Have a Tab Container with 3 Tab Panels and trying to find the event that is fired when clicking the different tabs.
Tried to use "TabContainer1_ActiveTabChanged" but it does not seem to enter this event (tried with debug point but no hit).
I have a Gridview which contains templated column that has 5 checkboxes in it. When you click on one checkbox, I want to uncheck the other 4.
I am using the Item Template for this. I don't want the user to have to Select a row, before clicking on the checkboxes. Here is my non-working code to uncheck the other checkboxes. I realize it's not "SelectedRow" that I want since there's no selected row, so how do I find the row containing the checkbox that fired off CheckChanged?

I am using a grid control from ComponentOne and I had asked their support how I can call a VB code routine when a row is clicked on. They said no such event is available but gave the following code below. In the code below it looks like they are calling the "alert('click')" code when a row is clicked for client side. Is this right? If so, how can I call a routine in the vb code with this? I know this example is C which I can change over. I need to get data from a couple cells on the row that they click and run some vb code.

I have a panel which has a repeater within it. Within the repeater I have a few controls. One of those controls is a Drop Down list which has an OnSelectedIndexChanged event. I can get this to fire without issue but I cannot find my DropDownList control within that repeater within the SelectedIndexChanged event . The repeater has an OnItemDataBound event and I can use the RepeaterItemEventArgs to find the control using e.Item.FindControl("ControlName") without issue but when that event occurs is NOT when I need to find the DropDownList.
What I want to do is have another control's Visible property be set to "true" when the value of the DropDownList meets a certain value. As far as I know I can only do this during the SelectedIndexChanged event and I can't change the signature of the event by trying to use RepeaterItemEventArgs.

A breakpoint is set on FillForm() and this method is called two times but I can't explain myself why this happens. I have client side javascript code, when the form is being send, the onsubmit method is also called twice... Where do I have to search?! Is it a (known) bug? I have created an asp.net applications in which i am using jquery tabs to show say profile modifications information. I want user to see his profile info as well as he will be able to edit his details and save the information. for this purpose i have created an aspx page "MyProfile.aspx" and 3 ascx pages
say "page1", "page2" and "page3".
When i run "MyProfile.aspx" i can see all 3 tabs showing correct information. But problem is when i edit contents and try to save them back to the database. Contents on page1 are stored correctly. But page2 and page3 doest not fire any event. In all 3 pages I am using ajax n jquery to save data to database. and when i try to save contents of page2 and page3 nothing occurs.I am showing 3 tabs there of which first tab edits save the details but second and third tabs do not fire any event on button click.
I have a gridview in an update panel which is declared in an ASPX page, and bound to a SQLDataSource in code. The gridview's 'allowsorting' attribute is set to true, and because it is bound to a SQLDataSource, I expect the sorting to be automatically handled.
Yet I am getting the "Message: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: The GridView 'grdStatusItems' fired event Sorting which wasn't handled" error. I am using Visual Studio 2008, IE8, IIS7. What am I doing wrong? I have done anextensive search for this error, but it seems in most cases where this error occurs, the people are not using a SQLDatasource, so have to handle the sorting event themselves. I have one Button (Refresh Button), One ComboBox (containing DEV and UAT as its items) and a GridView on my asp page.
I am filling up my Grid with values from database on the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event and Buttons's 'Click' event.
First time when page is loaded, there is no information in the grid, but when i choose DEV/UAT from the ComboBox 'TextChanged' event is fired, the grid is filled with the relevant data. That is what i want.
When i click the Refresh Button to refresh the data again, first comboBox's 'TextChanged' event and then 'btn_Click' event is fired.
I want then when a button id pressed only 'Click' event to be fired and not the ComboBox's 'TextChanged' event.

There is a bug in jQuery 1.4.2 that makes change event on select-element getting fired twice when using both DOM-event and a jQuery event, and this only on IE7/8.Here is the test code:

This causes alot of trouble for us in our application cause we use both ASP.NET-events mixed with jQuery and once you hook up a change event on any element every select (dropdown) gets this double firing problem.

View 3 RepliesI'm having trouble managing how to call upon databind from clicking on a row over an already populated repeater that will populate data regarding the row clicked TO another repeater on the same page.
I've succeeded doing that with postback, calling a jquery click event of that row, taking the data of the specific row and passing it onto a "Querystring" and after postpack, it will be pushed into a Session which the ObjectDataSource of the secondary repeater will recognize and populate the data tables accordingly.
The problem is, I must do it without a postback or in other words purely on client side.

I have parent page which loads child control which in turn contains DataGrid with template field and button has associated Click() event with it. Problem is that Click() event is not actually called at all. Sample code is below.

I have 3 Checkbox named as ParentChk1, ParentChk2, ParentChk3 and i having three childcheckboxlist. Each ParentChk want to enable corresponding childcheckboxlist. Now issue is while i am checking ParentChk1 and ParentChk2 continuously, the ParentChk1 checking event is not fired.
