
below).
I used the export data wizard and selected my remote tables, then highlighted the tables to be copied and used the Edit Mappings option. Here I need to do two things, firstly checking'Enable Identity Insert' (because I have a unique id in most tables which is identity seeded, and I've read that if this is not checked sql server will helpfully renumber your entire table, rendering all your foreign key references useless). Secondly I need to decide what to do with the data already in the destination table. SQL 2k DTS simply dropped the destination table and recreated it. SQL 2008 will either keep the structure and delete the rows therein, or drop the table and recreate it. Because I intend to save this package and call it on a schedule in the future, I need to choose one of these options, because next time the target db won't be empty.
If I choose the delete rows option, when the package runs I get the following error when the process gets ot the first table with an identity ID which is used elsewhere in the db as a foreign key.

Half a dozen preceding tables did seem to transfer fine, but the process falls down on this one table. What I want is for the process to ignore constraints whilst it does the backup.
Undeterred I tried the other option, dropping each table and creating a new version. This time I get the error:

I have an ASP.NET web site which contains some ImageButton controls that cause postbacks used to filter a list of products to certain groups of products.

Now I am moving to ASP.NET 4.0 with SEO-friendly paths like /products/category/item, and I'm using routing with Webforms to map URL's to webforms. In the process, I want to replace my image buttons with hyperlink controls showing the image, so that I can associate a navigational URL with each image.
I'm creating my new image hyperlink something like this:

The big problem I'm facing: the ImageButton used to put a border="0" attribute on the <img> tag in HTML to avoid a border around the image. But how can I achieve the same result using the hyper link control?
With the current setup, the border="0" gets stuck onto the <a href="...."> tag - and that's not exactly what I want / need.

If I click this button it is working OK (it will respond with a PFD file so no HTML is sent back to the browser), but if I click another button on the page (which makes a full postback) the LinkButtonPrint will not have the inner content, it will be rendered like this:
