I'm so new at this it's pretty pathitic. I have Visual Studio 2008 Team edition and I'm following the walkthough in the help file about how to create your first basic site. All went well until I got to that part about "Put the insertion point after asp:Label in the <asp:Label> tag, and then press SPACEBAR.
A drop-down list appears that displays the list of properties you can set for aLabel control. This feature, referred to as IntelliSense, helps you inSource view with the syntax of server controls, HTML elements, and other items on the page. The following screen shot shows the IntelliSense drop-down list for theLabel control.IntelliSense for Label control"

I've got an interesting one here - I honestly don't think I've had this issue before. My folder system looks something like this (as noobish as it may be):
-Root ../Pages ../Pages/Admin ../Pages/OtherFolder ../Pages/AnotherFolder etc.
Now - I've got a Masterpage file in the Pages folder which is the general look of the entire site. Then, in each Pages Folder there's going to be another Masterpage inheriting the Page Folder Masterpage File. This seemed like a very simple and standard approach. But I'm having an issue. When editing the application in VWD2008E - I can see the Page Masterpage file just fine in Design View. But when trying to look at the the Masterpage Files, say the Admin Folder or the OtherFolder, in Design View - nothing shows except the Page Masterpage. It's really frustrating. Oddly, when running the application, no errors pop up and the sub-folder masterpages/pages show up just fine. They simply won't display in the editor.

If I build my project and there are errors, the build fails, and for the last 4 years I've been using Visual Studio the error list panel has always popped up showing why the build failed. Now, the tab for the error list panel is visible at the bottom of my screen, but grayed out, so I can't click on it. This started happening yesterday. I've tried rebooting, the project build is set to Debug, and in the Tools/Options/Projects and Solutions menu, "Always show Error List if build finishes with errors" is checked.

I created a web site in visual studio 2008, the languaje is C#. After that, I created a master page for my web forms. The problem is: When I generate a new web form and choose the master page, the new web form can't display the content of the master page in designer mode or in the browser (by example, my web form is located in a directory called Users and master page is located in a directory called MasterViews. Only I can display them, if both files are in same location.
I reviewed the path of master page in the page directive, I changed the path with the same result.

my problem doesn't involve any programming per se but it involves the interface of VWD so I hope I'm posting in the correct space. Anyways, most of the time when I scroll over something in VWD whether it be something in the Getting Started box or an option from one of the menu bar items a full-colored block will cover it and won't go away. This doesn't seem to be hurting anything but it is quite the annoyance. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix this? This does seem specific to VWD and no other application on my PC.

I just recently upgrade my asp.net web project from visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2010. The upgrade was successful with no problems however im missing some features with this project. The One Click Publish feature(which is greyed out) in the header area of Visual Studio 2010 and the Add Config Transforms feature which is no where to be seen when you right click on web.config. When i create a new web project straight from visual studio 2010, these options work fine.

Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 locked up, and when I tried to restart it, it wouldn't load, so I did a devenv.exe /resetuserdata to get it going again. It reset everyhing in my options of the web app/ etc, and now some AJAX conrols don't work such as dragpanel. I assume that it is because something got reset that I haven't enabled again, but can't figure it out.
